Hi guys, i'm going crazy with my Huawei y300-0100, after rooting. Running on android 4.1.1.
I deleted too much, as a stupid. Now the problem is i can't save any number in the "contacts" (no preloaded app version, can't find it anymore. I installed from play store two other apps, but can't save any number. One app,"contacts+" says "no app found to manage this action", while i'm trying to save a number..). The problem seems to be related to contact storage.
So, even if i'm a newbe (cause no backup done), i played with root explorer in system/app. Now find out i would need "contacs.apk", "contacts provider (this is storage, right?)", "phone apk", i don't know what else.
Hoping that with these file, i could install the storage from there. Or i don't know what to do.
Thanks a lot. Please help.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support here but we can try to point you in the right direction. There is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4 which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Before you do that, though, you may want to browse the thread specifically dealing with rooting the Tab 4 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785869.
Unless you're already rooted, simply downloading the SuperSU apk from the Play Store won't suffice. There is an entire forum about SuperSU at http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu which you should consider scanning, especially the thread about the current SuperSU v2.46 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 where you will find links to the latest flashable ZIP.
Good luck!
EDIT: Member has now posted in the suggested area. Thread closed.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I think something less sinister than popups and redirects being built into the ROM is going on. The first thing to do is download a root checker app, and make sure you are not rooted without knowing about it (as it will affect the next step).
The other thing to do is a factory reset. Be aware, this will wipe apps downloaded, settings, and in some cases pictures taken and other files downloaded. It will, though, keep the operating system / firmware / ROM intact (which is a good thing).
Once that is done, and basic setup is done, don't install any apps yet. Browse around with the stock browser and see if any of the weirdness has returned. If it hasn't, then congratulations, it was a rouge app. If the weirdness persists, then it could be either a clever rouge app (virus), or you may have been right after all.
If it does persist, then please add a post to this thread:

Note that, in order to post there, you will need to be registered for an XDA account.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Rooted using the Ping-pong Root for the S6. Android 5.1.1. I am trying to use the fIle explorer root to change the csc along with the text edit. My question is when I open the App (Fx), I see two system sections. So, Do I use the System(Root) to get into System/System/csc and edit the features.xml/others.xml or do I use System to get into System/System/csc and edit features.xml or others.xml. I asked because I have features.xml in both. I really don't want to mess up, but I want to have continuous music while I take pictures and videos. So, my question is which section do I use, along with whatdo I actually do with it? Because I have yet to see in my search one to help with my simple question from a lost noob.
Features.xml looks like this
<CscFeature_Camcorder_DoNotPauseMusic>false</CscFeature_Camcorder_DoNotPauseMusic>
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Actually both solutions redirect you to the same path. The /system partition is at the root of your device.
Hope that helps.
But neither of them work
So you can post your question in your device forum help section to get further help:

Hello!
I don't know if it's the right place to ask, sorry if not. Anyways, let's get to it.
So yesterday I rooted my Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9506). I wanted to play Pokemon GO without having to move out of the house, so I used a youtube tutorial on how to do it, which I can provide a link to, but I can't do it here, as I am new on this forum.
So, in the tutorial I was told that I need to have my Android rooted and xposed framework installed, I rooted my phone, but I failed to install xposed framework using TWRP custom recovery, so I gave up. During the process I've installed three applications that are mentioned in the tutorial, which are: Mock Locations, Hide Mock Locations and Team Rocket. I selected Team Rocket app as my mock location app, and I've allowed mock locations. Today I got to know that soon I will be able to change my phone for a better one, that's why I want to clean it completely and make everything work perfectly fine on it.
So my question is, what could be the cause why my satellite GPS can't find location?
Additionaly, but not necessarily, as I think I can find it somewhere in the internet, what can I do to delete custom recovery and revert it back to fabric one, as well as unroot my phone and just completely revert all the system changes and stuff so it will be like it just was turned on for the first time?
There could be some spelling mistakes etc, sorry for that.
