Is there a way to fully root this device without a PC, if not maybe at least a temp root without PC? Any help is appreciated thanks.
I am not aware of any ways to root without a PC, however it isnt very difficult with the A9 to root with a PC.

Darn, I could easily do it with a PC too, however, I just don't have access to one right now

Hello Guys
I always root my old devices without problems following your guides but.......
I've a problem connecting my tf300 to Win or Linux pc via USB; when i plug-in the cable it says "unkown device".
Obviously i tried to install many kind of drivers, asus sync or universal drivers without lucky.
My question: is there a way to root my device without pc? (or just in case do you have some proposal to solve my problem with unkown device on pc?)
Thank you so much in advance.

You can use framaroot to root it, it just installs an app to try rooting.

I tried both software but in both case my device is not recognized by pc... always "Unknown Device"
There might be something wrong with your tablet then. I used kingo to root mine just the other day.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
Nah it'll be a drivers issue - it always is.
Give the naked drivers a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...nt/adb-fb-apx-driver-universal-naked-t2513339
They worked at my tablet flawlessly with kingo root.
towelroot maybe? it can root almost anything.

Hello. If I root my android phone (htc one m9), will I be able to unroot it afterwards?
And are there any good programs that can root my phone model with a single click, without me doing it manually?

Use KingRoot app to root your device. If you use KingRoot or SuperSU super user app then both apps have unroot option that can completely remove root from your android.
I installed KingRoot on PC , but all is in Chinese language?
And btw, can I screw up my phone with root, can something bad happen, like bricked phone during/after root? Is there a chance for that to happen? Or root is totally safe?

Can't say that rooting android is 100℅ safe. But I never bricked my androids by rooting them. After root if you delete any system file other than bloatwares then it chances to bricked android. Always get nandroid backup after rooting your android.
Have you ever rooted HTC ONE M9?

No. I never rooted any HTC device. If you want root your android then you want to ready for good and bad consequences.
Yeah I think I won't root it...
I wanted to root it because I deleted some photos from my Gallery and I found some programs to recover deleted photos from android, but they all require device to be rooted before scanning for deleted photos. But I'd rather not take that chance of messing up my phone because of a few photos.

Have you tried disk digger photo recovery. It works on both rooted and non rooted android. There is limitation on non rooted android. It may recover your photos.
Yeah I've tried that one, as well as many others from Play Store but most of them just find the photos that I already have in the phone, not the one deleted, or they just can't find it, I guess more deep scan is necessary, that's why it requires my device to be rooted.

Anyone found a way yet to do this without using a pc. I know other threads have found methods but my Pc is broken so I can't root it from there. Thanks

Buy a new computer, easy.
I'm in a bit of a bind because I won't have access to my computer for the next two weeks (religious reasons). Is there a decent alternative if I want to root my S7? I'm okay with risque one clicks for rooting.
I assume you don't already have TWRP?
Without TWRP or access to a PC I don't believe there's any option available to you. They all involve flashing via Odin or TWRP.
To be honest, I don't really know anything about TWRP. But I want to learn. As long as it doesn't involve a PC I think it'd be cool with me.
How would I go about doing that?
TWRP is a custom recovery and you need a pc to flash it through Odin so your stuck without a pc
Is there any risque or oneclick methods that are typically avoided?

You either got to pay or they don't work or they're a scam.
What i'm saying is I'm okay with the risk if I've got to download a one click type thing.
EDIT: I mean is there anything like that?
Any ideas?
Wait two weeks and use the pc.
Hi there i have one question because my phone AUS Rog 3 have problem and i can't anymore connecting with PC because I was playing around with diag mode and probably destroy Motherboard and can't transfer data is a way to Root my phone if i unpack ota update patch img with magisk repack and make update?
You can not root your device using magisk without a PC. You can try a one click root soulution, but I consider them bloat and mal.
