Hello,
I'm having trouble getting the paid for version of Poweramp to recognise my email address for license verification. I've sent three messages through the Get Support function in the app and I haven't had a single reply in 6 days. I've tried posting on the Poweramp forum but all new users need to be cleared by admin before they can post and after four days I still can't get on there.
I know this is probably something only the dev can help with but as I'm getting no response, I'm hoping someone on here can help. Here is the message I sent to Support:
I’ve purchased the app, my e-mail address is showing in accounts but I'm still getting the ‘No such account on device’ message.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling countless times but I'm getting nowhere.
I’m running CM12.1 (Android 5.1.1) on Galaxy S2
My e-mail address is POP3, on my device correctly and working as it should.
Poweramp version is Website and app installed is Poweramp-2.0.10-build-582-uni.apk
What am I doing wrong?

HTC support's response to Froyo & Exchange ActiveSync "Sync protocol error"
So after moving from HTC Hero to Desire Z, I started getting "Sync Protocol Error" after the initial sync with Exchange 2010.
Many threads on this site and on many others sites exist about this issue, a lot of them having a workaround in the shape of removing and re-adding the account, but absolutely nothing worked for me. until I ran into this one and gave it a try:
- I can't posts links..."
I implemented this solution successfully and I now have ActiveSync work perfectly on my device. so wanted this thread to stand out from the dozens of threads on many forums so people can find the solution to this very annoying problem easily.
This is the solution from the original poster and all credit goes to him:
"Have your Exchange admin use the Microsoft mobile admin tool to delete the partnership for the device. Once done, the next sync will succeed."
When trying to implement this solution on Exchange 2010, we found that the "Mobile Admin Tool" is already built into the Exchange Management Console, and these are the steps that you need to take in order to remove the partnership on 2010:
1. Open Exchange Management Console
2. Go to Recepient configuration
3. Right click on user and choose "Manage Mobile Phone"
4. At this stage my username had 3 different phones which Exchange identifies according to User Agent. the Desire Z was named HTC Vision.
5. We removed all the phones by choosing "Remove Mobile Phone Partnership" and choosing finish. you have to repeat this step for all phones because the dialog box actually closes without letting you delete all partnerships.
I'm not a big Exchange expert, but if you have a version prior to 2010 running on your Exchange server you might need to use "Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool":
- I can't post links..."
Anyway doesn't matter which version or tool you are using, removing the partnership is the golden solution.
No problems with syncing after that is done. many thanks to tscalzott from the HTC forums.
Oh cr*p... again this worked for a couple of days and stopped working.
I'm attacking this problem both with HTC email support and phone support.
Email support, after a few useless tips (factory reset etc') sent me the following:
"With regards to your inquiry,
Kindly note that this issue is escalated to a higher level to be investigated and we will be replying to you shortly the moment we get the update."
I have a feeling that I will not hear from them in the upcoming weeks or ever.
With phone support, they actually told me that I need to download the certificate from the OWA site and install it on the phone. they said they will send me instructions via email on the installation part because the support personnel probably had no idea how to do that. I also tried without any luck - I could find some tips on how to install WPA certificates but not the CET certificate that you can download from Exchange OWA.
After first call - didn't receive any email.
Called again asking for them to resend the email - still didn't receive anything.
Just got off the phone from the third call - the support agent made some more checks and said that there was probably a mistake with the first agent I talked to - as there is no need to install a certificate on the phone in order to work with Exchange ActiveSync on the phone.
He did however said, much like the email I got, that this issue is being escalated internally and at some point in time, information about a solution will be posted online at the HTC site.
If any of the many people having this problems are seeing this thread, please go ahead and send your case at h t t p : / / w w w . h t c .com/uk/CS_Mail.aspx or any other country in hopes that they will understand that there's a serious issue going on as they receive more complaints. I tried telling him to try and escalate the fact that although many people are not calling in (simply given up or using touchdown application instead), the escalation point should definitely just google the problem and see how many users are suffering from it. I do however understand that HTC's policy might be to only handle issues that are being reported to them, and not issues that are discussed on the web as they have no control over those users' actions.
Now we wait hoping for the best...
Any progress on this? I have a HD2 with the Desire Z NAND build on it. Love it for everythinggggg except that my exchange account doesnt sync calendar :'(
I've been using Hotmail since 1999 and recently I downloaded Hotmail for android app. Everything was smooth until I tried to enter a new contact, where I found that I cannot do that. Partially I mean. I can only enter the name field and nothing else. I cannot edit the synced contacts too.
because HTML mail was not possible with the default mail app in android and exchange in Hotmail, I used to forward my mail to Gmail and use the Gmail app.
I was very joyed with this app release and now facing this bug.
I googled but couldn't find any solution or similar bug reports.
Am I the only unlucky person or others have this problem too. I'd there any fix for this.
I have already tried removing and re-adding, uninstall and reinstall.
I am using cm7 on my wildlife.
Thank you in advance.

You are not alone! Still looking for a solution myself.
Have you tried using another email client and signing in through it?
Same problem here. Hotmail worked great through Activesync on Android, but this app is much nice. But contacts edit is not working at all !! And not found any fixes thus far.
-sony xperia arc w/stock kernel
Still to fix
Sorry to say that I am having the same issue. Have to been able to find a fix. Please let all know if anyone can figure this out.
Thanks.
Same problem here
I too have the same problem. I erased everything, tried with another gmail account, made sure to not sync anything with gmail, with no avail. This is a huge bug.
Response from Hotmail
So I contacted Hotmail about this issue. Here was there response:
"We aplogoize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please understand that the ability to edit contacts on Hotmail app for Android phones is currently not available. However, our product team was already aware of it and a fix is being considered.
Thanks,
Windows Live"
Hopefully this fix will be soon.
How silly to create an app without editing capability... i have switched back to exchange. works seamlessly.

No HTML mail with exchange on my Wildfire....
I'm looking for a solution to this one too. The Hotmail app is actually pretty good, but the inability to edit contacts is an odd bug.
Solution
I tried Contact Editor Free by dmfs in the Market. It lets you edit the hotmail contacts and sync them back up.
I've only tested it for about a minute, but it seems to work.
I gotta tell you.
I've done a research. Microsoft is aware of the issue since about November/December 2011. SEVEN (the actual manufacturer) confirms it and reports work in progress (in February/March?), an update to the app has been issues by the end of February but the issue has not been addressed and has not yet been resolved.
I used Microsoft's support forums to ask the question, how to sync the contacts then, if nothing works as intended.
One of forum's moderators confirmed the issue, another asked how did I exactly try to sync.
If you would be kind enough to visit the question page yourselves and click "I have that question too", I'd be thankful. Maybe they'd actually do something instead of constantly apologizing and confirming either the issue or the progress of the works...
I tried Contact Editor Free by dmfs in the Market like Joe USer and works ok

use Contact Editor free by Marten Gajda.
worked for me.
Don't know why I never noticed this before when I was using my Galaxy S2 but it hit me today on my Nexus 4. I was trying to find out why Bluetooth handsfree calling through my Garmin wasn't working and it is because the Garmin has all my contacts showing last name first even though they aren't presented that way on the phone. When I tried to view the contact directly through the Contacts app, I saw that it was showing last name first and I couldn't edit the contact to try and fix it.
We are what, over a year since this was first recorded here and still no fix other than a third party app? This wasn't an issue on my BlackBerry.
On top of that, it makes handsfree unusable since there seems to be no way to get the contacts to list with the first name first. The contacts are all fine on Outlook.com so something is getting messed up with how they are presented in Android.
I'm having a rather odd problem, whenever my friend and I are replying back and forth over email,
the bottom of the email keeps turning into a complete gibberish slab of what seems to be Chinese/Japanese.
The last reply shows fine, but the ones before it are garbled.
I'm running ICS on an asus transformer prime, not rooted and using stock email app.
I have one hotmail account (used to correspond with my friend) and one gmail account on it.
Id gladly supply more info if requested.
Anyone have any clue as to what on earth is going on?
- Sven
Are you using the "stock email app" which means the "Email" app (as opposed to the Gmail app)?
Yessum, the standard email app, not the gmail one.
Ive done some tests to try and replicate the problem, to no avail.
Ive emailed myself from one account to another and replied back and forth about 10 times,
but I can not get it to "chinesify" the older replies lower down the email.
So im not sure exactly where this weird corrupted crud is coming from.
My friend describes it as "there are a buncha blocks at the bottom",
I assume its the same Chinese im seeing except he is missing the font for it.
If theres another good email app (with widget/alerting!) that would solve this,
id gladly give it a spin since in my opinion the standard one isn't all that amazing.
People mention K-9 but that seems to be very phone oriented, not at all for tablets.
I had been using the stock SW2 Gmail extension as my mail email "go-to" app when I first got my SW2 when I was still running a custom 4.1.2 ROM (BoneStock 3.4) on my rooted GS3. It was a sorta convoluted process, since I had my Comcast email go to my Gmail account, and then I was able to ead all emails via the Gmail extension. After a while I changed the ROM on my GS3 to a TW4.3 ROM (MOAR 7.1), in part to work better with WatchIt (I was having difficulties getting WatchIt to work with my 4.1.2 ROM).
The good news was WatchiIt was working fine with 4.3, but the ad new was the SW2 was now no longer able to work with the Gmail extension. I would try to use the Gmail extension (install Gmail extension, add my Gmail account to my phone as directed, go to my watch and press Gmail icon, I get an error message that says: "Unfortunately Gmail - Smart Extras tm has stopped. You can report it (which I did, it sends a message to Google) or you can clicjk OK." After you click OK, the same error message reappears. I then uninstalled the extension.
So to make it read emails, I installed K9 on my phone, and then had K9 read my Gmail email. Then have the K9 extension read the emails on my watch. What was a convoluted route became even more convoluted: Comcast, to Gmail, to K9, to the K9 extension. All because (1) Sony is trying to get SW2 watch customers to buy Sony phones by having the stock email extension on SW2 only work with Sony phones (and thus, eliminate the most direct way of reading email on the SW2) and (2) the Gmail extension doesn't work with 4.3 (at least my 4.3 phone).
So I posted the question on the Sony consumer customer support community age. A few community members offered up suggestions (uninstall/reinstall extension, go to SUS to make sure I am on latest firmware/SW, etc) all without any improvement.
I then emailed Sony support. And after a request for me to resend them an email describing the prolem, I received this answer:
hank you for contacting Sony Xperia Support.
Unfortunately, there are still some problems regarding Android 4.3. Our technical department is already working on this issue to make sure that all problems can be fixed really fast. Until then, we just hope that you are a little bit more patient on this case.
Please contact Sony Xperia Support again if we can assist you further. Feel free to visit our website: On www.sonymobile.com you will always get the latest news and interesting content.

So, at least they respond and answer emails. Hopefully they are also working on resolving 4.3 issues. But anyone having a problem related to 4.3, hope this helps.
4.2.2 and mee too have unfortunately gmail extras has stopped... " but after the Gmail App is working. So for me is only an irritating popup

I've never had that much trouble the GMail extension of stock 4.4.2 on my N5. It can be a little finicky at times, but the vast majority of the time it works great. Only glaring issue I had with it was last week when Google through a fit for those couple hours. Other than that, it was working fine.
It's interesting to see Sony's response though, they're Sony and should have no problems dealing with Android 4.3, let alone 4.4. It's a shame that it seems some of Sony's sleeping successes such as this are going unnoticed by the company and resources.
Awesome news... i just changed my custom 4.3 ROM from MOAR 7.1 to CleanROM 8.0 (a new TW-based 4.3 ROM), and on this one the Gmail extension works. So now I can simply go from my Comcast email account to Gmail, and read the mail using the stock Gmail extension. Works so much better, as emails are separated and the extension interface is a lot cleaner.
The other extensions I typically use all seem t work with this 4.3 ROM (haven't had a sports or score notification yet). But facebook and twitter extensions work, as does the photo viewer.
Hey fellows,
I don't know whether I should be here or not?
I don't know whether I belong to this community or not?
I have come here as a last resort.
But I would be glad and grateful if you guys could help me with my problem.
My android device: Coolpad Dazen1
History of my Problem: I bought the device on Snapdeal. I already have one Samsung Galaxy S4. So I was quite acquainted with the Android OS. I started the device properly and registered a gmail account. Connected to the wifi. And could browse the internet.
However I could not sign-in to the Google playstore. It keeps saying
"Check your connection and try again. Retry" And if I press the Retry option it keeps on saying the same thing.
Other associated problems: Though I can browse the internet, I can't login to any email accounts. I can't use any Google services. However, I can logon to my gmail accounts & Google playstore on my laptop.
The remedial measures I took:
I cleared the Google playstore cache
I deleted the Host file
I reset the phone
Tried different email accounts new & old
I installed another browser, firefox, and tried to signin to the Google Playstore but with no use
I contacted the Google Services and discussed the problem with the technical expert. The person said, even after all these measures, if the problem persists, then it is not the problem with the Google Services. The problem is there in the device, so contact the device services.
When I contacted the Device services. The person said; since the device is connecting properly to the internet, the problem is not in the device or the OS. The problem is with the Google services.
I have come here with the hope that you knowledgeable persons could help me out of this situation.
I would appreciate and be grateful for any help extended.
Thank you
Anil
