Installation Guide:
1. Disable Secure Boot on the Surface's BIOS.
2. Disable BitLocker encryption (if enabled) on your drive.
3. Download the 64 bit installation files from RemixOS website.
4. Execute the tool that comes included with RemixOS named "Remix OS Installation Tool", in there select the download RemixOS iso and your USB drive/Hard Drive (where you prefer to install it) and select OK.
5. Boot the USB drive (if the installation was made on a USB) else reboot your Surface (if the installation was made on your Hard Drive).
6. Wait for the installation to complete and after a while the Setup Assistant will appear.

UPDATE:
Thanks to @MarkusP87 there is a RemixOS image that has Wi-Fi working on the Surface Pro 1 & 2.
Download link available in this Thread
UPDATE 2:
You no longer need to use a custom RemixOS image in order for Wi-Fi to work, the new version of RemixOS uses a different kernel that works with the Surface Pro.

No, this only works on the Surface Pro (x86) but not on the Surface RT (ARM).
Curious why the WiFi doesn't work. I have a Surface Pro 2 and it doesn't work in that either. If I have time, I'll try adding files for the WiFi patch in Sandman's Android-x86 thread.

I think SP and SP2's WiFi doesn't work with kernel 4.0.
Tried live booting it on my surface pro 1 and got stuck on the boot screen. Looks interesting though.
I got it running on my SP3 (i7, 256k). It runs hot. In all fairness, for me Andy emulator does also.
It uses native display resolutions, so things are pretty small (I can't for the life of me find the settings to change it).
Multi tasking is iffy at times for me. Sometimes the second program doesn't start. Still, it looks interesting. I would say that with tweaking the bugs will be worked out.

Hello,
because i can't see Surface Pro 2 in the list i'm here to confirm that the amazingly lovely and awesome RemixOS also runs very smooth and super stable on the Surface Pro 2.
Everything works except Orientation (Which i think is issued by RemixOS itself due PC Setups) and WiFi (which is broken since Kernel 4.X), Accelerometer also works (tested with Hills Climb Racing).
So the following is confirmed working:
Touchscreen
Touchcover
Accelerometer
Camera Front & Back
Audio
Headphones
Sleep
Bluetooth
Not working:
WiFi (authentification error since Kernel 4.X), i'm using a WiFi Adapter
Orientation (Portrait)

Ok to run remixos on a Surface 3 there are 2 options, direct from USB (follow simple remixos instructions to create). Then you need to switch your surface on holding down volume up button. When in EFI bios, disable secure boot. Save and restart. Once win10 has loaded up sign in and open up start>settings>update&security>recovery>advancedrecovery(restart now)
Select boot from USB when it restarts. Follow the standard RemixOS install routine. Once RemixOS has booted everything apart from touch screen should run fine and dandy (even the keyboard and touchpad). I have installed google play store and amazon underground and all apps appear to work fine.
The second option is to dual boot. To do this you again need to turn off the secure boot mode of your surface 3. This time when back in Windows 10, you need to use the RemixOS tool (downloaded with the OS) using this (as of 1st March 2016) you can choose to install to an internal HDD. In order to do this you need to partition your internal HDD with at least 5GB second partition formated in fat32. (to do this in "computer management" tool, you need to first schrink the primary partion a little inorder to "free up" some room. Create the new partion and format as fat32 you might also want to lable it "Android".) Once you have installed RemixOS on this partition using the RemixOS tool, you are prompted to reboot. Once your surface is rebooted you are given 2 boot choices, the default windows and the second RemixOS (note you have 26 seconds to decide before it boots to windows). If you choose RemixOS it starts its installation boot sequence. Once this is completed further boots are very much quicker. The only issue I have had with this second partition install is that sometimes the first install has problems opening some apps. If this happens, reinstall RemixOS within windows using the RemixOS app again. Once working, it stays working. Important last note, write down your bitlocker code before starting either of the above, as you will need to enter this code the first time you boot windows after turning off secure boot. Enjoy

KKMOD is ROM for the 8" imx515 tablet(1 or 2 speakers model) users based on the following original image (http://www.hiapad.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=83&extra=page=1)
Note that there seem to be 1 known model which seem to use a realtek wifi hardware. This rom will not have a working wifi for this model. There are also 1 to 2 users who have trouble flashing the new rom so try it at your own risk.

Performance seem to be good but I have to confess that I am not a heavy user so might not have fully tested all features.
This MOD is intended as a community project. If you have benefited from this ROM, do consider contributing back in your own ways. Simple things such as sharing what work for you and for which model of tablet will be useful for other users.
Download ROM(v2.2.3.r03)
Steps for upgrading to KKMod ROM
1. Download KKMod Romkit v1.2 and burn to CD/DVD
2. Bootup RomKit
3. Bootup tablet and connect usb cable to PC and Tablet
4. Flash KKMod Bootloader using Romkit (this is only required if you currently do not have the kkmod bootloader. If you upgrading to newer release of kkmod rom, goto step 6.)
5. Shutdown Tablet
6. Hold Power + BACK and power up(make sure the usb cable is still connected).
7. Flash KKMod Android ROM using Romkit
8. Reboot Tablet using Romkit

Additional Information:
G-sensor configuration:
The sensor is expected to work out of the box for single speaker model. If you should however encountered inverted/side inverted issue, you can tune the sensor position using build.prop.
ro.sf.gsensor.position(value can be 0,1,2,3) and ro.sf.gsensor.xy(value can be 0,1). Try around different combination of position and xy.
Default is 0 for both if you did not add the parameter.
Known working config:
- Default work for single speaker model
- ro.sf.gsensor.xy=1, ro.sf.gsensor.position=2 (confirm working for a few users on dual speakers model)
Setting Date/Time:
Only the setting the time will save the date/time into the right hardware clock. If you want to change the date only, you will still need to set the time.
Factory Reset:
It is recommended to do a one time factory reset when you first flash the ROM especially if you are upgrading from 2.2
Settings->Privacy->Factory Reset
If after upgrading the rom, you get into a bootloop and is unable to do factory reset. Connect to ADB while in bootloop and run "adb shell wipe data". Thanks alistassio for sharing

Install adb / fastboot drivers for the tablet
– Try this version first . 1.3 – http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 If it doesnt work . ( Like for me use 1.0) http://adbdriver.com/downloads/. Should work on windows 8.1 and windows 7
– Enable USB debugging and leave tablet on.
– Download SuperSU (http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu)
– Download IntelAndroid-FBRL (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95897840722644693)
– Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip to the tablet
– Uncompress IntelAndroid-FBRL on your computer
– Launch “launcher.bat” from IntelAndroid-FBRL folder ( Screen will be cyan if good )
– Type “ACCEPT”
– Check if device status and device information are OK, ( Screen should be cyan if ok and red if not. Refresh status by hitting enter. Remember if you get device status as unauthorised then go back to tablet and grant access. Screen will go cyan after if approval is given ) then type “T3″ the script will run . I got a fail at one point but it still booted in CWM.
– The tablet should reboot in fastboot mode, and after another auto-reboot, CWM recovery should show up
– Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip
– Wipe Cache . ( Can take a while be patient. )
– Reboot !

Thanks for this guide. Is there any alternative to the stock rom? Like Cyanogenmod or Miui? Can you also make a guide to restore to factory conditions? Thank you very much
As of now there isn't any Lollipop build for the device and I don't think it will be.

What is the reason for no rom? Intel does't released the kernel sources?
Sent from mTalk
Do you have a custom rom for Hi8?
I mean for example RemixOS, MIUI with multi-language.
Hi, my chuwi hi8 does not power ON and charge, etc. It just went down when I let it charge overnight and it does not turn ON anymore? Is there any thing that I did something wrong or maybe it any way that can fix the problem?
I already tried battery reset " remove solder of the red wire, wait and plug in the usb cable to see for direct power but unfornately nothing's happened. Return the red wire again but still no use.
Please help, I love this tablet but it appears to be of no use no more.
Thank you....:crying::crying:

Samsung Flow
Samsung Flow is a software product that enables a seamless, secure, connected experience across your devices. You can authenticate your Tablet/PC with your smartphone, share content between devices, and sync notifications or view contents from your smartphone on your Tablet/PC. You can turn on the smartphone's Mobile Hotspot to keep your Tablet/PC connected.
Requirements:
PC: Windows 10 with Bluetooth
Phone: Android 6.0+ with Bluetooth
Instructions:
Install modded APK normally
Download Windows 10 app
Open both apps and follow the steps to configure
Profit.
Bugs:
File transfer doesn't work (WiDi P2P Private API issue) [at least doesn't crash the app]
Smart View (Screen mirroring) doesn't work (WiDi P2P Private API issue) [at least doesn't crash the app]
NFC and Mobile Hotspot probably doesn't work (both might use Samsung functions inside Android framework)
Notification sync doesn't work (Private API issue)
What works:
The app opens (which was a really good progress)
TouchWiz UI is working fine
Connection with PC
Text messaging between PC and phone
Windows 10 unlocking with phone
Additional notes:
Please don't use this mod if you have an officially-supported Samsung phone (WiDi functions are disabled).
Fingerprint unlock requires Samsung Pass, which requires Knox to work. So, don't expect this to be available.
I had to disable the entire peer discovery function of WiDi to avoid crashes during file send. The file will show up, but the transfer will never start.
To send files, you need to have Samsung's My Files app, which wasn't ported (and never will be, because file transfer doesn't work).
Screenshots are attached.
Download
Great job! Will try it out.
Doesn't work on the Pixel 2 XL running Pie. It says on my PC enter passcode but nothing happens on my phone. It works with my Note 9 and worked with my S9+, the original not patched app.

Hi mweinbach,
I've experienced myself that issue with a Samsung phone (w/ the original app), simply trying again fixed the issue.
If you continue experiencing that, I suggest you to try unlinking your phone from your PC (and the PC from phone) in Bluetooth settings and try again (or even try linking them correctly before running it, although Flow does that fine).
It also works fine for me in a Mi A1 running the Pixel XL Pie's system.
And finally, if the issue persists, please grab me a logcat and I'm sorry that you're experiencing that.
Don't forget that Samsung Flow requires Windows 10 build 15063+ (Creators Update or newer).
Thank you!
Tried the app and it worked on my Pixel. I had to connect devices via Bluetooth beforehand, though.
OMG thankyou so much!! Finally!!
I expected it to be buggy. But wow. Works surprisingly well. I am using a Mi A1(stock rom). The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the smart view. But you already mentioned it. Unlocking windows 10 when your phone is running samsung flow is instant. Great work. Logged in after many years to thank you for the work. Kudos.

Yes, i have the same information; "Please update samsung flow to use it".
Update the App please
It said that I need to update the app
Can you upload the source to Github or something so we can help it get updated?
Hi, What manipulations did you carry out with the file?
working fine on my pixel as well
anyone has the exe setup for windows to try installing it on windows 7 64 ? i did this with other windows 10 apps and worked
Too old version, can't finish the configuration, can't connect.
Great job! But the version is too old, It said that I need to update the app.
Great job! But the version is too old, It said that I need to update the app. Could you provide us the repository for us to continue the project with a more update version?
I've read other posts, applied some of the suggestions, but have not been able to solve this issue. I have the current Mi Flash, I have added my account to Developer options, enabled USB debugging. added Mi account to Mi Unlock status, and oem unlock, I have turned off wifi and am using cell data. My Mi account is OK, Sim accepted. I hear the Windows notification when I plug in the phone. I don't see the phone in Explorer when I'm in bootloader. I do when the phone is not in bootloader. I have logged into Mi Account with my phone # and email address - same error either way.
Issue, I start Mi Flash and after signing in, this message briefly appears on the screen, "Checking if your Mi Account has permissions". This message disappears and then Mi Flash goes to the next screen. I follow the instructions to the letter and finally plug my phone (several times) in (it is bootloader). The Unlock button on the bottom stays grey.

I wait and wait and it doesn't change. I open settings, I click the button to install the drive - I get an error:
At this point I'm stuck. I'm not sure its a driver error - the phone connects to my laptop OK and I have been able to transfer files. MTP is set default to "Transfer Files" vs charging.
As an update, I found the Poco in Device Manager, Portable devices with the following driver:
I'm guessing that this might not be the correct driver, but am not sure.
I would appreciate help with this problem. I hate the bloat Miui serves up and would like to move on to a ROM that it simple and safe. Thanks
I can't unlock too
I'm still trying to figure this out and need help. I connect to the phone through USB OK. I can access it via file explorer as a drive labelled Poco X3 NFC. I can add files via explorer and search through the phone. However, I installed Mi Suite to check drivers and with the phone connected Mi Suite pops a screen that says connect to device to usb. It already is, but I unplug and plug back in anyways, same error then it changes to this:
So its odd that it connects to the PC but does not seem to connect to the internet or Mi Suite. Is there a better USB driver to use for this. I found a Qualcom driver V1 and an adb driver R-13 Windows.
Well you have the needed Windows driver than.
Check Windows app/system error messages for clues. You may be missing a MS library or such.

I'm on W7x64. Goggle it. It you use Windows you should have discovered this important system app within you first year.
Example:
Side by side errors used to be common; missing x64 MS library (you need 2, one for 32 bit and one for x64). Sometime the apk developer fails to included in their app software; they don't need as it was needed to code the app. To run the app and get full functionality on a 64 bit system you need both libraries; a simple download from MS.
Perhaps they are now included in the 64 bit OS's unlike the XPx64 days however it's also possible the file got corrupted or deleted if so.
This is the kind of critical information MS Event Viewer can show you. It records App/System/Security events with a time stamp.
OK, this is solved. This time I went through the unlock process on my wife's Win 10 laptop. Drivers loaded, windows setup the Poco. Same thing, greyed out unlock button. I clicked on the button to install the driver and this time the driver install completed, versus the error I posted above. The screen popped back to the Unlock screen, with the Unlock button live. I clicked on one confirmation screen after the other until I got the confirmation to wait 143 hours to unlock. Glad this frustrating event is over. Hope it works at 143 hours too. Of note, I did turn off wifi and used data to unlock. I read somewhere to do do that. No idea if it made a difference.
Yay! Windows can get funny about loading drivers sometimes. You just need to play with it a bit many times to resolve the issue.
Keep Event Viewer in mind though as it can show you errors that are slowing your system down, security issues and more.
Hello,
I bought the device "NaviFly-Autoradio Android 12, M6 Pro Plus 7862S 8 + 128GB 9.5inch" and "Media player frame with power cable and canbus box, 9 inches, for Alfa Romeo giuletta 2010 – 2014".
I have some problems:
1: I find that the screen quality is not great for the 2K, it is at the limit of the 1080P.
2: the quality of the launcher is really bad with some application that is displayed pixelated.
3: I especially have a second Bouygues Telecom 4g Sim card for mobile data sharing and it is not recognized by the device.
4: Steering wheel controls are not recognized.
5: Unable to insert my car logo.
6: Menus are not intuitive.
7: I feel that the bone is bridled.
Would anyone have a solution to solve the problem at least 4g or even the way to change rom? thank you.

Hello,
I bought the device "NaviFly-Autoradio Android 12, M6 Pro Plus 7862S 8 + 128GB 9.5inch" and "Media player frame with power cable and canbus box, 9 inches, for Alfa Romeo giuletta 2010 – 2014".
I have some problems:

Hello I will try my best and answer some of your questions. I have Mekede M6 Pro Plus
1) I am very happy with the unit's dispaly coming from a 1024x600 unit. AIDA64 says its indeed 2000x1200 but if you dont like it you dont like it, its a matter of taste. However if your unit is not faulty then this is the best dispaly you can currently get i think
2) well you can go in settings factory setting (code: 3368) and change the UI. Also you can find other UIs to download and install with usb method.
3) I have no expirience. I have ordered my extra sim for the car, once it arrives i will try it out. (live also in an EU country)
4) probably Canbus isnt configured. Go to settings factroy settings and there choose cabus and choose the brand and car type (mekede came with Rizen (RZ) canbus)
5) Tough cookie indeed, i also didnt succed alhough its possible. Probably you should flash it with the usb method, but havent looked into it too much. It must be noted, logo has to match the display screen reosultion and must be in BMP file format
6) Well its very subjective not sure what you mean but there is an app which can give you access to the real android settings with more options. and then there is quickshrotcutmaker with which you can create shortcusts for further access (like battery and autostart menu)
7) not sure what you mean.

Thanks for the directions. I’m seeing my mechanic next week for a look.
I’ve triggered a claim to get my money back if it doesn’t work.
I hope you succed. The mechanic if not expirienced with Adnroid Headunits and with FYT type of units might not be able to help you softwarewise but he can indeed check the mechanical parts and wiring for sure.

You need to do a hard reset for the unit to recognize the sim-card after install. i.e. push a pin into the reset hole.

No need of hard reset. But restarting the os is needed for sure.

Call it what ever you like, but use the pin and the reset hole and all will be fine.
