Depends on what kind of application I want. There are many good apps that are not on Play Store.

Hello,
i've flashed the custom rom from Thiaz, I had the 'Play Legacy' store installed, not the normal Play store.
I've opened it, and the only difference i can spot is the color, so my question is, what are the main differences and what are the benefits of that store?
Regards,
You can see purchased apps only in my apps, in normal play you will see all apps ever installed with that account (messy)..
However I think you cannot make new purchases in legacy play.

Are you talking about the Google Play store or the Google Play apps (Play Music, Play Books or Play Movies & TV)?

He's talking about Google Play Services. Go to the play store> free apps. it should be the top result. I saw the comments too, it is confusing.
Its to let android apps from the google play store integrate with g+ and other google accounts... its in the description of the app in the playstore........ the comments are from trolls who have nothing better to do....
M talking about GOOGLE PLAY SERVICE not STORE n all dat...

Hi,
Sometimes when I want to download and install some applications from the play store with my mobile (Huawei Honor2) or with my Tab(Asus TF101) I find this sentence "This Item isn't available in your country" or this "This app is incompatible with all of your device", I understand what does it mean but why the specific app is not available or incompatible while my devices have good technical specifications so is there is any way that I can download Apps that I want from the store without search them as an apk file from the google? Any ideas or do u have any tricks that can climb over this silly requirements from the play store!
Regards.

Its because some apps have put country restrictions for example: Google Voice which works only in US I guess and other apps like Netflix, Movies by Flixster etc. all have this country restrictions. There was an app called "Market Unlocker" which bypasses this restriction, but I believe Google has taken down that app from the Play Store. Anyways some other modes of Market Unlocker methods remains at XDA, which claims to work. Use Google and you'll get the results about it.
Hy guyz;
I am telling u a trick to unlock play store just in 2minutes...
Requirements:
1) Rooted Android phone
2) Market Enabler App
3) Droid VPN
Procedure:
1) Install Market Enabler From play store
2) Install Droid VPN from play store
3) First open market enabler and choose any Network ....As a example take T-Mobile and Click fake this provider; then exit this app
4)Open DroidVPN and Signup! and Connect With any USA server; this will fool google that u are using this from usa
5) Now go to Settings>Location & security> untick the option (use wireless networks)
6) Open Play store and u will be greeted with USA play store....

Not working if your Google account is already locked to a country as discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2169261&page=3
Just tested it and its a nogo
But it works easily with those whose gmail accounts are not locked to a specific country !

Market enabler, is it really needed ? Or the country change only with droidvpn ?
Envoyé depuis mon GT-I9300
Yes it is also required to fake the provider

We have to do it again after reboot ?

Method Not working
Two things:
1) This is pretty much the same method lots of us used before Google changed something that locked our main account to one, non-USA, country. This method required the tunnelling of your network traffic to get an USA located IP address, usually combined with a USA SIM card or, using MarketEnabler (or similar functionality app) to make the phone/tablet believe you had an USA operator SIM card.
For the former (ip address) part, I used TOR/ Orbot app on my rooted Nexus devices.
2) I just did exactly as you described WITH the apps you state as required and it is a no-go. It didn't work, the behavior is exactly as when I tried it the way I described in point 1 above.
Obviously with new accounts or those that have never had CC info or country info this may work but, this is not what deal want. We need it to work with our main Android accounts wherever we are.
My 2 cents
This trick is working with some people..
Or if u want to unlock another way is to use a USA gmail account

Yes u have to do it again each time you reboot phone

So, am I the only one that has a US credit card attached to my account, but can still jump between markets?
(Also, is there an actual way to verify EXACTLY what market you're in by name/country code/ID/etc?)

i found the easier way root or no root, just download simple vpn like tor orbot or avast vpn, run it set to US, force stop google play store, next clear data n cache for both google play store n google play service. then open the play store. there, u got the US google play store until u stop the vpn or reboot your device
Hello, is there a way I can make a name for my device so that when downloading apps on the Google Play Store, I can recognize it quicker. For instance, I own a Chinese tablet and when I try to download some apps on Google Play, it displays all the device that I have. However, when comes to the tablet, it will only show the model name of the tablet and the name of the manufacturer remains unknown. For example, Unknown Core4. Therefore, I would like to know that if there is a way that I could make a name for the device so that it will display on Google Play and other Google Service. Thanks.

Hi,
If you go to the google play store on a desktop select the gear button on the right. (just under your username). Select Devices.
You will be diverted to a seperate browsertab with a google maps interface. There you will be able to find your devices (if they have GPS) and also rename them.
Good luck
