[Q] ShevTs TF101g builds - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
can anybody upload one of the latest ShevT builds for the TF101g (CM 10.2 20140124 or Katkiss 4.3.1 #29), maybe both ? I've deleted the files from my HDD and all mirrors are off.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, do those roms work in 3g version?

yep, you can use your simcard wih the integrated 3g module without any app like ppp widget. But its only android 4.3

Then will wait for anyone to upload them and put a link

I wrote a pm to ShevT and he posted me this link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=48619. They are not the ones I want, but I will try them anyway.

I'd tried the katkiss 4.4.2 3g #19. 3g works, but have problems with permissions at storage/emulate/0. I'm comming from katkiss 4.4.4 #36 and everything is fine! Tried fix permissions in twrp 2.8.1.1. Didn't work! Installed katkiss # 36 again and all works! Anybody else know what I can do to fix permissions ?

It dosent work with google play services 4.2.35 and above. It works fine on ver 4.0.33 and 4.1.xx. Same thing on tf201 and tf300. I dont know about other devices, but nobody reports this kind of problem. Problem is with cm11 source obviously.

Thanks your reply.
Both tf201 & tf300 are tegra 3? As I know Nexus 7(2012) is tegra 3 platform , for kitkat not only Google but CM also support it.
By the way , can you help to post this issue in "Iconia A700 Android Development" ? I have no right to do.
In fact , even I upgraded to cm-11-20140520-NIGHTLY-a700.zip , the location function doesn't work currently.

HUAWEI HONOR-U8860-legacyhuawei-[ROMS+KERNEL]-LOLLIPOPS FLAVOURS

Hi all!
Time has come for Lollipops flavours for our old, but still alive device: Huawei Honor -u8860.
Thanks to @Blefish, we have now a new device tree and kernel 3.4
it tooked a lot of work and time to that talented dev to get us a rebirth of our device, named: LegacyHuawei.
How to install Lollipop rom on u8860: all needed files (recovery, blepart1.1 (lvm script) , gapps and cm12 rom ---> http://sourceforge.net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/Installation/
Installation instructions located in Wiki. Don't forget to read it as you need to install latest TWRP before installing this ROM.
If you decide to uninstall this ROM (install cm11 or others without LVM support), keep in mind that if you installed LVM setup, you need to uninstall it or your phone will end up in a bootloop. If you have any issues please Provide logcat: http://sourceforge.net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/Submitting logs/

If you are set with cm12, then, you will be good to go with all the others Lollipop flavours ( roms ) i can propose.
All the roms i will provide have device tree source here: https://github.com/Blefish?tab=repositories
and the kernel source i use is here: https://github.com/desteam/android_kernel_huawei_msm7x30
which difference between Blefish kernel and mine? : i updated Blefish kernel which is 3.4.0 to 3.4.106.
there is a Q&A thread to keep the thread clean and also for new user who are not allowed to post

Right, there is no small update file, but there is a fresh U8860-ROM from 02-15-2015. Maybe that helps...
If you need U8800pro feedback send me a pm. I'll test asap.

I've just tested USB-Host mode on U8860, and it really works!!! Official Huawei specifications says that our chip does not support USB-Host, but IT DOES!!! Wow!!!
Tested mouse and keyboard... Mouse lags a little bit because our device is slow sometimes...
And also flash drives, even NTFS-formatted flash drives work...
The constraint seems to be that USB port can only output 200mA, and charging is impossible in USB host mode, so you should not forget to disable Host mode after using it... The option is in the special HuaweiSettings app...
I'm using cm-12-20150215-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyHuawei-u8860
Liquid Smooth on op
compiled with linaro 4.10 experimental and O3 optimisation.
please give feed back
edit: TWRP Touscreen problem: @Blefish is working on that problem.

Hello again - I found you!
When testing blefish's builds of CM12 for our device, I had continous wifi errors, which made the ROM unuseable for me.
So I gave your BlissPop a try. Thankfully, I did!
The wifi issues seem to be gone, I still have problems with sensors in my device, but they don't disturb me that much...
Looking foreward to flash new builds.

[Q] Here Maps not working on either available ROM (now with bug report)

Hi guys, this is my first post.
I had a Xoom MZ601 EVEREST with stock 4.0.4 and wanted to update it in order to be able to use Nokia Here Maps (android 4.1+ required). I have tried the EOS stable 3.0, Cyanogenmod 10 stable and 10.1 nightly, using always the proper Gapps pack and following the instructions.
I got everything working well but I cannot even open the here maps app, as soon as I open it it closes immediately, this happens with 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Best I could achieve is a black screen on CM 10.1 4.2.2.
Any thoughts on where could be the problem?
FYI I tried the last version and two old betas, same results.
Thanks!
I am attaching the debug logs:
here.app.maps-debug.txt (events when trying to open here maps)
before_opening-debug.txt (event before opening here maps, the app it is mentioned in some lines).

Sony Xperia L,Cannot use WIFI [cm-12.1-20151103-NIGHTLY-taoshan]

hi all.
before the issue, i wanna thank for your answers.
I've an Xperia L and i've installed CM 12.1 since about 3 days; but unfortunately found that i can't use WIFI.
I searched and found some reasons pointing that the error might be for my country's region and Google (US) restriction, i'm living in IR Iran.
is there any other ways to fix this hell bug?? All i need from my device is WIFI...& i'm not gonna change the ROM again.

Hey, I'm not sure what your exact issue is but I will present you some possible solutions.
1. Was your wifi broken since you flashed CM12.1? If yes:
What stock version did you have before CM? If it wasn't 15.3.A.1.17 (or if you don't know), flash FTF of this version. Then flash CM12.1 again by flashing the kernel img and then the zip file.
2. Sometimes, the wifi just doesn't work because the wpa_suplicant.conf is broken. This file stores all the wifi passwords. Open the file manager and go to /data/misc/wifi and delete the file. You will lose your passwords, but your wifi will work! If you forgot your passwords, copy the file to another directory before deleting it.
I hope this can help you, please tell me if it did!

hi there and thanks for the answer,
well my case was absolutly the number 1.
i lost my WIFI just after flashing into CM12.1
bafore that i had the original update of 4.1.2 jelly bean android version.
i also had flashed the deice after installing cm 12 into the jelly bean using this tft file: C2105_15.0.A.2.17_Customized-CE.ftf
it was the original OS from factory on my device, the WIFI worked correctly and i could use that & tethering & hotSpot
but when i flashed again into cm 12.1 i lost the WIFI & hotSpot again :|
note:i flashed the device using thunderzup kernel. could it be the cause of problem?
i'm still using the cm 12.1 & it's good.but the wifi problem.
i've the following bugs:
-WIFI can't be turned on in anyways
-the notification light doesn't work correctly sometimes
-the LED light can't be switched off from the notification bar once i switch it on,from that area.

As i know the ThunderZap kernel for Xperia L should get your WiFi work..
Try Zapdos kernel/stock kernel for xperia l.
i'm on Stryflex lollipop 5.1.1 Rom (CM 12.1 based). i don't have a wifi problem.
Use Light Flow Lite - LED Control from play store for customize LED notification.

Is this the end for the Xoom? (Old cm11 for everest link in the thread)

No matter what rom I install and which gaaps version the tablet enters in a loop of errors telling me that gapps has stopped, services framework has stopped, google play has stopped and I can't get anything done with it.
In the xoom development section there are no ROMS left as they all dissapeared.
Should I just install the official ROM and retire the tablet?
Today is a very sad day.
You can check the CM11 rom for Wingray I compiled using old Schischu's source code.

Manuellama I still have a version of cm11 fo everest. I reinstalled that with your gaaps and it solved my issue.
I also have a version on omni and assefmod but those won't work with open gaaps.
I saw something about installing google play services 10.5.42 beta update (032 version) also fixing the issue but that was after I installed CM11 again and your gaaps.
Thanks.
Munecito, please upload the everest version that you have, because all the links with that rom are dead. It is the only solution until Manuellama will release his rom for everest. Thank you!
Yes, everest is a little difficult for me now.
I am compiling now AOSP 4.4.4. for wingray, let's see if I can get something of it.

@vlad_popescu47 here is the link to the version of cm11 for everest that I have. It needs big partition. Flash this and @Manuellama open gaaps and you will be back on business.
If there is any issue with me sharing this ROM please do let me know and I'll take the link down inmediately.

For me it is ok to share this rom.
