[q] a700 cm11(kitkat) location function not work

Before upgraded to CM11 , WIFI location function works fine in CM10.2.1 (cm-10.2.1-a700.zip).
After upgraded to CM11 , WIFI location never got work verified by google map..etc.
I already did all wipe to flash CM11 & 4.2.2 Gapps in recovery mode.
My installed software information are as below:
CM11 : cm-11-20140312-NIGHTLY-a700.zip to cm-11-20140317-NIGHTLY-a700.zip
Gapps: gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
recovery: recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.4-a700.img
unlock bootloader : ics-mr1-a055314
By the way , my location is in Taiwan & wifi is ok to access internet!!
Does anyone know how to fix it ??

It dosent work with google play services 4.2.35 and above. It works fine on ver 4.0.33 and 4.1.xx. Same thing on tf201 and tf300. I dont know about other devices, but nobody reports this kind of problem. Problem is with cm11 source obviously.

Both tf201 & tf300 are tegra 3? As I know Nexus 7(2012) is tegra 3 platform , for kitkat not only Google but CM also support it.
By the way , can you help to post this issue in "Iconia A700 Android Development" ? I have no right to do.
In fact , even I upgraded to cm-11-20140520-NIGHTLY-a700.zip , the location function doesn't work currently.

bootloop problem after flash the kernel

I have a problem, after I flashed ElementalX-N5 1.08.zip the device go into bootloop,
I solve it by re-flash the Rom file, but what is the problem, why my device didn't accept the ElementalX Kernel ?!
and what is the default kernel of this Flyme Rom, is It better than ElementalX Kernel in the Battery Saving ?!
I need to install kernel ElementalX to support The HDR google Camera Feature, bacause the Flyme Rom has a bad camera !

Curiosity
This is the only android based rom that works on my hardware bricked Nexus 5 (moisture maybe); Sailfish, B2G and Ubuntu Touch works too, but the stock rom and other android based roms screen locks as soon configuration starts (usually touching in "next" after selecting language). I sense that porting the FLymeOS's app settings/configuration could reach any other rom run or something... Any ideas?

Yes that is what I used, I download it from the this thread so shoud is for CM
And also I tried with the new version 1.12, I download it from ElementalX page, the link was under the CM section ! But same problem, my device go into bootloop !
I have other question please, I changed the dpi of play store to 480 by using the Xposed module, but still I can't get some of Apps when I use the search box of play store !
Shoud change the whole dpi of system & applications or need to change another google app to solve this problem ?!

Flyme OS not working on my Nexus 5
I flashed the 3.8.2R Flyme OS zip but when it boots, on the language selection screen, it gives me the error "The process com.android.system" has stopped working every time i press NEXT after selecting a language. Restarting didn't help, Clearing Cache/Dalvik didn't help either.
I tried this on the Stock kernel in case that helps someone in helping me!

Still doesn't work. Once i flash gapps, no matter when i flash them, the phone won't go past the Language selection screen...

If you choose the language before flashing gapps no longer asks you choose it again (the language selection screen does not appear)

Well that's weird.. Coz i swear it asks me to select the language once again after i flash the gapps.. And that's after already using the phone without gapps and setting everything up beforehand..

Problems with immersive mode on fullscreen games
Hi. I flashed Flyme OS a couple of days ago, and I have to say I am loving every single moment of this. Love the interface, love the speed and even the battery life is pretty impressive compared some other ROMS!
Although, I have been experiencing an extremely annoying bug with fullscreen games. I play COC on my phone on a daily basis and when I open the game, the onscreen buttons (Back, Home and Recent) buttons don't disappear like they are supposed to on android 4.4. They stay fixed and visible.
Now, I normally wouldn't mind this, if the full game interface is visible. The problem is that the onscreen buttons are fixed on top of the game, which means that part of the screen is hidden behind the buttons. It is really difficult. I tried a couple of stuff I found on google to fix it.
The only thing I found closest to a fix is to disable the whole onscreen buttons thingy by setting the value of "mu.hw.mainkeys" to "1" in "build.prop" file. Then I installed the "PIE CONTROL" app by "coolace" from the Playstore. It have been working really well for now. But, since it includes installing an external app, which takes up more memory to run I was hoping you guys could look into this and suggest a way to fix this. I like to keep my device clean without installing too much extra applications!
Other than this little problem, I find this as a very top notch ROM. Good work to the developers. Keep it coming
Hope to hear from you guys, and I look forward to newer versions of this ROM, especially one ported with the latest Lollipop release!

I had this problem at the beginning too. But, I downloaded the latest PA Gapps pack and installed it. Worked like a charm after that!

This is the PICO package, which means that it will only install the most basic gapps like playstore and play services that you absolutely need to run the system properly! You will have to download the other apps like Gmail and Hangouts from paystore.

Has anyone here succesfully install flyme on lollipop especially with multirom? I always get bootloader error.

Yes. I installed after lollipop update. Got that error in the first try too!
When flashing the lollipop update, you flashed the hhz12d bootloader. All you have to do is flash the hhz11k bootloader using fastboot. Worked for me after that.

I don't know what made it work but here is what I did
Installed lollipop5.1 gapps(the one for custom roms) from zedomax's highonandroid.com
Boot up and installed some apps
Reboot ,got a notification from WhatsApp
Hold down it and dragged it down
Reconnect to WiFi due to bug
Exited the toggle by swiping the whole thing 3/4 way up,then close the small tab
Quicksettings then worked normally for me:silly:
Brightness changer won't work so just use screen filter from play store
Can't wait for next build

Any new updates for this ROM? Apparently using CM 12.1 gave me headaches because of multitasking issues (opening facebook, messenger and spotify is like entering the gates of hell because the tablet will be really slow) so my daily driver is this ROM for my P6200
Cant post on the original thread because of newbie reasons.
- simcard not working because of baseband missing
- brightness solved using screen brightness app (disabling auto)
- Quick settings solved by installing GApps
- Same issues mentioned in the original thread.
I hope that you're heavily working on this ROM because this is the most stable ROM that i've installed on my P6200 as of this moment (and really fast too, even WITHOUT THE ZRAM)

Every thing is fine except the sim card could not be reconized.

I've installed the 4th August build of OmniROM 5.1 on my P6800 and it's working fairly well, seems much smoother than the 4.4.4 Carbon ROM I was running before.
Things that I've noticed not working:
GPS (after digging through some other threads about this I notice that gpsd isn't running, and if I try and launch it from a terminal I get an error about 'only position independent executables (PIE) are supported')
Bluetooth won't enable
Can turn torch on in the quick access area, but it won't turn off again

I just can´t flash it
I´m getting this message ... Need some help

Getting this error

Google maps gives weird graphics in the latest release (I did a clean install, mediapatch included). When zooming around the tiles end up triangular andere tear up the map

From setting, choose button action as per ur choice, by default recent panel is on ur left button which u used regularly to view menu...

Thanks @avi sir for this beautiful rom. Successfully flashed and booted. Initially experienced network and 3G problem but resolved after replacing the modem.img from stock backed up rom. After use of 4 days following minor bugs are noticed.
1. After patching with provided theme engine all themes can be downloaded and applied successfully. But, the same reverted to original theme automatically.
2. Battery backup is normal.
3. Weather application can not search the current location automatically. It always shows Nagpur. Need to search manually by putting name of city.
4. Incomming calls overlapping by the home screen.
5. Sound very low as compared to previous MIUI V6. I specially request you to please release the patch for sound and volume so that we can get a loud sound like previous MIUI V6.
7. Found UI slightly slow hence request to please release patch to make it fast.
Thanks again for such a bountiful rom.

I just added the stock rom "modem_1_3g_n.img" on this patch file. Now 3g network is working fine in my phone.

I see in this ROM has modem_1_3g_n.img file. Can any one upload me modem.img file which suites and work 3g in this ROM.
Do i need to replace it with image.img or modem_1_3g_n.img . Which name i need to keep?

In KK roms modem.img is named as modem_1_3g_n.img, so u should replace it with suitable one

OTA 5.5.15
Hi avi i downloaded OTA update 5.5.15 and successfully patche to 5.3.31. but only problem is when i open camera "Insert SD card before using camera" error, please suggest how tosolve.

google playstore not working
Hello... My google play store isn't working.... Its showing.... Check your connection and try again... But my internet speed is good...! How to fix it?

First I'd like to thank Dr. Avinash & all who has worked hard for porting the awesome MIUI roms. Perhaps its the coolest & speediest rom for Xolo q3000. Other roms look quiet flat & stereotype after using this one.
I'm using the previous build v5.2.25 beta1. I'm willing to flash the newer version since but has some questions regarding this rom. I'm fond of this rom & using it on daily basis with minor hiccups.
My existing version (v5.2.25) giving me problems like
(1) No network on lock screen
(2) Losing Network signal sometime (didnt flash the modem.img zip as I'm not confident enough)
(3) android.process.media crashing sometimes; dnt know if its for for memory swap (Flashed with the Memoryfix.zip from the new MIUI version)
(4) apk files cant be received via bluetooth.
Quaries regarding MIUI build 5. 4.41
(1) Does this version uses the same camera app like the previous build(5.2.25), since after flashing the camera image quality got much better. Some are complaining updated version camera not as good.
(2) In the previous version dialer screen use to disappear any fix in the new version?
(2) Is the homescreen & drop down menu as crisp as V.5.2.25?
(4) Is APK file transfer on BT possible?
(5) Would flashing modem.img solve the network as well as 3g problem??
Sir, my request to you is dnt close this project as new MIUI v6 v5.7.2 has been released. Going by the discussions & QA it's certain MIUI is the most wanted & loved rom. If all the bugs can be fixed it will be fantastic.

MIUI OTA update v5.4.1 returning error 7 status...
Installed the MIUI 5.3.1 rom as per method mentioned with philz cwm..then tried to flash OTA update 5.4.1 but its showing error 7 status...MIUI 5.3.1 without the OTA upadte is functioning weirdly like missing statusbar and icons. Earlier I was using MIUI v.5.2.25 on 4.23GB System partition...MiUI is awesome & hope to see newer MIUI rom on xolo q3000..

This version is stable. Only drawback is that the overall volume is very low compared to the previous version. Tried many hacks from the MiUI sites and from the engineer mode (*#*#13411#*#*) but somehow it is not working in this ROM. Is there any other way to increase ringtone , media, FM Radio on speaker volume???

The Dolby atmos can be patched to boost the sound via recovery. It is the only mod that is working with this ROM...

No in fact, as the video notes redirects to some html files in my hosting, which i can modify easily, no problem with that
And one of the reasons I made the video was my youtube subscribers... They don't like written tutorials, so I decided to make the video for that reason.
And also posting here, in case anyone finds it useful

Which version of Flashtool you used?
Try flashing with older Flashtool.

If you've flashed 4.4.4 from 5.1 you'll need to totally wipe the phone I.e. User data and cache same if going from 5.1 to 4.4.4

Well I been Using my M2 With Android 5.1.1 the last couple of days And i have decided to go back to KitKat.... Lollipop doesnt convinced me at all, on the good things i have To say about Lollipop are just the lockscreen, notifications,that the phone heat up less when playing demanding games which is really good, and that it has a better handling of Memory RAM of the device...
the downsides are that the Camera still takes blurry pictures...Less device memory, Sony Lollipop UI doesn't convinced me at all, Speaker Volume is too Low and when I say LOW i really mean it, vibration is too high and there's no way to change it, and my light bar doesn't work....
As you can see putting all those things in balance I think I prefer to go back to KitKat than to stay with lollipop... actually I was about to do it but I Found that flashtools doesn't show the kitKat ftf I downloaded from xperifirm.. I already moved it to the Flashtools Firmware folder and it doesn't show up when i press the Flash button on Flashtools, I Think it has something to do with that the KitKat ftf I downloaded from Xperifirm came as a Folder With a lot of Files inside the folder, whereas the ftf I used to flash to Lollipop came just as a single file,
so can sameone explain me how to fix this? what I have to do in order to flashtools shows the KitKat Ftf so i can flash it... thanks​
