Hello,
I bought phone from second hand it was vodofone uk. I have EE UK contract and I want use EE. Phone unlocked EE sim card is working. Problem is that I can't get EE Wifi calling service, because you upgrade to EE firmware. I need wifi calling because at my place signal is very poor. Phone firmware are vodofane Uk so I can't get EE wifi calling service. I tried to change firmware to EE UK, but phone always restarts. Is anything else I should do?
Can you recommend what I should do?
Thanks a lot
you need to flash the latest evr s6 firmware as this has the wifi calling feature built in

Hi,
Recently got a Koodo GTi9020A and have tried to use it in the UK with a 3 Sim.
The phone gets a full 3G signal, data and internet work, however there is a problem with making calls when using the 3G signal.
When the phone is turned on I can make one call to a landline, however if I hang up and dial again there is silence. Calls to other mobiles are scrambled.
I have spoken to Google and have been told that the Canadian software will not work with a UK Sim and the phone will need flashed with UK software.
The phone is therefore 'locked' to the Canadian networks. The lady from Google mentioned that a fully unlocked phone would be more expensive!
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
Recently, I've started to have random issues with phone calls not coming through to my phone. I noticed that my primary SIM with LTE has noticeably worse service than my secondary SIM. Both SIMs are on the same network, but the issue appears to be LTE-related. Whichever SIM I use, once connected to LTE the service drops at least 2 bars lower.
This is a Singapore stock Dual SIM phone with Malaysian firmware (for more reguar updates). Do I need to update the modem firmware to be more compliant with Australia's networks? Or is this something inherent to the phone?
Thanks for any help!

I never used the Malaysian firmware but I can tell you that I've had the Russian one before and my lte signal was pretty bad in Canada. I've reflashed with the Saudi Arabian fw and I'm seeing significant improvements.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I'll have to give it a shot and see how it goes.
Hello everyone,
I bought a samsung s10e that I suspect is the AT&T version G970UZKAATT. This phone is supposed to come sim unlocked.
- Does that mean that when I insert a TMob sim card, will it reboot like the S9 and the TMobile logo will show up, then
the phone will work just like a regular TMob version G970UZKATMB?
- Will it have wifi-calling for TMob?
- Will it support all TMob LTE and HSPA frequencies e.g. band 71?
- Do all versions of the G970U support the same frequencies once unlocked just as these websites suggest?

Hardwares all the same. No, it wont boot with a Tmob logo. If you want it to act like a Tmob G970 flash the Tmob firmware.
I was just testing a S10e that has G970U1 as model (probably flashed) on the back says G970U.... I inserted an Ultra Mobile SIM card (TMob mvno) and it seems that the wifi calling works on the unlocked ROM .... So no need to flash TMob version, I believe.
Can anyone confirm wifi calling works on the factory unlocked version?
I have the g970u1 factory unlocked with u1 firmware. It has tmobile wifi calling. The only things missing are tmobile video calling and that rcs messaging I think. But, I flashed the tmobile u firmware a couple months back and the phone booted up like a tmobile branded one with the jingle and stuff. I didn't need those so I reflashed the u1

Thank you so much for confirming. I've just got my g970u1 factory unlocked and wifi calling with Ultra (TMob mvno) seems to work too. I tested using airplane mode enabling just wifi and I can still make calls
My phone is an unlocked AT&T phone. It has AT&T bloatware. The serial number indicates it is an AT&T phone. The service provider software version is ATT. I bought the phone so I could use the wi-fi calling feature which is nowhere to be found. Put the AT&T SIM in my son's phone and he has wi-fi calling. AT&T's website gives the latest firmware as G970USQS5GUF1. My phone was just updated OTA to G970USQS6GUI1 which happens to be the T-mobile firmware. I put a T-mobile SIM card in the phone and I now have wi-fi calling. T-Mobile coverage is basically non-existent in rural Appalachia so I don't want to switch carriers. I have read numerous posts that say the basic firmware is the same for all carriers. So, my question is which files do I need to flash to get wi-fi calling working on my phone? Also, I can't really go back to BL 5 can I? I am totally new to this although I have flashed a Moto before.
Hi,
I previously had a UK EE e-sim in my S22 Ultra and since then I have switched networks to Vodafone UK (normal sim) but I am having a lot of issues with the signal.
Both my boy's phones (Sony and Xiaomi) work so much better on the same network and same location.
I noticed that the carrier service on the phone shows as EVR rather than VOD.
How do I change the service provider version without resetting the phone and is there a Vodafone UK specific firmware available?
