Samsung Rooting Questions - General Questions and Answers

I have a MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. Yesterday I successfully rooted my new toy and restarted my phone. I then got a "Custom binary is locked by FRP" message and couldn't get in my phone so I Odined the stock firmware and I'm able to use it now. However, I would really like to root my phone. I went into Dev Options and enabled OEM unlock. I want to root but I don't want to get that FRP mess again. Do you guys know how I can root without locking my phone again? Thanks.

[Q] Need help with warranty please.

Verizon just offered to replace my brother's S3 to an S4 due to a charging issue. The binary counter shows 1 so he might get charged for the S4.
When he was on 4.2, I rooted and attempted to flash a custom recovery, which failed with a Verizon message. Since then he received the 4.3 update which made him lose root.
I am having him use saferoot to regain root so he can use TriangleAway to reset the flash counter...
On OP it says
"Samsung Galaxy S3 Verizon UNLOCK BOOTLOADER"
Does this mean I won't be able to do it unless we unlock the bootloader? Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get this thing back to where Verizon won't know anything was done?
Thanks!!

[Q] "Custom ROM" Displayed on Boot

Months ago, before the 4.3 OTA, I attempted to unlock the bootloader and root my wife's Galaxy SIII on vzw. The phone seemed to be bricked, but I was able to recover it using one of the available unbrick utilities. From that point forward, on boot it displays "Custom ROM", but is not rooted and I cannot boot into recovery at all. To make things worse, my wife accepted the 4.3 OTA before I could warn her not to and it has since upgraded to 4.4.2 OTA. Is there any option to still unlock the bootloader, or are we stuck? Also, if I can't unlock and root the phone, I would like to be able to return it to stock, but nothing so far has worked.

Resurrecting the SM-T217A now that it has a working root.

Ok, finally after all this time, the AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T217A) can be properly rooted. I have been playing with it since that moment my binaries were finally updated properly. However, several questions remain since i am still learning this stuff.
First, since root it installed, i want to flash a custom recovery, but the problem is that the bootloader is locked, that being the issue that had it unrootable for so long. So a) is there a method using terminal emulator to unlock the bootloader so i can flash a recovery of my choosing or b) is there a way to flash the recovery that bypasses the bootloader.
Second, AT&T decided to make the genius move of also locking the Tab 3's (7.0 variant anyways) native phone and dialer app. The Tab 3 is able to function as a phone, but AT&T really made a mess by locking up, and over bloating the hell out of this device.
Third. I want to install the XFramework, but read that there can be issues with that and locked bootloaders. Help please, i really don't want to shoot brick my tablet. There are more questions, so ill just add to this thread later if anyone else can help me fix these issues
How did you root it ? Do you have instructions ? Also looking for answer to boot loader myself.
Thanks
Steve

Will unrooting break the unlock on my Samsung J7 Pro?

I got my Samsung J7 Pro 2017 (SM-J730F) unlocked at a local store recently, and I noticed that when the phone was returned to me, it was not only unlocked but rooted as well. The SuperSU app was also installed. Because of the root, certain apps and features do not work on the phone any longer (Snapchat, Pokemon Go, and S Health, to name a few). There is a permanent unroot option in SuperSU and I really want to unroot so that I can use them again, but is it safe for me to unroot? Will my phone retain its unlocked state or will it go back to being locked?
Here's some more info about my phone that may help:
It was bought in another country and sent to mine, and a SIM from my country triggered the lock.
The phone worked normally (except for the fact that it couldn't use the SIM) before I had it unlocked.
My phone needed a code to be unlocked, but I'm not sure if the technician at the store used a code, or if he unlocked it through another method.
I used the phone already before getting it unlocked, but when it was returned to me, it had been factory reset.
As far as I know, no other apps/tweaks had been installed aside from SuperSU.
Thank you!

Help about rooting J7 Pop

I have Sm j727s and I want to root it with cf auto root. And it says I have to unlock bootloader. How can I do that?
It's a common problem.
These phones have the bootloader locked by the carrier somehow that we can't access it and toggle the ability to turn the bootloader on or off so it can be removed and rooted.... Sigh... I've worked so hard towards figuring this out for two weeks. Looking non freaking stop man. I just don't think it's possible. Let me know if you figure it out or w.e.
