Hi.
I did not flash the ROM that you mentioned (Primo-S)!
Which recovery do you use to flash the custom rom? I had some issues with CWMR and had to switch to TWRP ... to flash CM 11 on the Desire-S.
Regards.
Hi.
After rooting the phone (with CMWR) I flashed TWRP recovery to the HTC Desire S (TWRP-saga-2.8.7.0-unofficial.img)
After booting in recovery I installed CM 11 (cm-11-20150702-UNOFFICIAL-XNG3C-saga.zip)
Due to the limited space on the HTC Desire S I installed only a reduced set of GAPPS afterwards (gapps-444-base-20150818-1-signed.zip plus some Gapps afterwards).

Hey guys, I've seen this issue before yet I've tried everything in a few threads now but have no idea what is happening,I have tried using search function yet no solution has fixed my problem.
Problem:
When installing custom ROMs the installation goes fine. I put the ROM on the sdcard, follow instructions for flashing e.g wipe data/cache etc and then flash GAPPS. However I get stuck on the boot logo of every ROM. I've tried both TWRP and CWM recoveries, both with no luck. Also tried not flashing GAPPS and just trying to flash the ROM to no avail.
Current state of phone:
The phone is currently running stock firmware via downloading factory image and flashing in boot-loader : stock boot, recovery, system image etc
The phone works fine when rooted on stock firmware. E.g no custom rom yet rooted.
Could really do with some help guys, any ideas?

same problem simple solution another user informed me of.
simply donwgrade to 4.3 JB stock rom through fastboot. Then you are able to flash a custm rom from the 4.3 stock rom.
Its crazy i have to do this but it worked for me, now im running the xperience rom which is a rom based on 4.4.2 kk.
the 4.3 android stock firmwares are linked somewhere in the FAQ's as well as the guide to ffastboot lash it.
peace.

Hey man, worked a charm thanks!
For users who may have the same problem:
After flashing 4.3 onto the device it did NOT boot.
- However I then went into the bootloader flashed custom recovery, I used cwm.
- Then I went into recovery, used adb to push the rom and gapps onto sdcard
- Full wipe and then installed rom. Then installed gapps
Working fine.
Cheers chairsz :good::good:

You could try extracting the boot.img from you custom rom, placing it in your adb folder, then flash the boot image all by itself with TWRP. That has pulled me out of bootloops....
Hi there,
I flashed omerjerk' CM 12.1 according to the install guide and also flashed GAPPS afterwards.
CM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
GAPPS: as suggested in install guide https://github.com/cgapps/vendor_google/tree/builds/arm64 i took the "gapps-5.1-arm64-2015-07-17-15-08.zip"
When rebooting the system, CM optimized all apps and then started.
Then, I got the CM setup screen but the phone did not recognize any touches. After a few seconds the phone restarted again and I got into a loop.
Can someone help please?
EDIT: I have tried different ROMS (e.g. this one but I have the same problem. This time I could swipe through the languages for 1 sec. Then freeze again and restart
I guess your on MIUI 6.7.x.x or 7.0.x.x ...................... to use any custom rom on Mi4i you need to be on MIUI 6.6.x.x or earlier verion to it before u flash custom roms ....
Fastboot your device with 6.6.x.x to fix and install CM or any roms.

I got it working.
I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
and the guide included already the flash to MIUI 6.6.10
I think everybody should include that step in their guides
I wanted to install cutom rom in my Mi4i working on MIUI 8, so I installed TWRP from toolkit , which also installed SuperSU.But I don't know if my bootloader was unlocked or not?
I saw in a youtube video to flash MIUI 6 first to install Custom rom or you might endup in BOOTLOOP.
In TWRP I wiped Dalvik,Data,Cache,System.
Went to INSTALL, tried installing MIUI6 but that package failed to install. Giving error unable to mount.
I tried custom rom crDroid and it installed but when I restarted I WAS STUCK IN BOOTLOOP.
After a heartattack I finally flashed MIUI8 with MiFLASHER using fastboot image of MIUI 8.
SO, I want to ask IS THERE A WAY TO INSTALL CUSTOM ROM ,IF I AM ON MIUI 8????
And that bootloop was caused beacuse I didn't unlock bootloader when I installed crDroid???
Thanx in advance. Please somebody help???

I would suggest you to install Resurrection Remix as it is based on miui8 firmware.
You were stuck in bootloop because crDroid was based on miui6 firmware and probably your installation of the same was failed ( Like you're saying )
Since you get "Heart Attack", Prefer clean install.
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash Rom, gapps,
Reboot to system.
Note:- To install custom ROMs based on miui6 firmware, first of all, flash the provided firmware in the thread instead of flashing the whole miui6.
Ask further if it doesn't work.
Hit thanks if helped.
Hey there.
So, my 6045 was on that awful MM update filled with ads, so I changed the firmware to the Panasonic one in order to be able to install TWRP and next flash either Lineage or RR.
I have no problem installing TWRP using the Idol 3 suite (Here), however, whenever I try to flash the Lineage zip, or the RR zip, it gets stuck on the Powered by Android screen.
I always wipe everything before flashing the zips.
I have tried wiping cache/dalvik after flashing them, and also not wiping. Either way, and with both roms, the phone gets stuck, and I need to use the Panasonic tool again to restore the phone to a functioning state.
Please help, I've been repeating this process about 10 times, and it's getting very frustrating.
Thanks.
EDIT: Is the version of TWRP somehow relevant for this? The latest version I can install is 3.0, from the link provided. If I try to install this one I get a bootloop. Please help.
Hi, u need to flash the MM partitons zip first then the rom . Look on AlekDev customs roms threads, he usualy has the MM partition file.
