[Q] Downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 on T-Mobile (SM-N915T) possible? Maybe even 4.4.4 - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone else downgraded from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 or 4.4.4 on the T-Mobile variant? I have done some searching and I have seen that some people feel it may brick the phone. I have seen some go from 5.0.1 to 4.4.4, but not from 5.1.1. When I received my Edge it was already on 5.1.1 but the battery life is pretty awful and I am hoping for better results on 5.0.1.
I have already tripped KNOX and am running RiverRom if it matters.

Somebody posted an 'unlocked' 4.4.4 bootloader here recently and with that you should be able to downgrade to kitkat as poster claims. Take it from there.
Respect!

Sorry to ask a question instead of answering yours but I thought custom 5.1.1 ROMs were supposed to be better for battery life? I assume Riverrom is a custom 5.1.1 ROM. Aren't those supposed to be better?

Hyperdrive is now out based on COK2. I don't think it's possible to downgrade, but if you figure it out, let me know.

Downgrade will also help to use the Gear2
With the lolipop 5.1.1, second version, I can not use the Gearmanager to manange apps

5.0.2 kernels? Stay or switch to 5.1.1

I'm still running 5.0.2 on 920t and noticed... There's only 2 kernels left I can download/try.
All the 5.0.2 kernel threads have been switched to 5.1.1 and dont include older download links (at least from what I can see).
I wanted to try Unikernel as I read that the battery was great but can't find a download.
Can anyone share some 5.0.2 kernels? I currently have vindicator r3 (but doesn't offer much tweaking ability or governors).
My next question, should I bother going to 5.1.1?
Best to go 5.1.1

5.1.1 is out

just got the update to 5.1.1, came factory installed 0F1 so i could never root, will the methods already out for 5.1.1 root work for the verizon variants?
Already a thread about this. Thank you though.
To actually answer your question...unfortunately there's not a way to root our 5.1.1 update yet. Hopefully soon!

Downgrade to 5.0.2

I have Galaxy 6s (920F) with android 5.1.1, i want to downgrade to 5.0.2, i can't find this firmware in google, somebody can send me a link please
You cant after flashing stock 5.1.1
I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but why would you downgrade? Also, 6.0.1. is here, did you try it? I find it works more fluent than 5.1.1.
Because i can't move my apps to system/app, so i wanted try it in android 5.0.2
about android 6.0, in Israel the update doesn't work yet, still waiting, thanks anyone

SM-S906L S6 Tracfone variant............can anything beyond 5.02 be flashed ?

There seems to be no compatible Odin-flashable firmwares or custom roms beyond 5.02 Lollipop for this SM-S906L Tracphone variant or at least talked about.
Someone mentioned the stock SM-G920R6 TAR,MD5 MARSHMALLOW can be flashed with some tweaking but no confirmation at all.
Does anyone know what exactly can be flashed on this thing beyond 5.02 with confirmation?
did u every find it

US GS7-s have locked bootloaders, which means we're unable to downgrade until bootloader keys are leaked or T-Mobile unlocks it for us, which probably will never happen.

I just downloaded the 6.0.1 image for g930T and flash it with ODIN and that's it, I'm on 6.0.1 again :d
Ya I have downgraded from 7.0 to 6.0.1 several times already with no problems. My issue is that Nougat rooted is very laggy so I been trying all sort of fixes like govtuner etc but it is still laggy
anyway, here is attached screenshot of how I downgrade quickly and easily on sm-g930t

I'm running on stock nougat and the phone is speedy, gets ok battery life and I'm really not missing root because I've found ways to make it do what I want. The only thing I miss is TB.
