There is no way to root Moto G Without Unlocking Bootloader.
Also The Pie Root Method By Jcase NOt Working For latest Firmware.
I am on verizon moto g android 4.4.4(yes 4.4.4) rooted with kingo(kingo not king) root (the apk version) and root checker and es file manager both say i have root, busybox is installed but sunshine still says i have no root is that because i am on 4.4.4 and what can i do because i know my phone is rooted.
I hace tried every single method and it seems its impossible to root 5042T running 4.4.4 KitKat... Any help will be apriciated.:crying:
Been trying to root mine for some time too, tried all the app ones(kingroot ect), even desktop versions and no luck. Would appreciate some help too.
I need help with this as well.
I found out that the latest firmware blocks root. I successfully rooted mine with Kingroot for the A3CUMC1 firmware. You need to downgrade the firmware then apply root.
it's easy to root 5042t
it's easy to root 5042t
1) KingRoot-5.0.5.apk
2) after rooting reboot and install other version of KingRoot-4.8.1-136.apk, reboot
3) then install SuperSUme-6.7.0-Pro.apk and it will remove KingRoot exchanging it on SuperSU
4) then apdate SuperSU till SuperSU-2.78-2-Pro.apk
5) Plus it's not bad after all to install BusyBox-51-Pro.apk and ADB-Insecure-2.00.apk and Apps2SD-12.6Pro.apk
i have been trying to root the droid maxx with pwnmymoto and everytime i try to adb install or install with the apk i get a error saying there is the same package
So... I broke my old Verizon M8 that was rooted. Got new one and upgraded it to 6.0.
Now I am trying to root it and get s-off.
From what I remember and my notes I need to temp root it with KingRoot, then use Sunshine to get s-off, after that I can install TWRP, and after that SuperSU binaries for permanent root.
I followed these steps
factory reset,
Installed KingRoot
did RUU using DOTTAT_VZWM8_M_S_ON_6_0_RUU.zip
Enabled USB Debug
Enabled High precision GPS
Enabled Mock location (set it to KingRoot)
Now I am running KingRoot and it keeps restarting at 18-20%.
Anything I am missing?
Did I had to do it with Android 5.0 and I can't root it with 6.0?
Thank You
UPDATE: So I guess Sunshine can now temproot it self. I installed it, it updated to latest one, was able to gain temp root, and now I am S-OFF and boot loader unlocked.
Moral of the story: RTFM.
