Hi, i have a problem with my smartwatch 2. I just got it today and went threw the pairing process and what not but, when i want to go to the homescreen on the watch this happens i press the power button,press the home button, screen go's blank then goes back to the clock screen. Anyone experience this problem? ifso, i would i fix it? I tried re installing the software and unpairng etc and nothing works.

Crap, I have exactly the same issue, did you get it resolved?
Try to reset the watch. Cut the BT on the phone so it doesn't start pairing, go into the tools on the watch and chose reset.
Put the watch off and now delete pairing on the phone and reboot it to be sure the watch is no longer paired.
Now start the pairing process all over.

Thanks, already tried that too. Update was successful, reconnected etc. then still the same problem. Got Sony on chat, after trying a load of things they told me to return it...

Mine too. Suddenly decided after a week to continually disconnect from phone. Get a message saying 'unfortunately smartwatch 2 had stopped working'. Tried every reset. Annoyingly it works fine on my wife's galaxy s4. Really hope it's not the z1 that's knackered! Returning on Monday.

If it works fine with your wife's s4 than its not the problem with the watch.
Its the problem on your phone with smartwatch 2 app.
Try to delete data and reinstall app on phone, delete pairing and reset watch and start again.
Bad watch is the one that doesnt work on any phone...

Yeah, hopefully mine will be picked up today, but I'm told it may be up to 14 days for replacement. And they kept talking about repair when talking on the phone when it was DOA, hopefully they took on board that it just needs replaced...
I have exactly the same issue. I have tried multiple phones, but no dice..... cant reset it from tools as cant get past the clock screen. Going to try to update the fw and see what happens

Good luck. I'm still waiting for the replacement...
So the way i used to use my moto 360 before 5.0 on my watch and phone is i would have my phone completely silent with just the notification light and my watch giving notifications through vibrate. Now that ive updated i cant seem to get that combo back. Does anyone know how to do this?
I'm still using this notification combo, after updating my moto360 to 5.0. I haven't seen any changes. Silly question, but your m360 isn't muted is it?

yeah things change in the way of notifications when you update to lollipop on the phone
Yeah I have Lolllpop on both my phone and watch (Nexus 6 and Moto 360) and it looks like you can't mute the phone completely but still have the watch vibrate as normal. Absolutely pathetic on Google's part, they have completed complicated what was a perfectly simple, flexible, and easily usable system while actually *removing* functionality. I almost feel like I'm missing something obvious here because I can't fathom Google screwing this up so bad.
Can someone show me the light here because I really want to be proven wrong?
You can use Wear Mini Launcher quick settings to mute your phone completely.

Are you sure about that? I've tried using the Wear Mini Launcher to do this but it only cycles the phone through all sounds, vibration, and priority. Only priority will actually mute the phone, but of course that mutes the watch too.
To clarify, we are talking about both a phone and watch that are both running Lollipop.

How exactly do you have the launcher set up to do this? Like specifically which things in the launcher settings do you have yours set to?
Just click the toggle button until the phone is muted.
Nothing to set.

Not sure what happened but I think the phone is muted now. Went back and checked the above settings and re-did them which may have done it, although I don't think any settings were set incorrectly before.
Thanks though!! This is still way more complicated than it should be and used to be but at least it looks like it's still possible.

I updated from Kitkat yesterday to Lollipop and I'm having a few issues.
Any Google based application won't load. It'll sometimes show the little loading circle, but won't actually do anything. Or it'll just show a white screen.
(I have tried clearing the data and cache and uninstalled the updates for the Play Store to no avail).
Some stock applications won't update, (Notebook, Video Editor, Voice mate, Etc) They'll look like they're downloading their respective updates, but no progress will actually happen.
I waited around 10 or so minutes before giving up.
I'm not really sure what the issues are being caused by, and I haven't been to lucky in finding any fixes or even people with the same problems as me.
If someone can help me out, that would be great. Factory reset is my last resort.
I am on stock LG G2. D800.

I had similar issues, I just rebooted a few times and that seemed to fix it.
I would say if it doesn't work after rebooting, you may need to FR.
Mine was having trouble updating(was getting errors) so I ended up going back to stock 4.4, updating to 20Y, factory resetting, then updating to 30, and I had that issue with the play store, but rebooting after that fixed it for me.

Thanks for your reply.
I sideloaded the Play Store and Play Services and just rebooted my phone, and the Play store is working somewhat. App updates don't seem to want to update.
I then downgraded from the sideloaded Playstore and Play Services, and the Playstore is still working, but it doesn't want to download the updated version of the Playstore, even though I get the notice of a new version being available. So now I'm not sure if I should wait for something to happen, or what.

i would advice u downgrade back to the kitkat 20c using the tot method, upgrade to 20y and upgrade to 30f which is the lollipop version. My phone was kinda laggy right after the lollipop update but everything smoothened out after running for about 1 hr
anybody's dl/ul speeds suffering on wifi and mobile? i didnt factory reset so maybe ill try that if no one has any problems after factory

I've read on other forums where users were having LED issues with non-native app notifications ...but my LED is not functioning at all since the update. If anyone has a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated.
Any root methods for Lollipop stock ?

I do know that the behavior of the notification led has changed. On Kitkat the led would blink about 1 per sec. With Lollipop it will blink twice then a 10 sec pause then 2 quick blinks, then 10 sec pause, etc. Also the notification led will only work with screen off or on lock screen. I hope this helps.
Edit: I did notice the pattern changes with
the app.

Are you on Lollipop? I even did a factory reset, but the problem still there. I do have root on my phone though. Don't know if that causes the problem.

Has anyone else experienced issues using a chromecast with their honor 8?
It used to consistently work flawlessly with my Galaxy S5, but since I've switched casting has been very buggy.
Finding the chromecast is usualy the first issue, half the time when I go to cast no devices show up.
Mostly frustrating is after something is casting I lose volume control when I am outside that specific all. Before I could toggle the volume on my TV from any screen and it showed the slider along with the phone media and ringer volume. It also seems to disconnect from the chromecast quite a bit as well. Sometimes ending the cast, but usually I'll have to close the app and reconnect in order to be able to control it again.
I've tried factory resetting my chromecast and never used guest mode, not sure what's causing the problems.
Anyone know of any possible solutions?
I have been having the same issues.

I can't even get BBC iPlayer to cast so there is definitely some thing wrong.
Now TV just released an update that was ment to deal with the casting bug but still no casting !!

Guys.
I have just reset my phone to factory settings and I'm able to cast again !!
Not sure what happened to stop the castings but a factory reset sorted it

Yes mate it must be.
My phone is like a new phone today after resetting it.
All the bits that were not working are working again.
I'll try this week-end.
It's so long to reinstall and login in every app...

I made a back up before resetting, put it into my SD card.
From resetting to having everything back on took me about 30 mins it was easy and well worth the effort

you were totally right
everything is back to normal after a factory reset
and it didn't took too much time.
backed up apps with the honor software and it wasn't that long. just the apps not the settings to be sure to not recreate the problem if it was caused by another app.

Does your volume control work as it should now?
I'm still having issues controlling volume from outside the app that is casting after a factory reset.
First of all sorry for my bad english, hope you understand, i was playing music in my room using Honor8 device, while it was heavy rain with thunder lighting outside, and suddenly i hve noticed my H8 totally stopped playing music but the song still running on, top speaker works good but main loud speaker doesn't work i dont know what happen to this device any help would be appreciate, L09b380.
