Why was AC3 removed from MX Play? Not happy they did that. IMO it's the most STUPID thing they've done.
Just downgrade, nothing really changed.

is there an app that would allow me to play lossless audio like flac? if not.. what format should i convert it to in order to maintain that quality?
or would wave.. be the only option to keep that quality?
PowerAMP is the only player I've encountered that can play FLAC, and the poor UI stops me from using it https://market.android.com/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&feature=related_apps
Once we're rooted though, I'm told Cyanogenmod builds in FLAC support. Android 3.1 is the first version to officially build it in.

Poor UI ? Really ?
I say PowerAmp is THE music app. Fully customizable EQ, flac support and much, much more. I have used it for over a year now and love it. Never listen to someone that says someone else told them. (quoted poster)

Just came across another option listed in a different thread. AudioGalaxy is free, plays flac, and allows streaming all your music from your PC to your phone. I just set it up and it's very cool. Worth checking out.
I had a moment and found the discussion I had read previously regarding FLAC support in Cyanogenmod. It's there, as long as your FLAC files are 16-bit.

Has anyone got VLC player on HTC ChaCha working?
There were 2 different versions. Find the 2 .apks and test them both. One of them should work.

If you have MXPlayer and MoboPlayer you are sorted! What MxPlayer doesnt play Mobo does and vice versa. Its hard for me to pick which one is better but I think more people prefer MXPlayer. For MoboPlayer make sure you install ARMv6VFP Codec for it! Plays absolutely anything. Video loads using hardware and software rendering! Also has pop-up video play which means you can multitask to an extent while video is still playing! Although the screen size is a limitation on this!
I have installed BS player.. trying to play the video file below and it says unsupported format.
Radha Madhu - Radha Madhu Episode 100 from you tube.
I have installed adobe flash already(11.1 version). I am new user here and the forun doesn't allow me to paste url. Please help.
Try using the official app. If that doesn't work, then it's not compatible with mobile.

Found solution to my problem. All players (youtube/bs /mx and stock ) say unsupported format. The real issue these videos are not allowed to play on mobile.
I found the workaround is switch to desktop mode.

Thank you both for your insight.
Does the official app actually play videos in 1080p?
Anybody know? The only one I found so far is MX player.
Did you try PlayerPro?

Hey, I was using MX player Pro build 1.9.3 without any issues.
Today it updated to 1.9.5 from Play Store.
Since the update, I cannot play any video that contains a WMV1 or WMV3 video stream.
The player tries HW decoder, then SW, then gives an error:
"This video format (wmv3) is not supported."
All those videos used to play back perfectly in the past up to (and including) build v1.9.3.
What's going on...?
I'm on Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. I launch videos using ES File Explorer.
This setup has worked absolutely flawlessly in the past for WMV files or AVI files containing WMV video tracks.

Message itself clear. Looks like MX Player has dropped support for some more codecs.
May be yet another patent issue. Anyhow, Custom Codec will work as usual with all codecs.
Not happy with this either. Especially for an app I paid for.
Hopefully just a bug they will fix.

Use Mango player apk , it's supports all type of formets
Dear jguy, the solution you supplied doesn't work. I followed it to the letter. Version 1.9.3 was flawless. I'm sorry I upgraded. I'm a paying user. I use my tablet to make a living. I use video to teach English. Not being able to employ my collection of WMV3 files blows a hole in my resource collection. If only I could reinstall 1.9.3.

You sure you picked the right version for your device? It worked for me with a Pixel xl. Also, not my solution, just provided a link for a previous post a few up.
MX player no longer plays WMV3

Sorry, the solution provided doesn't work. Right code for my Lenovo tablet is ARM7 neon: installed. I'd just like to go back to 1.9.3.

Restart app, restart tablet, reinstall app & codec: did everything. Letting it go. Installed media player classic, works, end of trouble.

Thanks for this, worked like a charm!
For anyone else, I originally tried the codec from the Play Store and didn't work. I uninstalled it and downloaded the custom codec from the link above and installed thru the app and works perfectly.
