Just got an lg optimus s and can't seem to find a way to root it, I tried z4root 1.0.3.0

Is there a way for me to at least read/edit lg apk files. the phone is not rooted. would there be any issues with decryption?
Ive like googled everywhere in my extensive view, Is there ANY LG Realm roms or any of the look alike models (Volt, Pulse)?
I have an LG Realm too, and i also searched everywhere and made threads on Androidforums for some help but nothing, so i want to know too, atleast if theres a cwm recovery for it so i can back it up

I have successfully rooted, installed TWRP and unlocked the bootloader on the Realm. After this I attempted to install Carbon 4.4.4 for the L70 but it failed to flash. The L70 and the Realm are the exact same phone idk why it failed. Error was the usual "error executing updater binary in zip" .:crying:
So I ended up getting another lg g Stylo with metropcs, however it came with 10j. Is there a way to root it with that software? My previous one was on 10i and was rooted. Just wanted to confirm though before I brick my phone again hahaha
The reason why I'm rooting it is so I can flash the Google emojis... The Lg emojis are garbage.
