Capacitive Buttons acting like Softkeys - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i have a question regarding the capacitive buttons on my OPO. Is there any way to do these things with the capacitive buttons:
* On/off like navbar visible/invisible: Like in Youtube, when a video is fullscreen, the navbar disappears. The capacitive should match the visible/invisible status of the navbar.
* Set the brightness of the cap. buttons to match screen brightness.
Btw im on CM12.1.
Thanks for the help!

I use a xposed module called Chromepie to use Chrome always in fullscreen (hide the button and navbar like on YouTube). But obviously it works only in Chrome. For me it's enough Chrome in fullscreen..

only tasker with secure settings and root privillege can simulate this
set up secure settings and tasker
pick apk from profile
secure settings plugin
Actions
Device settings
Secure
dev navbar option
on or off
will exactly do what you describe

[Q] EOS4 navbar

I want to hide the bottom navbar in EOS4. But, without the home and back keys, I cannot navigate around applications (I do not have a dock). I saw somebody mentioned "soft buttons", is that an app or a setting? I cannot find either.

You can set up gestures or a pie control for the soft keys.
Another option: GMD Gesture Control

I totally second LMT/PIE. It's completely customizable and feels more like a second launcher. I don't use the gestures, just the PIE part.

[mini GUIDE] Go Immersive with Edge navigation - NO ROOT

First of, you need to enable full immersive (hide both navbar and status bar) via ADB command described in this article
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...re-screen-real-estate-no-root-needed-0177297/
Then go to Edge screen settings and download/install Softkey Edge application. For convenience, order the Softkey edge to be first.
Let me know how it goes.
Nice!.... I will try
I tried this and while I like the full immersion I have to wonder if there's really a reason for the edge navigation since the soft keys already show back up if you swipe up from the bottom.
I went with toggle immersive mode remapped on my bixby button..
it's better since we'll have quick option/action to turn on and off the immersive mode.

They probably used either BixBye or bxActions (or some other equivalent) but I have found that those apps cause scrolling lag/dropper frames when granted accessibility rights. I used a combo of GMD Immersive Mode and Navigation Layer and found it worked pretty well without lag issues.

well I made the toggle immersive app using tasker and autotools since I have them.
(in tasker select plug-in > autotools > secure settings > display > immersive mode)
then use bixby remapper app to launch it, just choose one that works for you.
at first I used bixbye app to remap bixby button, but it's accessibility rights and usage
broke my one hand mode setting.
then I use Bixby remapper that still has old accessibility rights mode (without swipe rights)
and it's working fine.. I don't see any scrolling lag .
definitely cool. easy to do. figer sensor also works to bring down the notification panel so I just did the notification. I like my Nav bar.
well I reverted.. this breaks Google voice typing. and Whatsapp looks all broken.

Nav-bar button to hide the nav-bar

Hey Guys,
I want to find a way to show an extra button on my nav-bar to hide my nav-bar. I am watching for a solution for like 2 month and still didn't find a way to do it.
I tried 'Custom Navigation Bar' where I can activate an immersive mode but the nav-bar is auto hiding after some seconds and I don't want that. You can add extra buttons to the nav-bar in this App but I don't know any Keycode which hides the nav-bar. Is there even a Keycode who does this?!?
I can't believe that I can't find a solution to this problem I found apps who can hide the nav-bar and I found apps who can add extra buttons to the nav-bar. all of this without root. But how to combine this? Anyone?
Ty for your time
Greetings Mr 305
using custom nav bar:
1.
Create a new profile (called mine "immersive") check change immersive settings, hide which ever you want
add button (i used left), type = toggle profile, select immersive profile, i set icon to chevron up.
2.
go back to main screen, click nav bar, change immersive mode yes, but keep nav and status bar unchecked.
add same button, type = toggle profile, select immersive profile, I set the icon to chevron up.
This will give you a button that toggles between immersive and non immersive profiles, you can obviously make other changes to the main screen and profile seperately
Ty sir!!! Works like a charm

Hide Navigation Button

Hi, is anyone knows how to hide the nav button on home screen? I don't want to use the navigation gesture as the animation is really weird for me. I'm fine with hiding the nav button, but the button is still there on the home screen.
I have a rooted OP6 with Magisk.
You could use gravitybox xposed, it has option for expanded desktop
What i do is enable gestures in the settings to get rid of the navigation bar, but instead of using the oneplus gestures, i use gesture control from the app store to set up an almost transparent pill. I find i like this better as opposed to just running expanded desktop all the time, because when the keyboard pops up, the nav bar does not come with it.

[APP][5.0+] Easy Slider - Edge gestures to control volume, brightness and launch apps

Adjust volume, brightness and launch apps with edge swipe gestures any time.
Easy Slider enables the easiest and most comfortable way to adjust volume and brightness of your device when browsing videos or playing games. It also lets you launch your favorite apps or switch to recent apps effortlessly.
No need to use physical buttons or notifications panel to change the volume or brightness from one video to another; place your device off your hands or hold it with one hand, you can increase or decrease the volume instantly by just a single swipe or set brightness easily on any screen and any time you want. What's more, you can launch pinned or recent apps from the new advanced slider menu easily.
Easy Slider allows performing swipe actions on selected side of the screen. It displays an overlay over other apps, which is always available when the screen is unlocked (except while some system apps which display over of the overlay are open in the foreground).
You can start using Easy Slider with the default settings, but if you want to modify the app according to your preferences, you can change every parameter you need from the configurations.
Features of Easy Slider:
Always available overlay area for swipe detection
Quick swipe up/down to increase/decrease volume by desired steps
Hold after swipe to show volume slider for specific adjustment. Continue holding and swipe to set volume.
Swipe up/down and then inwards to mute/unmute volume
Double tap and swipe up/down to adjust brightness. Double tap and swipe inwards to toggle auto/manual mode.
(New in v2.70) Swipe up followed by down, or down followed by up to set volume to your defined preset level
Swipe inwards to display advanced slider. Pin apps to quickly launch them. See recent apps and switch easily.
(New in 3.00) Apply custom icon packs, set matching menu icon style
Alternative way to set volume and brightness on advanced slider
Transparent display of the swipe area with adjustable opacity and color
Configurable swipe area position and offset for both portrait and landscape orientations
Configurable swipe area width and height
Suitable for left and right hand usage
Single hand usage
Volume increase and decrease steps, min and max levels adjustable
Enable/disable service
Auto start on boot if left enabled
No battery usage
Tip: If you start by swiping up/down, it's volume gesture; if you start with tap and then swipe, it's brightness gesture.
Apart from these, don't forget that swiping inwards shows the advanced slider menu.
Notes:
Display over other apps permission is required for this app to run. It allows the app to stay and register touches on top of other apps. You can follow the "Initialize the app" menu to enter the related setting.
Although this app doesn't use any battery in the background, disabling battery optimization may be necessary depending on your system. It's highly recommended to disable battery optimization for this app to prevent it from being stopped by the operating system. You can follow the "Initialize the app" menu to enter the related setting.
This app may not work as expected on devices with edge display. You may need to increase swipe area width to high values, which means using more of the screen as overlay.
The main focus of this app is to let the user adjust the volume (and brightness) using gestures which do not become tiresome after some use. Later, other features have been added.
How to start using the app?
Just follow the toast notification instructions. (Enter "Initialize the app" menu, grant permissions, press the Start floating button. Then I suggest you check out the other configuration menus to adjust the app according to your preference.)
What are the available gestures?
The screens and video on Play Store page shows every available gesture and feature.
Get it on Google Play Store
Reserved.
Just upping as the app improved a lot more since the last post. If you have suggestions let me know.
