This is a project started by me for the development of our SOC. All the other SOC's have moved ahead in their development and we are lagging behind them. Even some MTK6577 SOC's have got 4.2 and most of our phones are still on 2.3 or 4.0.x at average and 4.1.x is very rare:crying:
This will be a thread for developing of some groups of particular specs so there is an ease for porting
If you want a new group and/or a new device pm me. dont reply for request. replies are only for debugging, porting help, etc.

Hey there guys, it's been a long time since I updated this, this is probably the last update as I now rarely use xda due to my studies so I won't be able to update this thread anymore. But if you want then you can post about your device info in this format too so that other people who visit this thread can also find about them. I am using Lenovo S880, searching for JB rom. I tried porting few JB rom available for MT6575 processor phones. But not succeeded.

I m searching for cwm recovery and custom rom for my rooted hcl me y3 tablet (based on MT6575,CORTEX A9 1Ghz(single core with integrated graphics),1gb ddr3 ram,1080x600 wsvga display)...plz help me....

I can not help you in searching custom rom, but you can create CWM recovery through MTKDroid tool. Check this page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412

get a ctr recovery instead
its for mtk devices and based on cwm 6.0.4.4 and is full touch version (credits- master shifu yuweng and carliv)

Well you have done a lot of development for your tab but as you know there is no source code for our devices
U can't update your tab unless provided by the manufacturer or a clone of your tablet has received a jb update
Mine is a clone of Pap 4040 duo and i m tryin to port the lg's jb to mine but it uses a mtd partition and has NFC so a big problem
Find a clone and see whether it has a updated kernel or not. By the way what's your kernel version?

[Q] MICROMAX FUNBOOK mini P410 help!

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing great. Can anyone help me install a custom recovery on my Micromax Funbook mini P410. (CWM/TWRP ?) I'd also like to know about finding compatible custom roms for the device as I'm new to this. I just cant seem to do it myself; and there aren't enough resources online for this device. It is a mt6577 device (shows up as mobistel cynus t2 in windows). I wanted to post a link for the device , but apparently I'm not allowed to do so as I'm a new member. Looking forward for some help.....

Hey I found a solution...if installed carliv touch recovery 2.2 Based on cwm. Its there in a thread in xda on generating it for mtk devices...thanks anyway !

Hmm ... there is not much about it on xda.

no os installed error
I have ported twrp for y541 uo2 .my phone boots into twrp but ican't even backup .when i try to restart through twrp it says no os even though i have working stock rom .what do now is this due to mess in porting plzz help

Thanks for your help i have been waiting long time someone will reply me soon. But no one so I decided to build twrp recovery by myself I successfully ported twrp recovery for my device. And also build some custom roms. And publish it on YouTube Here is the link.
