I've tried switching to nova launcher and google now launcher and tried everything on both
Ok google detection from google now launcher home screen and within google app works.
It was working just fine on Lollipop 5.1.1 , I updated it to marshmallow 6.0 and here are the things missing
1. Ok Google detection from any screen, even the options for ok google detection from any screen is not visible (was visible and working before update) ( working on Google now launcher's home screen and in google app)
2. Now on tap -Even though i've enabled it, it just doesn't wants to work it just vibrates once every time i hold home button.
3. Whenever i try to toggle now on tap in settings it says "Unfortunately Google app has stopped"
What all i tried:
Changing language to English US
Updating all apps -gapps
clearing data of google app

Hello guys,
It's Really lame that if you don't live in the US you can't use some cool apps that the developers has restricted it to Us residents like Pandora...Hulu....you name it.
But not Anymore! there is a way to enjoy using those apps and we will use it!
now I'm in morocco but still i can install any us-only app on my device using the play store in my mobile or on the Play store website on PC using this simple way.
A - There is a simple method for Noobs (no root required) which is to use :
1Mobile Market download from :
Here:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.onemobile.lite.android
or
Here:http://www.1mobile.com/
you can install anything you want from it without any restriction (free only!)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
B - advanced method ( Root is required! ) :
1 - install Market Unlocker ( Rooted devices only! )
Which can be found in 1Mobile market ( Links posted Above! )
2 - Put your device in Airplane Mode
3 - On Market Unlocker go to "Market" on the left side and choose one of the 5 Us Carriers
4 - Go back to home and check on (if not already checked!) "Enable Unlocker" & "Auto Unlock"
5 - Turn on wifi
6 - Connecting to a US-VPN is Recommended but a US Proxy will do just fine and it's even easier if you have Market Unlocker pro.
7 - Go to Google Play and check if you can install any Us-only App like "Pandora"
8 - If it works turn off the Airplane Mode and continue using your device normally.
! - Optional: You can make your device look like it's on an American Carrier on the Google play website By simply :
- Opening the site when you reach step 7
- Go to Options on the upper right side of the screen and then My orders and settings
- Go to settings (check if your device Carrier hasn't already changed!)
- Go to the nickname and change it to something else and press on update on the left and that will do the job!
........and now you can turn off airplane mode. !
P.S : If no luck.....
-try turning airplane mode off and on during the process and try again steps from 4 to 8
-and/or try to clear Google Play data in " Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store > Clear Data / cache "
--some of my friends reported that a reboot after step 5 made it work so be creative don't stop trying!!
Good luck & Have fun!
Confirmed to be working with Amazon Appstore
- after entering the proxy change the option "Proxy for applications" from Google Play to All Applications.
- Enable proxy & Enable Unlocker and that will do the job.
I'm also trying a new method using a USA DNS if it works i'll update my Post
920 view and not a single reply!
Thats wierd :-D
Thank you!
I understand the reasons for some apps not being available outside US.
But some boggle me like the PRO TREK PRW-5100 app. It has Digital Compass, Barometer / Thermometer and Altimeter. I don't see why for any logical issue would I not be able to install it outside the US.
I tried sending an email to the dev over a month ago and no response.
Any one has an idea on why I can't use this app other than in the states?
This is great!!! Thank you so much!
Does it still work?
Really
Easiest way is vpn...
Still works?
Is it still working? And do I have to root my phone?

I second that..
Create google account with VPN and then goto play store
Saw this on phandroid and thought it was worth sharing here.
If you're like me and you want to test out some of the most noticeable new features in Android 4.4 KitKat then this is for you.
I have tested cm11 alpha1 for about 30 minutes and all I can say is that it's nothing more than a proof of concept at this point (just like the alpha tag suggests).
So if you want some of the quirks of KitKat in a stable environment (any jb rom) here's a way of getting some of it.
While Google still hasn’t provided the actual launcher in the Play Store, some simple sideloading of the GoogleHome.apk we found in the Nexus 5′s factory image, along with the updated Google Search app, got everything up and running. Here’s our easy how-to on getting GEL installed and fully functional on your Android device.

First, make sure to enable the sideloading of apps by going into your device Settings > Security > and checking Unknown sources. From there download the updated Google Search and Google Home from us (linked below). Jump into your Downloads app and install both the apps you just downloaded (press the descriptions, not the check boxes), selecting “done” after every installation.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/gxv7cvpcvv79i23/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox318.apk
http://www.mediafire.com/download/3ina0fd8fwki5fo/GoogleHome.apk
From there, press the home button and select “Launcher” as your default homescreen — this is the new Google Experience Launcher. You’ll notice the always listening “Ok Google” command doesn’t work from the Google Experience Launcher. No worries, turning it on is easy.
For some, you’ll be able to swipe to the left and quickly access Google Search/Now, but if that’s not available, you’ll need to actually enable the new Google Search/Now app. It’s easy, just open the Google Search app (listed as “Google” in your app drawer) and click “Next” then “I’m in.” Once that’s taken care of, jump back to your homescreen. You’ll now be able to swipe to the left and access Google Now.
Once in Google Now, scroll all the way to the bottom and press the 3 dot menu to select Settings. From there, select “voice” > “offline speech recognition” (manage downloaded languages). Now, we’re going to work our way from the right tab, all the way to the left.
Select the Auto-Update tab from the top and choose one of the auto-update options (we recommend leaving it on “over WiFi-only”). After that, scoot over to the All tab and find English (US). You’ll notice it already says “pre-installed”. Don’t listen to it. Select English (US) anyway. From there, jump to the Installed tab and press “English (US)” where you’ll be asked to download the latest version (version 28 at the time of writing). Hit “Download” and the updated version will be downloaded and installed.
After it’s finished downloading, press the home button where you’ll notice “Ok Google” will now be displayed inside the Google Search widget. Simply speak that phrase whenever you’re on your homescreen to perform a Google Search or voice actions. That’s it. Was relatively painless, right?
Thanks, Justin!

Model number: D2005
Build Number: 20.1.A.0.47
Basically I will share with all of you those services which can be disabled safely.
You will need ROOT permissions to get this app to work on your device.
Also feel free to post services which you found out that can be disabled without any system app crash or anything.

If you are not using bluetooth then yes you can disable it and try if bluetooth works just in case.
TelephonyDebugService - I have no idea but it does not affect calling and it's quality. Trust me I ve tested.
About fingerprintservice, yes you can disable it.
locationservice mostly is for gps so if you are not using it you can disable it.
Please do not touch Android System category and System UI category!
disable these mentioned services and post how your phone performs, no worries if something will go wrong you can always enable them.
I will add more services with description in first post

I recommend disabling services that I have posted in OP, those are tested and without any bugs or crashes.
As soon as I will find out more services to disable I will keep you updated.
Do not disable anything you are not sure about!

have new update and please try again:victory:
Now is working but closing sometimes after some period of time.
Suggestions and one bug:
1) app crashes when click calculator (maybe because my device don't have one in standard and Im using 3rd apps for gallery, music, video and calculator)
2) add option to change web browser (Im using opera as main app and chrome for some cases)
3) add option to change SMS app (notification options) because Im using Textra, not stock standard app
4) add more themes (it would be great if we can change colors by some pallete or hex codes)
5) add polish language xD (I can help with this)
Thats all for now, nice job
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
We will keep improving this little widget thing.

Very nice and impressive works! Big thanks to the developer!
However, the app significantly causes reboot to my phone (note 5 with Android 6.0).
I really like this app...but I decided to uninstall it since it makes my phone reboot too often...
Hope the developer can fix this bug in the future...I hope it is a rare case for me only...
Thanks!
