Stock ROM V15 for E030U - Miscellaneous Android Development

This is complete stock V15 ROM for E030U, The ROM includes stock V15 boot.img.
The purpose of this ROM is to allow anyone with E030U to upgrade their current version to the latest official ROM.
Or to fix a damaged device.
This ROM will be needed in the future if BLU decides to upgrade to android 6, I have no way of knowing if they are going to or not, BLU may choose not to upgrade this phone to android 6.
You don't have to install this ROM, you can continue using custom ROM, and or your current version, I am just making this ROM available to those that want it.
Note if you already unlocked your bootloader and have twrp installed, skip down to Installing ROM for those that already unlocked bootloader, and have twrp installed.
To install this ROM you need to unlock your bootloader
First download this ROM and twrp recovery

https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960685084
place V15_ROM_E030U.zip on your micro sdcard
For this method to work you need to have adb/fastboot setup and working, you will loose all data.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot reboot
setup up phone again enable adb
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery E030U_TWRP_recovery.img
fastboot reboot
adb reboot recovery
factory reset
back then install ROM
reboot system
first boot will take a long time.to install root
adb reboot recovery
install UPDATE-SuperSU.zip
reboot system
Installing ROM for those that already unlocked bootloader, and have twrp installed.
If you have already unlocked your bootloader and have twrp recovery installed, you only have to flash V15_ROM_E030U.zip, reboot wait for phone to fully reboot.
to install root
adb reboot recovery
install UPDATE-SuperSU.zip
reboot system
Took 17 minutes to boot, I have a lot of apps installed, your boot time will be different than mine, might be shorter or longer depending on amount of apps you have installed.
Those that install this rom must give it time to full boot, don't panic, phone will fully boot. after fully boot, then reboot to recovery and root by installing UPDATE-SuperSU.zip.

One question, I need to do all this for reinstall the ROM on the stock one?
I just have the Energy X Plus with the V15 stock formware installed and want to have an backup ROM for reinstall it in case of any emergency with the phone. Mine have BLU_E030U_V15_GENERIC on it.
Can this be done without all the bootloader unlcock and everything else?

No, you can't backup or restore with a locked bootloader.

[Q] to root or not to root

Hello,
1st.: while starting this new thread, I looked through the automaticly generated similar threads and found non that was suiting my problem.
Last night I unlocked the bootloader of my wifes Xperia L (C2105) and got stuck into an boot loop. After this I had the need to flash an original rom (4.1.2). This results in an total wipe of the phone :crying:
Now the phone has an unlocked bootloader and an old Android Version. I want to install the pacman rom 4.4.4. I know i have to use cwm or twrp to do this, but do I need to root the device?
I'm a little bit confused. I thought installing the *.img-File from TWRP, with the folloing command, will get me the recovery option an with this option
Code:
c:\fastboot\Fastboot.exe flash boot C:\fastboot\openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-taoshan.img
Can anyone help me out?
My wife is not upset, but with the boot loop from last night in my mind, I'm quit unsure what to do next.
many thanks in advanced
Felix
you need to root the device and use flashtool by androxyde(Easier and user friendly), first download the rom and put it in internal/external memory and then install thunderzap 4.12 by select bootkk.img and install it in fastboot mode in flashtool, now enter the recovery go into wipe and format options and choose clean to install a new ROM and then flash the pac rom and reboot
Root isn't necessary.
Download PAC ROM, Take boot.img inside the zip.
Flash boot.img via fastboot.
Boot into recovery, wipe data / factory reset.
Flash ROM and GApps.
That's it
NOP, you dont need to root to install a custom rom

you can download the rom, extract it and keep, boot.img file, in fastboot folder, and also keep the downloaded rom zip file in sd card for later use.
than you can use use fastboot commands to flash those boot.img which will install the recovery into your phone, than .
use reboot command in fastboot, it will reboot your phone, take out your cable, using volume up key go to recovery,
there clear all the cache and delvik cache file, then, install your custom rom by selecting from your sd card, it will take a bit of time for first time, so don't worry,
than you are done,

[Completed] Help with reinstalling bootloader

Hi.
I am relatively experienced user who has rooted and installed custom roms on samsung galaxy and HTC desire phones before.
I have now attempted to root my alcatel onetouch pixi 4 (4034X) using instructions from this thread :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/alcatel-one-touch-pixi-4-t3376597
I got as far as flashing twrp recovery and now the phone is stuck in constant reboot. I downloaded alcatels mobile upgrade tool in hopes of reflashing the stock rom but it seems to be looking for a later rom than the one I have installed and keeps telling me I have the lastest and so wont flash.
So can I recover from this at all or have I just bricked my phone? Is there a way to FORCE the mobile upgrade tool to reflash the current rom rather than looking for an upgrade?
It seems that everything except the bootloader is intact so is there another tool I can use to restore the bootloader?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Looks like I managed to unbrick using a combination of SP Flash tool and an SPFT rom for the 4034X I found on the internet. will now try reflashing a different recovery tool.
O.K. so I think what is happening is an issue when unlocking the bootloader and not when flashing recovery.
This is what I did:-
1. Enabled developer mode.
2. Turned on usb debugging and unlocked bootloader oem
3. Rebooted phone, plugged in cable and accepted connection authorisation.
4. From windows typed adb reboot bootloader. Went into to fastboot.
5. Typed fastboot oem unlock, Pressed volume up on phone.
At this point I was put back in fastboot but none of the buttons worked and the phone looked like it had frozen. Was It wiping data at this point? There was no indication that it was doing anything.
I removed the battery and reinserted but when I restarted I got the same boot loop problem. Had to restore stock firmware AGAIN.
Am I doing something wrong?
Update: I managed to install caliv touch recovery without unlocking the bootloader by using the same sp flash tool I used to restore the stock rom. However, I cant install root. The recovery will only let me sideload and I could only find the chainfire SU binaries for sideload (SuperSU 2.78-SR1 and superSU 2.46). Both of these seem to flash ok using adb sideload with ctr recovery but the phone hangs at the boot logo. I also had superuser-r197 (ph's sueruser) but that wouldn't sideload.
So I now have a custom recovery but still can't root
Has anyone succesfully rooted the 4034X (UK)? If so, how?

Hi & welcome to xda-assist,
you can try to force the installation of supersu systemless by this step, chances are good that this will make it boot properly.
boot into twrp >go to the terminal > and type:
echo SYSTEMLESS=false>>/data/.supersu
Don't know if the recovery you use has this terminal option but it's very likely.
You can do additional a Google search on "force SuperSU systemless" to get more information / background information..
Good luck

Thanks for your reply Sam.
I only read that after I had found a copy of a CM13 Rom that worked with The 4034X. I basically flashed superSU first then did a wipe, then installed the custom rom and google apps nano before downloading the supersu apk from google play and reinstalling. Now I have a rooted phone with a custom rom and am somewhat happier. The reason I wanted to root was to remove the bloatware that was taking up 1.5 GB of my already measly 2GB internal memory and this new ROM only takes up .5 GB.
I still have some pain. For example many of the Rom Toolbox Pro functions don't work and I think its because the system image seems protected and refuses to mount rw no matter what I do. Even issuing a remount command using the device name from cat /proc/mounts tells me the block device is read only. I also seem to be unable to verify if I have busybox or install it due to the same reason.
It also took me some time to work out that the boot animations weren't stored in /data/local or /system/media but to /data/system/theme.
This used to be so much easier in the days of ice cream sandwich and lollipop. Ah well!
Update:- Managed to flash busybox 1.26 using a flashable zip via adb sideload in Caliv Recovery (Caliv can't see my adopted storage for some reason).
I'm happy now! Would still like to have a rw system so I can remove some system apps I don't use but its no biggie.

Trouble with firmware

Im new to all this, i followed a lot of tutorials to get to the recovery mode properly, i unlocked my device, installed twrp but when i tried to install any custom rom it said that it needed a android 10 firmware, so i searched for that and i got one, i used adb sideload to flash it and it said i needed to reboot my device, i did it but now i can't get to recovery mode, my device is still unlocked but i don't know what to do, can someone help me to get back to stock miui?
my device is a Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite
before unlocking i was in miui 12.5.1 based on Android 11
Unlocking a device's bootloader doesn't affect Android OS itself, but a Factory Reset silently is applied in background.
TWRP removes the Stock Recovery, bootloader gets instructed to run TWRP Recovery instead of Stock Recovery when booting into recovery mode.
My recommendation: Re-flash phone's Stock ROM to get rid off of all modifications you applied so far. Because phone is based on a Qualcomm chipset you may use QPST Flash Tool to do so.

Please Help

Hello Guys
I was on a custom Android 12 rom. For some odd reason, my phone rebooted. Now i cant get into TWRP Recovery.
I can fastboot, but TWRP is for Android 11, and my Rom is Android 12.
What can i do to either flash stock Rom via CMD, or what can i do to get into TWRP?
Note i cant boot into my rom either
is there any way i can get into TWRP with an Android 12 Custom Rom?
TWRP is a GUI based recovery, a menu presented to you once you boot device into recovery mode, where you can select some actions from, it isn't part of Android OS itself, it doesn't depend on Android OS's version, AFAIK.
Sounds to me like you need to flash back to stock rom then use the xiaomi flash tool to set everything back to stock and restart the root process.
At this point I would advise against rooting android 12 as it is brand new and the root process is very unstable. Therefore I recommend only stock until twrp and magisk catch up.

Hit install and flash Stock OOS11
Flash latest TWRP
if that is correct cool
But after flashing latest Twrp, i cant boot back into twrp recovery. I again have to boot via fastboot.
I have flashed the TWRP boot image, but still nothing

Question TWRP LOOP stuck Poco x 3 pro

Hello everyone sorry i'm new here and also i don't know much about rooting my device Poco X 3 pro MIUI 13.0.3 Global and Andriod 12 .. sadly i messed up i had my boatloader unlocked fo my Poco x3 pro and i have installed custom recovery TWRP then i tried to install Magisk via the TWRP recovery but it won't work mainly because the data is encrypted and the TWRP can't acess in the internal storage so i used a OTG usb but gets error unable to mount /data/media/fox/.fox note that i tried both Orangefox and twrp still same error i assume its because the device is encrypted . also decrypt doesnt work it ask for password and i even removed all my accounts and disabled all lock screen but still not working at this point i thought that downgrading from MIUI 13 to 12 will fix this since i saw all videos who had it working used MIUI 12 and here where i messed up i used XiaoMiTool V2 then clicked custom ROM and used an offecial ROM from Xiaomi website ( miui_VAYUGlobal_V12.0.6.0.RJUMIXM_eccd7da42b_11.0.zip ) the phone booted into TWRP and started installing but ofcourse got the error first unable to mount /data/media/twrp then the process continued installing all the files then phone rebooted into TWRP LOOP now im stuck into TWRP and the USB debugging is turned off now as the phone appearntly did factory reset so i cant acess XiaoMiTool V2 again and when i try to wipe data from TWRP it says unable to wipe data ... please help im stuck on TWRP loop now
**UPDATE** i tried fastboot ROM using MiFlash tool but i get error since i'm stuck on twrp fastboot menue but after few restart it finally open the normal fastboot menue with the logo of the sitting rabbit which indecade this is miui 12 tried again to fash though Mifash tool and it worked (flashing the same version miui_VAYUGlobal_V12.0.6.0.RJUMIXM_eccd7da42b_11.0.zip but this time the fastboot version not the recovery one took few minutes then got error not catch checkpoint flash is not done then it reboot into the phone menue where i can click wipe data i click that and the phone (thankfully) opened into MIUI 12 LOGO screen
... theres an easier way to actually downgrade your MIUI using a trick through your phone only without root or pc or anything by changing the ROM file name before you click reboot wish i used that since its safer and official
omg finally Magisk installed successfully now didnt need to decrypt anything
now my last question is do i need custom ROM after rooting the device ? or does magisk mean its a custom root ? sorry first time rooting and i dont know if i need to install any apps or apply any setting or should i click update my MIUI now ?
Try the newest Unofficial TWRP from nebrassy (found in his thread here on XDA)
That supports decription.
I recommend arrowOS as custom ROM.
It's one of the oldest and works pretty well.
IMHO Stock ROM from Xiaomi is untrustworthy. Who knows what spyware they included.
Same for me now I have a question first I need a guide link how to install arrowOS or any better ROM also if I do that do I need to flash Magisk again or the device will be keep the Root ?
@Haldi4803 can you post the link of the TWRP as well ? There's many threads by nebrassy and they all seem old mine is the latest official and it doesn't work on miui 13 , I also heard of crdroid and derpfest ROMs for Poco x3 pro but I think they overheat much ? I didn't test so I'm just asking also what's the way to install a new ROM it seem little bit complicated but the ArrowOs thread doesn't explain all the steps in detail because I think it's for pro users I read on Google that there's way more steps to install a ROM
