This is a project started by me for the development of our SOC. All the other SOC's have moved ahead in their development and we are lagging behind them. Even some MTK6577 SOC's have got 4.2 and most of our phones are still on 2.3 or 4.0.x at average and 4.1.x is very rare:crying:
This will be a thread for developing of some groups of particular specs so there is an ease for porting
If you want a new group and/or a new device pm me. dont reply for request. replies are only for debugging, porting help, etc.

I m searching for cwm recovery and custom rom for my rooted hcl me y3 tablet (based on MT6575,CORTEX A9 1Ghz(single core with integrated graphics),1gb ddr3 ram,1080x600 wsvga display)...plz help me....

I can not help you in searching custom rom, but you can create CWM recovery through MTKDroid tool. Check this page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412

its for mtk devices and based on cwm 6.0.4.4 and is full touch version (credits- master shifu yuweng and carliv)

Well you have done a lot of development for your tab but as you know there is no source code for our devices
U can't update your tab unless provided by the manufacturer or a clone of your tablet has received a jb update
Mine is a clone of Pap 4040 duo and i m tryin to port the lg's jb to mine but it uses a mtd partition and has NFC so a big problem
Find a clone and see whether it has a updated kernel or not. By the way what's your kernel version?

I am a Android newbie related to XDA dev team ! Just got my Byond B63 rooted after trying numerous methods in the forum.
Provided some apps with root access to tweak most from my phone running Android 4.1.1.
Now decided to try a new custom ROM for my device which I could not find anywhere.
Is there any custom ROM for my MTK 6577, qHD, 512MB RAM device ? If it is not there yet, whether using custom ROM for MTK6577 of other device advisable ?

Today I saw One-more link mentioning new Kernel & ROM for MT6577 phone.

My phone Lava Iris 454 has same chip-set with 4.5" display.
Please let me know how to port this Kit-Kat ROM to my device which is now running Custom 4.2.2 ROM with 3.4.0 Kernel (only Camera Bug).

Calm down guys.This is fourth official Kitkat to mediatek.First was lenevo,second elephone and third was zoppo.But we were unable to port any of these.Why?I dont know.....the only reason i see that there is lack of modules folder under lib directory which helps rom to boot.When the firmware of Mmx a106 will be available then i will surely check.

You can install the unofficial ports of cm11 or aokp or omni

The V3 rom is not custom... it is stock rom... i personally prefer V1 but it's up to you which one to use... V3 doesnt have bugs (minor ones maybe) and can flashed for daily use
Kitkat is available only for mt6592... Others have to wait...

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing great. Can anyone help me install a custom recovery on my Micromax Funbook mini P410. (CWM/TWRP ?) I'd also like to know about finding compatible custom roms for the device as I'm new to this. I just cant seem to do it myself; and there aren't enough resources online for this device. It is a mt6577 device (shows up as mobistel cynus t2 in windows). I wanted to post a link for the device , but apparently I'm not allowed to do so as I'm a new member. Looking forward for some help.....

OppoSimUnlockScreen crashes

i wanted to use this rom but unfortunately OppoSimUnlock crashes everytime i start the phone so i am not able to enter my pins nor i am able to do something with my phone.
Tried flashing it a few times but didnt work.
I am on the german version of the Micromax A110 which is called Cynus T2
