Probably me being daft but can anyone help me with printing directly from phone to printer with the A9? I've got the canon print service installed but there is no option to print that I can see?
All my other devices work fine, ipads, iphones even LG G4, but I cant find an option anywhere on this? mostly for emails and pictures really
Make sure you enable the Canon Print Service after you installed it (it doesn't automatically enable). You can go to Settings -> Printing and check to see if Canon Print Service is there and is On.
Sorry I should have said that I had done that already, but there isnt any option that I can see to select print anywhere?
Nobody know? I've just tried my LG G4 (also on MM) and its there, top right corner with the three dots, click that and then select print but on the htc no print option, bizzare.....

Just bought a second hand XDA2 and the guy threw in a folding keyboard.
(It looks the same as the one at the bottom of the "connectors"section page. The driver has installed fine and the XDA beeps when connected.
When I select the keyboard activation screen the "infrared & serial" is checked but when I try to select the keyboard option it appears to try but then beeps and defaults to infrared/serial.
I can see some kind of input connection on the left hand side but as it came with no cables or manuals I'm clueless.
I visited their site http://www.darfon.com/ but could only find the drivers which came with the keyboard when I got it.
Help Please before it goes out the bedroom window.
Is this someting to do with having the "receive all incoming beams" ticked in the Connections area ?
I think I read someting about this being necessary.
Mind you I could be wrong, I think I was once in the distant past, tho I might have just been mistaken, and there again, this post might even be a mistake ... who knows ??
Good Luck anyway
All boxes appear to be ticked correctly.
Could do with the manual
Cheers Anyway
I am new to tablots and android and have about 300 questions but wil limit it to the important ones.
I have seen references to different models like 60,70,80 but have no idea where a person would find what model you have. I have looked at the sticker on the back with the serial number and in the setup and about but don't see anything that would indicate what the model is aside from a TF-101
The firmware I have is 8.6.5.13-.. and would like to upgrade it as I see on the ASUS download page there is a 8.6.5.21 which is supposed to fix some bugs but when I got to setup and check for updates I am advised there are no updates for my device.
I also read that you can connect a mouse to the USB port however when I connect a wireless USB mouse receiver the light on the receiver does not come on and the mouse does not function. I have done a search but cannot find any solutions, so would appreciate knowing what is required so the USB functions with a mouse.
I have downloaded our local newspaper a half dozen times today which is in PDF format, and while reading it in office it simply disappears for no reason, which has become a real frustration. Is there another app to read pdf files, am I doing something wrong in office, or is this a bug with office? I know if gave two choices when opening the file, one was office and I don't recall the other one. I tried the other one however it only displays one page at a time and you can't simply scroll to the next page you have to select a dot at the bottom representing the page you want to go to which is a little tough with the size of my fingers.
When I opened it this morning it showed 4 e-mal messages on the home page so selected e-mail and when it opened the e-mails all instantly disappeared and have no idea why or where they went. They were not in the trash folder so have no idea what happened to them.
I know part of my problem is no being familiar with Android but given my computer background expected to pick it up a little better that what I have so far so am unsure if it is something I am doing or not doing or just bugs in the Transformer. I have used an IPad in the past with little or no problems so am finding this experience a little frustrating.
Thank you
On the bottom of the tablet its self there should be a sticker (unless you took it off) and it will start with B then it will have two characters after it such as 70 or 90 does not matter much now as you probably have a new model. The only thing that depends on the number is NVFlash so it is not a big deal.
It tells you how to install the new firmware on the asus site. I believe you put the file you download there in your /asus folder
Should work on the newer firmware if not it is unsuported as it probably need periferal drivers
The paper will be in your /downloads folder. Open my files then open it from there. I suggest the pre installed MyLybrary
Shouldn't do that on newer fermware
Normally USB peripherals should work fine, maybe the update you want to do will solve the problem.
For the emails something came to mind: is it possible that they were old emails that the tablet picked up while dormant and before you used the pad you went on a computer/cell phone and deleted them? So when you used the tablet the emails disappeared when the app pinged the mail server. This happens to me all the time since I have a ****ty internet connection maybe I notice it more as there is a 30sec to 1 minute delay to mail updates
Hope this helps!
I think the .13 firmware had a USB bug that if you reboot it with the mouse plugged in it will work.
Check the ASUS Support site for the .21 firmware. Download, unzip to a microSD card. Insert and it should find the update.
Check out ezPDF or Aldiko for a PDF reader. Much better than Polaris.

See your tablet's serial number. When anyone talks about B40, B50 or so on all of them talking about first 3 numbers of the serial number...
You should have been able to update and get OTA from ASUS itself... Try updating from tablet itself... You should be able to update if you look under "about tablet" under setting.....
My Vodafone Smart 4 Mini display went after a couple of weeks,.
I want to set this up the display on the PC that was developed by k.janku1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
I need to set up USB debugging, I was able to get to settings, by touching the display then taking a screenshot, and approximating where on the phone I need to touch.
I have navigated to the settings and can not find Development where its supposed to be
The manual shows it should be under Accessibility but it is not there or anywhere else on the settings page. Can someone help me?
Screenshot attached. (not sure how to insert images)
This phone was bought in South Africa

So you fell into the grp trap, well, I have figured out a working way to bypass grp on an alcatel fierce xl 5054n. Go to the wifi page, make sure you are connected to internet, select a secured hotspot and type in anything as a password, then highlight the password. Then swype from swype symbol to s, it will open a browser, clear everything then type access settings, enter, bang then you should be in the phones settings, select add account, select imap account, outlook.com is a good one to use, so make one of those first. Back out from there and select factory reset, now after reset you can add a google account of your choice.
Just curious
Does this still work? Or do you know any new ways

Mine does not have Swype feature. Tried every key
Help
My key board doesn't have the swipe either. I done everything I can to change the keyboard please someone help me
Finally,a thread that shows that I'm not going as crazy as I thought I was
I have the same problem with the FRP for the 5044r. I knew nothing about the phone since I have an S6 S7 and S8 plus and buying a Google pixel xl 2 today. Allmy phones are bought for the purpose of a development hobby and I try to get deals. there's a local pawn shop where i the Alcatel I paid 40 bucks not knowing anything about a phone. But I can't get by the frp. I watched five different YouTube videos with the swipe trick and I was wondering why I couldn't do it I didn't realize that on a keyboard I can't change. So small, replies are very helpful. thanks to this thread
I looked at forums on rooting the 5044r. That looks like a full military project. I'm sure someone's going to run into a simple tool that can do it off the PC in a months. And what's even more frustrating is what work last week does not necessarily word this week because of the security patch. And as much as those boxes with dongles seem to be a great technology you're better off buying it waiting for shipping than getting a cracked version it's less consuming and time. Let's keep looking for a good ideas boys it took me about three days to figure out the name so f so far I'm at Alcatel A3 series IdealXCITE (5044R). So often looking for answers to problems is getting the name of the phone correctly so the search engine can find it. I have an S8 plus which is a Snapdragon Qualcomm chip and it took me two months to find out that the "F" Exynos variant version was a no-no for any type of mods except the US and where I live which is Canada.
This works, no keyboard tricks, kind of PITA but who cares. I am too new to post links but go to youtube and use this after .com/ watch?v=iFpT66ML-uE
ps your welcome

I'm in a similar position to jthibault27, I managed to get into my Alcatel Verso 5044c through the TalkBack>Help>YouTube>Privacy exploit (which now appears closed) but adding an outlook and resetting just set my GRP/FRP to permanent "Try again in 24 hours".
got into my settings finally and factory reset my alcatel one touch phone but after rebooting it still asks for the previous google account. Also tried opening the developer options by going into phone settings and tapping the build number 6 times but unfortunately that option isnt working for me either. If anyone can help please reply. I also tried adding a imap account but it says it cant validate my server settings. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME IF POSSIBLE!!!

Hey thanks a bunch for taking the time to post the steps as such. Totally appreciate the info. Just revived a 5044G paperweight thanks to you. :good:
My phone has a broken screen (and probably a broken touch sensor) and I need to unlock it (pattern lock) to get the data off of it. It is a Galaxy A70 running Android 11 and the latest OneUI. Both the Samsung Find my Mobile web app and the Android/Google Find my Device site aren't able to see that it is connected to the internet. My Google WiFi router clearly shows it being connected however. Although sometimes the Samsung Find my Mobile site sometimes reads "online", it fails to unlock/back up the device. I have tried connected with ADB to unlock the device, no luck. The Kies and Smart Switch utility are no help either. I am also unable to use Window's Phone Companion app to display the screen or view any data whatsoever.
I have thought about using a keyboard/mouse to unlock it but without screen output I have no chance. I have looked into replacing the screen, which I am fully capable of, but I don't want to spend 60+ dollars on a new panel just to get the data if I can find another way. I don't even plan on using the device after I repair it, I have another one on the way. I couldn't even find a well rated listing for one on the web anyways.
To make matters worse, none of my data was set to back up to the cloud, although I was pretty sure I had set it to. When I go to view my cloud gallery on Samsung's website, it insists that I allow the action from my unusable phone. Or I delete the phone from my account to access it. I can't do either from my position.
I would really like an out of the box solution. I have thought about using a mouse to input the pattern lock by practicing on another A70 available to me and repeating the action the the broken device. I will take any measures possible to avoid an unnecessary cost.
I really appreciate any help whatsoever! Thanks!
