Can't wait to see what new types of cases are going to be released for the LG G5. What cases and accessories in general are you guys waiting for the most?

Otterbox, of course, but I may be buy the S7 .
Pure Gear Dualtek for me
We at Diztronic are doing 2 cases for it. The first being our Voyeur case, which can be seen on Amazon
The second will be a twist on our traditional matte TPU case. We're adding a brushed metal texture into the TPU, and different pattern on the sides of the case to increase grip. There is a new technique out there were we can take a laser to the inside of our molds and create all sorts of cool effects-- brushed metals, carbon fibers, woods, leathers, etc. Spigen used one on their Nexus 6P Rugged Armor case, it's a carbon fiber effect. Looking at the pictures you'd swear it was a carbon fiber inlay, but it's actually just a pattern laser etched into the mold. I'll post some concept renders for our LG G5 TPU Case next week.

That sounds awesome, I've had Diztronic TPU cases on my last 3 phones and currently have one on my G3. Looking forward to it.
Can't wait to see more cases brands releasing their stuff. I think this device is going to be very popular.

It should be! For us, LG G4 was our top selling Android case last in 2015. The LG G5 looks very promising, especially if the battery really drops out the bottom like the leaks are showing. We've yet to see a metal unibody designed phone with a removable battery, and all signs are pointing towards the G5 being the first one (to my knowledge). On our CAD data for the phone, we can see there are 2 buttons on the left and right side of the phone, about an inch up from the bottom. Some manufacturers actually made holes in their cases there, but I'm betting that you press both of them in to the release the battery tray. So, not much point in making a hole for that, since you cant remove the battery with a case on it anyways.
OEM LG cases is best for me

Hmm. Will either case offer quick access to the battery? That would be amazing. Or will that require a 2 piece shell?

I don't have this one but I got the snap on case and it is horrible the casemate snap on was way better, it is one of the worst cases I've ever bought and I heard this company made good cases.

It was supposed to be a question. I just forgot the question mark.... lol.
I doubt these are better
I second the Otterbox Commuter, it's amazing how well built this case is. I thought Incase made the best cases, but Otterbox takes the lead now.
Incipio cases are really rough and feel unfinished. The Feather case I got for my Nexus One actually damaged it slightly cause it had sharp uneven edges, not to mention cracked twice without dropping it even once.

Oh I just posted this in another thread (but is better posted in here)....
Ok well I got this Incipio silicylic hybrid case today, and I'm not that impressed.
It looks nice, and does give the extra support for the silicone down each side of the screen I was looking for. But they've totally cocked up the bottom of the case...
There is no real protection between the trackball and the USB port. The hard plastic is totally cut away there to the back of the phone, leaving a flimsy flap of silicone horizontally between the ball and port. Also the plastic and silicon is cut away right out past the dock port pins, leaving the phone body exposed to a straight down drop on its arse end due to this gaping cutout.
The plastic shell also has very sharp edges at that massive gaping cutout at the bottom too, so it needs dremmeling right out of the box.
If only they'd run a strip of plastic along that edge between trackball and usb port and not just silicone, none of this would be an issue, and it would have been my perfect case. Grrrr.

This is a thread to share M9 cases&screen protectors based on your own real experience, it would be some help to others' to find a favorite case for their new buddy.
Now I'm using Arozell M9 case on Amazon[ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ODTG82 ] over 6 months and it really did the job.The look of the case is amazing. It is made of a plastic that does not feel cheap. There are two interlocking pieces, which makes it simple to remove/put on the case without much hassle. On top of that, there is a stand that folds into the back of the case, when you close it has a very pleasant "clink" when you snap it open and closed. Even though it has this fold-out stand, it does not take up any unnecessary space like a lot of cases that you can find.
Most importantly for me, the case encloses the entire phone. Many cases you will find do not have plastic that wraps around all of the edges of the phone resulting in the entire bottom portion of the phone exposed. This one does protect all of the sides and bottom, with nicely contoured openings for the speaker, headphone jack, and lightning port.

I have 4 cases. The Ringke Slim Gold case which I posted on here already, the Orzly FlexiSlim in smoke black which i really like - its ultra thin!
http://orzly.com/orzly-flexislim-case-for-htc-m9-smoke-black.html
and currently I am using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MYRIANN-Ult...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item46386f94b3
It's like the Poetic Atmosphere but its a clear case - I wish it was smoke translucent.
I've been using a black Ringke Slim. Super slim, love it.
Currenly using the Spigen Slim Armor... generally speaking, I find the Spigen cases to be about as "no-frills-y" as they get, but this one does come with an added feature... gonna post a separate blog about it, but I can definitely confirm that it successfully resisted a 2'-4' drop on corners and face down.
I really like the Tech21 Evo Tactical

Im using this one with the InvisibleShield HDX screen protector, both recommended by the T-Mobile rep who checked me out when I got the phone. He uses the same setup on his M9, says his phone goes through hell, but it looked pristine to me. I've already dropped mine 10+ times in the 2 days I've had it, not a scratch. The "self-healing" tempered glass InvisibleShield is great for the screen, too.
I m using dot view ice premium and generic black slim case and I am happy with them up to now. No spigen purchased 'cause i think they do some bulky cases nowadays.

Spigen Neo Hybrid does a nice job and the camera is just right. I've been using it for over a month
Has anyone picked up the new HTC clear shield case yet? I am trying to compare it to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid as both look pretty similar.
I'm with otterbox right now, and whenever they are available, i'll pick up some junky ones on aliexress. They take a while to get here, but it's nice to have a variety without spending lots.

Ringke Slim
Switched to otterbox, had HTC dotview, but the binding started to rip so I returned it. HTC dotview is a cool concept , but is not practical if you use your phone a lot (IMO)
Went from Spigen Neo Hybrid to UAG and never looking back
Im using a Seidio dilex case with kickstand
Another vote for the Spigen Neo-Hybrid. Nice color choices for the bumper and not bulky.
My UAG arrived today and it looks and feels great. Very pleased.

I just received the Ringke Fusion case today. In my opinion it looks pretty cool and it offers what looks like a significant amount of protection without adding an excess amount of bulk to the device. I had a Spigen Slim Armor case on my Nexus 6, and I like the feel of it better than the Fusion. Kind of wish they made a Slim Armor case for the 6P as well. One good thing about the Ringke Fusion case though, is that it has a clear back. So it doesn't hide any of the 6P's natural beauty. Looks great with my Aluminum 6P and I imagine it will look great if I add a dbrand or slick wraps skin to the 6P as well, since the back of the case is transparent. I feel like I made a great choice for a case, especially considering it was the one I could get shipped to me the quickest from Amazon.

A bit misleading; the ToastMade wood cover is an adhesive skin (similar concept to dBrand and Slickwraps); it's not a case. Only difference is in the materials.

Agreed. And while the concept of a wood case sounds cool, this image from their website really turned me off. Looks kind of like a hack job. I'm not saying it is, or that there's a better way to surround a curvy phone with wood, but I don't like this.

I would call it a case / skin hybrid, as it's much thicker, and more protective than a skin @ ~1mm in thickness. We use high grade adhesives from 3M that keep the device Toasted, and they're easy to install / remove. Also, there's no need to worry about sand and other debris unknowingly getting caught inside your case and scratching your phone. :good:
Oh, and we'll have 6P install / removal video posted up later today or tomorrow.

I got in touch with the people at Carved, who make actual wood cases. The back is made of wood and polycarbonate (or rubber) frames the edges. They said that they're looking into making a case for the N6P, but nothing would be ready until next year.

The problem with real wood cases (rather than covers) is that they're extremely thick and make the phone even more of a challenge to use / fit in your pocket.
Also, cases allow sand and other debris to unknowingly get inside and scratch the device.

Those are scorelines laser etched into the wood, enabling it to wrap the device. The pictures do not do them justice. Also, they provide an amazing grip.

Not thick at all actually. I had a Carved case on my GS4 and it was one of the thinner cases I've owned. The wood they put on the back is cut thin. Their puzzle case was neat with different types of wood for each color.
EvolutiveLabs is currently experimenting with a design for a RhinoShield case (presumably a backless bumper case).
A RhinoShield case will be made for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7. We are experimenting on a new design for this device. If you are interested in knowing more, please do subscribe to this list and we will keep you updated once we have more information.
The current release date is September. Pre-Order will start later this August.
Anyone that's interested in being notified on the latest news/pre-order/etc.. can sign-up here:

Looks like a decent case. I'll be looking forward to it.
Do any other backless bumper cases exist? I never found one for the Note 5 and would like to for the 7. The back on a bumper case is pointless and just adds thickness.

Looks sweet. Though, I'd like at least like a thin back with the honeycomb pattern they advertise for some minor protection, since it's all glass on the back, too.
Im afraid of this cause what if it lands flat on jts back? No protection at all.
I thought the whole point of a bumper was to be raised on the front and back so it can land on flat surfaces on either side and not damage the front or back. That's what makes it a bumper and not a regular case.

Thinking about taking a razor blade to the back of one of these Ringke cases I got for $1 to see if I can make my own bumper case. If no one will make a real bumper, maybe we can at least find the fake bumper case that can be easily converted into a real bumper case.

I'll probably do likewise, the Poetic Affinity case comes to mind.
The EvoLutive Labs/RhinoShield bumper for the HTC 10 adds too much width in the grip.
Some complained about the stiffness of the buttons as well.
I have no problem w/the latter, but,I did find the added width was too much & mine ended up in the land of misfit phone accessories after 1-2 days of use, which was a bummer @ $30..............
This was my favorite case for the note 5, can't wait to try this out especially since they didn't make one for the SD Edge
Good news! The Ringke Fusion, Fusion Mirror, and Frame are all two different types of plastic glued together, so with some bending and a razor blade to start the cut, you can separate them and throw away the back pretty cleanly. I don't have my Note 7 yet to see if it still keeps the camera off the table, and I'm not sure how much I stretched it pulling them apart, but it looks to be exactly what I wanted. Picture attached. These were $1 or $2 with coupon on Amazon a week or two ago. The fourth one I have from Ringke, the Air, is all TPU with no clear line to cut through, so I'm not even going to attempt making that one backless.

I would imagine taking it out of your pockets will dislodge it from your make-shift bumper case

You are correct. The Fusion and Fusion Mirror were too flimsy on their own. The Frame case, however, with its plastic reinforcement wrapping around the TPU, is pretty decent. If you're going to modify a case to turn it into a backless bumper, I recommend only the Ringke Frame of those.

I'm with you. It looks good for sure. But because of the lack of back support, I'll have to pass.
Although looking forward to seeing the pics.
The Frame does work and is sturdy. I'll take a photo soon. Not sure what the advantage of back support is. We don't have front support. We have the lip sticking out on both sides to protect both equally.
I'm having a hard time finding a quality case with a belt clip for this phone. I have bought and sent back 2 from Amazon so far. What is the best case?
No belt clip, but I just ordered this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/192142439659
Quite like the Spigens rugged armour case for moto g5s plus.
https://www.amazon.in/Spigen-Rugged-Armor-Case-Motorola/dp/B0731QBBYY
As much as I'd like to have a slim case, I want something that feels like it's going to do a excellent job. I tried the Tudia Merge case, and it's a very nice case, but there's so very little lip protecting the screen if the phone is dropped. If the phone was to land face down on gravel or an uneven, rough surface, I wasn't confident that the case would do the job.
I settled on this. It's not the most attractive case, it's a little bulky, but the inner cover is silicone and seems like it would do an excellent job protecting the phone if it were dropped. If you go with this one, just a suggestion, once you snap on the outer polycarbonate shell, be sure to pull outward on the flexible silicone layer, to make sure it gets fitted properly. I had problems with the volume up button sticking, until I discovered that pulling on each corner of the silicone made the problem disappear.
Asmart Moto G5s Plus Case, Moto G5S+ Case from Amazon
I have this case. While it offers pretty good protection, I'm not loving it. The TPU on the bottom and top of the case does not have any hard case to support it. So, if you grab the top or bottom of the phone, the TPU stretches quite a bit and feels quite loose. And the TPU on the bottom of the phone (no hard shell) interferes with sliding it in and out of my shirt or pants pocket since the TPU is "grabby". I'm still using it though until I find a more suitable case.

Yeah, the grippiness is annoying. I use a Turtleback holster most of the time, which makes it a lot easier to slip in and out. I've tried a few other cases, but none offered satisfactory protection for the screen, with only a millimeter or two of raised protection.
I'm hoping that UAG or Supcase comes out with an offering for the G5S Plus. They already have one for the G5 Plus, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I got this had a Tudia on my 6P and enjoy it

Spigen. It is great. Not only does it look pretty and holds well in his hand. The disadvantage is the price - 25 Euros.
So far, this is one of my favorite cases for any phone...Has that "Sandstone" feel to it, which is really grippy. Very thin also:

Quite similar to Spigen but has extra grip in the form of silk texture.
I'm using Golden Sand too. Excellent fit, and good grip too.
Here's mine fresh from Amazon.

I've ordered Spigen and then cancelled it and ordered this one instead. I've been looking for a case for some time, and not seen it before. It must be new. I'll let you know how I like it.
Hey. I've got this one and im very satisfied with it. I had spigen on my nexus 5, but I think this oxygen case for g5s plus is even better.

Thanks just bought a gold one of the one you link to and it's excellent. I've taken the Spigen off for now as this is so good.
In Vietnam the phone comes with a free transparent case. So here's what I did with it:
