Hi, I am trying to send a photo from my message app. If i choose a photo and send it, it sends a completely different photo, wich is very annoying, it could get ugly. Imagine if i sent a wrong picture to my girlfriend og boss.
I recently did a complete backup in recovery mode, installed another rom and then restored to previous rom.
I also moved alot of pictures from both my internal and external sd card to my computer.
I have tried to clear data of my album, but still the same.
Z1 compact, running this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...nt/rom-z5mx-rom7-5-0extended-battery-t3227779
Any solutions?

Hey y'all, I was just on Whatsapp, and my friend sent me an image.I saw the pic and deleted it.. Now to be quite honest with you guys, I could get in trouble for some of those images if anyone were to grab hold of my phone and go through it....eek!!
I went to my gallery and deleted the pics.. (just to be sure i went to Whatsapp folder in SD card and checked the Image folder nothing was there)
Is it safe it assume that i have safely deleted the pic.
Or is it saved in whatsapp server and can be retrived?
Also when i clear my conversation? Is it fully cleared? Or can that also be got back?
Thanks
all the messages, pics and videos are stored on your sd card...so you cannot retrieve it once deleted

Actually, you can retrieve deleted things... There are numerous applications available for that... Like recuva
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
I have a samsung galaxy s4 which I just installed a micro sd card in to free up space on the device to upgrade to android lollipop. I moved all my photos to the sd card and now when I take a picture, the photo is automatically saved to the sd card (which is good). However, I use the picasa app which was pre-installed on the phone for organising my pictures, instead of the gallery app, as I want all the pictures to back up to google plus. The problem I'm now having is that deleting a picture in the picasa photo app does not delete the picture from the sd card! It deletes from the picasa gallery, from the stock gallery app and also from the auto backup album on google plus (which is what I want), the only thing is doesn't do is actually delete the picture from the sd card for some reason? When the photos were saved on the device it deleted the pictures from there but it doesn't seem to want to do the same thing with the sd card. This is annoying as I have to 1st delete the picture in the picasa photo app to get rid of it from the online back up album, and then go into files-all files-DCIM-camera, and then select the photo and delete it from there! Is it possible to have this sync properly again so I don't have to do this?!
Thanks
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Lets start by properly identifying your device, which variant of the S4 do you have please?
No response in two days, thread closed.
WhatsApp claims that my photos are not photos & so won't allow me to send them! A message comes up saying this when I pick a photo from my gallery (or a freshly taken photo) as soon as the screen reverts to the messaging app conversation it is being sent to.
Also, if I open the camera from within WhatsApp & take a picture, it just doesn't register & the app returns to the open conversation.
It also won't let me send screenshots.
I'm sure I used to be able to send pictures (I don't send many!) but certainly can't now.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?!
(I'm on B182)
Cheers.
Check the app permissions. Maybe it doesn't have direct camera or photo/file access.

Yeah, it does - that's why I'm stuck now, there must be a fair explanation which I can sort out but I can't find it!

I have the same problem with my WhatsApp . all the permissions are enabled in settings but the problem still exists. Did you find the solution to the problem? Thanks
Still working on it but I think it's to do with the amount of media I've received in the past, has filled the 'memory'.
I didn't realise that received files seem to save within the app which only has so much space - something like that anyway!
When I deleted a load of old stuff from within messages, I was again able to send & receive.
Try it.....!
never had that issue before, have you tried reinstall the app from scratch? and clear the cache on the phone?
Done a force stop etc. but I've not done a reinstall because there's too much info I may need access to in my current situation - can do without any more hassles!
Keep hoping an app update will help but not so far it seems.
you can do a backup of everything and then try that

I seem to have hit the Whatsapp images or media limit, there were 1950 images when the issue of "the file you sent was not a photo" and something along the lines of "can't receive the image" occured. Deleted a few images from whatsapp image folder, and for good measure, ran the phone's storage cleaner app to delete redundant files. It seems to work. If the error occurs again, might have to remove more media from storage.
It's been some days that my phone's gallery gone crazy and all my thumbnails are wrong, when i open the photo it has the same thumbnail as the photo (example: thumbnail of me, i open it, picture of me) but the name of that picture is wrong in my gallery and when i send it via whatsapp, messenger... the picture the other person gets is the wrong one, i mean thumbnail and opened picture are the same but wrong ones, name and sent ones are the correct ones. I've copied my pictures on my pc and everything is fine, even with file explorer on my phone everything's ok, it's just my gallery. I tried to delete all app data, cache, the .thumbnail folder, used cleaning apps but nothing worked, is anything else i could do except from reseting my phone? Thanks in advance for replies.

Try updating the Gallery app from apkmirror.com
Might need to enable secure startup from settings then reboot the phone first if you get a package conflict error trying to install it
Don't know if this is the correct thread. If it's wrong, please move.
I have a boring problem regarding facebook that is occurring for a long time, a few years i think. The problem is: when i going to post a photo in a comment, i click on the camera icon and choose the photo, that's what normally everyone does but the problem is that the photos are in non-chronological order! If i take one photo from the camera, that photo will appear in that facebook gallery.
And that happened after i removed the memory card from the card for some reason which now i don't. I have attached the memory card back again but the photos still are in a messed order.
I've search about it and found it that is some sort of web cache that facebook made.
I have cleared the my facebook data cache but is still the same thing.
My question is: how to fix this or how to clear the cache so that my photos are in the correct order ?
