Vibe shot(z90-3) bricked ! - General Questions and Answers

Hi, my vibe shot has been dead for 3 days now. I bought it from ebay due to the fact that its arrival would be delayed in my country.I took the z90-3 instead of z90-7 cause it cost less and thought the only thing different would be the memory(16GB vs 32GB). It came out that i had the chinese rom installed with its bloatware. 3 days ago i decided i wanted the international rom so i flashed my rom based on a thread of yours. Everything was great till i realized my sim signal was dead. then in my panic i tried to flash again with an unsuitable firmware. Now i have a dead phone. It wont open at all, when i connect and disconnect it doesn't light up the led only be shown on ports(Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM3)). Is there anything i can do to revert the functionality of my phone or should i consider buying another one? I would apprieciate your help.

Hi David,
As I wrote to you, I had the same issue after flashing the wrong ROM. At first, it was stuck on the boot logo and then there was no life at all. I solved it by plugging it into the wall charger. The LED came on after 20 minutes and then once the battery was full (about 6 hours), I was able to reflash the correct firmware.

Hi, i would like to thank you for your help! :victory: Ι have manage to open the phone and install a custom ROM. Your advice has been decisive.Of course now i still don't have signal...

Good news!
I don't have this issue yet (I also haven't put a SIM in my phone yet
But depending on the ROM you installed, you could try this..? http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/lenovo-vibe-shot-z90-7-unlock-radio-t3198395

Already tried these steps. Nothing worked signall dead.

[Q] downgrade to stock rom from 10.1 (this is not simple)

Hi there
My phone needs to be sent to samsung service to be repaired and it is still covered by the warranty
Obviously before send it I have to revert to a stock rom (one samsung original firmware), but this is not so simple.
Scenario:
1) I am on 10.1 A8
2) I am unable to connect my phone to any computer via USB (hardware issue or rom related???)
3) mobile odin not works with CM and MIUI based rom (due their particular file sistem)
4) because of the different file system I cannot simply use the recovery to flash over cm 10.1A8 a not miui or CM rom (i.e. Frankenstain mod) and then use mobile odin to flash a stock firmware
so I am here trying to find a solution and any suggestion will be really appreciated .
thx
cheers!
What are you saying odin not works? Its not true. Follow my guide in this section entitled "General guide for noobies" there's a guide on how to return to stock.

thank you for your kind answer but that's it.
Odin do not detect the USB com port where my phone is connect and even the computer do not recognize my phone. It is not a driver releted issue (I tried on athor computer and always installed latest sansung mobile usb driver and even latest adb driver)... I guess it is hardware related.
So the question is:
Starting from cm10.1 A8
1) can I inject via cwm a stock rom? (I suspect the answer is "NO")
or
2) there is any injectable rom that is compatible with MOBILE odin? (not CM or MIUI based)?
thx
Hmn thats a problem. You just flash stock rom with Mobile Odin. You tried installing KIES? before doing odin?

yes, I guess it is hardware related... yesterday I bought a new S3mini (which I have already rooted and injected CM10.1 by maclaw and it is fully working except for some minor issues) eheh
I am trying to repair my slc (hoping that it is a problem related to minor device and not the whole matherboard)
but also
eheh cheers!
just to share updates of my phone's problem:
During a call (and only during a call and not all the time) my speakers starts rustling and it stops only when I push or knock on the backpanel near the sim and sd card.
After that I can continue my call... but in a short time my phone freezes.
I guess that is the cause of reboots or SODs. In the last past hours I also notice that After a SOD it didn't boot at all with strange stripes on bootlogo. Even this time pushing an knocking on the back help to make my device boot.
So, tired of this situation and unable to restore original fw to send it to sammy service (I am still under warranty), yesterday I decided bought a new phone (S3mini) and trying to rapair by myself my slc.
That's all.
For me this thread (if is not usefull for other users) could be closed.
Thank you all!
cheers

[Q] Is there a way to recover from a hard-brick?

So I basically made an update to 3.0 beta software made by Huawei for H60-L04, but the update bricked my phone (I think it has to do with the fact I had flashed 3.0 L01 firmware on my L04 some days before).
My phone now won't turn on, even if I plug it or hold Power for more than 20 seconds.
Does anybody know of a way of making it work again? I won the phone through a partnership between Honor and another site I go to, and thus I don't have the invoice, so any RMA return is impossible for me.
Thank you.
matzehtc has nearly the same problem. He flashed the L04 on his L02 and tried to flash it back to L02. More info about his problem is in the main HH6 thread
I have a L12 with L04 Firmware and I want back to L12 too. But atm I am to scared to flash it back to L12
So I am interested too, if there is a way reverting back to L12.
I flashed the offical 60-70 MB revert update from Huawei (EMUI 3.0 to EMUI 2.3). After this I could flash the L04 Update. No root no unlock was needed.

I found matzehtc's posts. Unfortunately, they didn't really help me, because on mine, even the 3 buttons procedure doesn't switch the phone on.

If you charge the phone, is the charging led flashing?
If not, maybe its in some strange loop and its needed to disconnect the battery or wait till it is empty. Disconnecting is a litte bit hard in this phone.

You don't have adb access into the phone either? I had bricked my phone earlier, but I managed to recover it by accessing the device through a software called QtADB and reverting back to the original system files.

No, I don't have access to that.
But today, Huawei agreed to exchance it for a brand new unit, so I guess it's okay. I just have to send them the bricked phone and I'll get a new one.
Also, thanks to everyone for their answers. I don't think I'll be flashing another Chinese firmware anytime soon now.

I wrote them on their Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/HonorFR ), and they told me to write them an email at their support email ( [email protected] ).
Don't know if you can contact them like that outside of Europe, but you can go there: http://hihonor.com/support and send them an email through here too.
Thx, but it seems the german Huawei Facebook team do not care about giving support. Like the mail support... no reaction.
The German support generally ignores every request seemingly. If then I'd ask the British support (or the French if you can)
Yeah, after nearly 2 weeks they answered my email. They told me that they only give Support for phones which are available on their german page and do not support customer with imported phones.
Gesendet von meinem H60-L04 mit Tapatalk
Got my new unit this morning, and in the meantime I had received my TouchPlus screen protector... I can say it's a really nice combo.
And the French Honor team is really nice, too. They are really fast responding and really seem to care about customers, which to me is a nice thing. I also had a software bug with the Bitcasa app and they said they would contact their dev team to fix it asap, so I'm pretty satisfied with customer support.
Well anyway, thanks everyone here who tried to help me too!

oneplus one stuck at bootloop when not charging

HI I have 1+1 and its 2 years 3 month old. Presently its on CM13 MM(oxygen OS I guess) and rooted and have a recovery also. I did root and recovery around 8 months back.
2 days back when mobile was in pocket and 35% battery it went in to bootloop. after lot of stuffs like clearing cache and dalvik cache nothing worked.
Later at night i found out that mobile is working fine when its connected to charging (either by lapi or Mob charger). Hence I didn't go back to old recovery.
yesterday fully drained my battery and later charged to full and found same issue.
I am not able to make out whats the issue and how to move forward if I don't want to loose my resent data state. PLs guys help me to solve this issue.
will do whatever needed to restore my mobile. TIA
Wait I didn't understand what u said ,ur saying that your phone gets stuck in boot loop when its not charging ,what happens when you are changing and then u plug it off ? Does it like reset ?

see it sounds weird but its true. when i connect charging it boots in normally and normal operation will start as usual. Even after full starting, once I remove charging connection it goes off to boot loop. I didn't do any modification in software also. just did normal downloading off apps.
I saw slimier 2 complaints in Oneplus forum but no one relied for that. even originator has not updated what he did finally. I have asked for reply from them too.

Then no issues with hardware....seems like a bad/corrupt frimware.
You need to unlock your bootloader and flash latest Cos13 through fastboot.
How to- https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...oader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/
To flash Cos13- https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541
Hope this helps.
Edit:After reading your first post seems like you're already rooted and have Twrp installed, with a unlocked bootloader, obviously.Though I don't able to understand if you're using cm13 or cos13 or oxygen os...
If you don't want to loose your internal storage, you can skip the userdata flash command while flashing Cos13 through fastboot, though,it is recommended to do that command.
You can always go to Twrp and take the backup of your internal storage in pc through MTP or a full backup using ADB.

can't this problem be fixed if i just move back to old backup?

bro one more issue started yesterday. I thought to making battery full nil and charge to 100% may help.
Before without charging connected I was able to go in twrp but not now. if i remove charging its going to restart even recovery mode also. When I went to restore old backup in TWRP mobile is auto starting even when charger is connected. but if i dont do anything its staying fine in TWRP lock screen.
without charging connected i can go into fastboot n stay for as long as i want but comp is not detecting mobile even though developer option is ON.
Yesterday thought of restoring old backup which interrupted half within 1min and now if i start mobile while charging its getting struk at 1+1 welcome screen.
I am fully confused like anything..
is it not strange that so many people (including) have started facing this issue suddenly in the past two months?
I too am facing this issue. Has anyone managed to find a fix for the issue?

yes I am from India. I would suggest you first try with replacement battery as everyone sell replacement battery. you can find any of these in ebay. In India Oneplus is ready to arrange a original one costing Rs 1800. They asked me for a week time to arrange original battery. So its upto u to decide to take new one or replacement.

Fake Rom

To anyone who has bought a xiaomi Mi 5X and has a multilanguage rom, DON´T try to change the rom unless you wannna get a beautiful Brick.
Yeah! I have one device with this problem. After flash ROM in download mode, when try to power on device, this comes in 900E Diagnostic mode. Tried test point and flashed ROM again and after finish, again no boot, device is in 900E again and again. I have a nice paper weight here now! Please, someone post a way to fix this!
This happened to me today. Flashed TWRP and followed up with MIUI 9, on reboot...nothing. After much research I’ve ordered a deep flash cable as a last hope. I also get 900E in device manager.
Wife not happy.

The flash to twrp went perfectly, not sure why it screwed up so badly.

When flash via download mode, no way to boot like in fastboot mode, then no way to access recovery anymore. Someone, like Guy that install this hacked ROM for sellers need to public the method to recovery It or publish moded ROM for try to flash this again or a way to recover device for use with official ROM again.
When I did the install, TWRP installed and booted to recovery without a problem. When flashing MIUI 9 I do recall an error about missing firmware, not sure if that was a problem. Seems strange the MiFlash and official ROM cannot fix this. I have doubts that the seller is going to help me in any way....

Yeah. The better way is open dispute and send it back and get New one with official firmware out of box or get money back.
So is this something that only happens to the phones that have the global rom flashed from the seller? As in it can be avoided by asking for the phone with stock software/firmware?
I have the same problem. Phone ordered from GeekBuing and Fake Global ROM. I think Xiaomi has not issued a global ROM for this phone yet. I have already written to the retailers that I want to complain about the phone and let me write about how to revive it. So far no one knows what to do with that, is it?

Yeah friend! idk why this! People that bought it know that this comes with Chinese ROM or Global ROM when it has Global ROM. If device has only Chinese ROM, sellers want to keep it and users choose if unlock bootloader and change the ROM or not.
Exactly.
Anyone can extract and upload this Fake rom, so we can at least have an slightly working phone? Or anyone managed to install other rom?
Thanks
Did anyone try to revive the phone via a deep flash cable?

Question How to Flash Black Shark Rom

Hello, i just bought a Black Shark 4 6GB/128GB with the Global rom and I want to flash it to the Chinese rom.
I think the chinese version is better in performance and optimization, and recieve better and newer updates, am i wrong?
Well, just want to know how to flash my device. Thanks for the help, everyone!
same i wanna know to to flash or where we can download it the seller in aliexpresse he have the rom and know how to do it
You can flash via OTA image. If you flash the China ROM, you lose your Google services.

How do i flash via OTA?
I had a blackshark 1 with chinese rom, i was able to install google services and apps, i think is the same for this one right?
On an pending OTA update you replace the downloaded image with another on of same name.
i got a pending update. I have the file to an Mp4 chinese version, just copy the mp4 and rename it on the ota_package folder?
I used the phone for 5 days, but when I turned it off, it didn't turn on and there was no signal except for picking it up in the task manager on my computer.

You should send it for repair or send a replacement to the store due to initial failure.
There are so many threads
No one can rewrite the ROM,
I'm talking about the world view if it is.

Do you think the motherboard is damaged? When I connect it to the computer, it appears in the task manager Or is the problem only taking off? I haven't used it much and it hasn't fallen off How did this happen
How does this blackshark4 enter 9008 mode? I think it's in EL mode, but it's a DEEP FLASH MODE USB cable Did you use it? Either way, without FULL ROM I think I can't do anything.

I took the phone to the specialist and he told me that the problem was the death of the bot and he gave me two solutions The first is the use of test points But I don't want to unlock the phone The second is to make a flash, but I did not find the firmware I'm sick of this phone
There is no choice but to inquire the firmware persistently with the seller or give up.
As far as I can see on the internet, I can only buy from the factory for money.
XIAOMI does not have a specific factory. Where is the factory
do not know.

Hello guys,
perhaps anyone can help me to flash my black shark 4 CN to global. I don't have the menu point "mi unlock status" The device is connected with my Mi Account but I can't bound it with Black shark account (must bound for unlock?) because I have no CN number (I live in Germany).
Hope I find help here
Thanks and Regards
Sam
