D850 Wifi sparadically won't turn on and random rebooting - AT&T LG G3

Randomly my D850 stopped being able to turn on Wifi or Bluetooth. They icons would cycle and the battery would drain very quickly. Neither AT&T nor LG were much help since I am out of warranty. I rooted the device and tries re-installing the stock ROM and several other ROMs only to solve the Wifi issue and have a new issue with the phone shutting down every few minutes.
Now I'm back on the stock ROM. Sometimes the phone will be able to turn on Wifi and will connect to by Wifi. Then, after a short while, it will shut down and will not restart until the batter is pulled. When it does restart the Wifi will cycle to turn on again. Also, when the Wifi will not connect there is no available MAC address.
Any help would be appreciated.

I hv the same problem with my Lg g3 D855. Sometimes when i restart my phone, the wifi is working.. but the phone will shut down itself suddenly..... guys please help
Also I have tried to root and it didnt work, I dun want to factory reset my phoneeee>>>>>>

Same has been happening to me, at first I had a bad battery so I thought that had something to do with it, but now that it has been replaced, it still keeps happening. I was going to take my phone apart, but I see others are having this so it's a software issue? Factory reset didn't work

Most of the time it is the battery somtime a restore tot method fizes it old files build up change kernals and keep same app in my case like triskster when u change kernals these implement the same settings u had on old kern which may not be compatible but sometime a good fresh tot restore helps a lot and give that new phone smell. You can try booting to safe mode to see if its rouge apps or setups but u have to run ssafe mode for a couple hours not just 2 min and say it didnt work. A lot of people do. Now in ure cases it wouldnt take long but in battery drain cases needs to be run for a while

As for first case if ure still not rooted software can still break even on stock unrooted.

Had the same issue. I flashed a ROM out of desperation and it's been fine ever since

I will encounter this problem for three time no matter which rom or which version of android i am using.because i have encounter this problem in many roms

it's a common issue, not sure if just with GB, the problem with this is that your battery drains too fast when this happens
just check if the phone warms up if so u have an issue then just restart
lg has not told anything about this issue, they thinkg it's an specific issue from one carrier's fw but it looks like it's in general with GB, my old x10 had the same issue but no battery drain
But i have this issue when i using froyo. Now i am using froyo but have this issue two times a days. Its very annoying to me yo know

There isn't any real solution. It happens to me as well as to other people (search the O3D threads here and you'll find many reporting the same), no matter if you have Froyo or GB.
However, in my case it doesn't happen two times a day but less often. It never occurs when I wake up my phone and wifi reconnects. It only happens when I turn on/off the airplane mode (but not all the times).
Do you have this issue when the phone is waking up normally (with the wifi always on) or when you turn on/off the airplane mode or turn off/on the wifi manually?

if only occur in turning on/off the airplane, it will be fine for me as i seldom use the airplane mode. however, the issue occur when i turn on or off the wifi manually. i have tried to turn off and on the wifi repeated ten times when the phone restart, i have no problem. however, after i close the wifi for about 1 or 2 hour and enable again, it sometime have the problem when i switch on the wifi. i really have no ideas why this problem will occur.
Well when you turn the wifi on/off manually, I guess that it's the same thing (for the wifi connectivity) like turning on/off the airplane mode manually, so it causes the same problem.
Do you have this issue when you just wake up your phone (with wifi on)? If so, you could keep your wifi always on when you outside from home/work. If it's not connected it doesn't consume much battery.

when the wifi problem happens, i must reboot the phone manually, then the wifi will switch on automatically after the phone has rebooted. however, i discover that, wifi drain battery very much when compare to just open 2G network alone, therefore, i would like to close wifi when i just put it to standby. i think this is not a real solution and i have this problem two time a day. it is very annoying actually.
thank you for your reply!!!
I posted this already in thread i started labeled not too clearly http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1519436
It's a process called tiwlan_wq which starts using cpu @ 48% constantly and drains battery quickly.
No idea how to solve this i've kept the wifi at standard setting of off when phone is in standby or even on always but this occurs randomly.
I thought new v20g rom would have sorted out some issues but no and i'm dead bent on selling this POS LG phone.

[Q] Anyone's phone disconnecting from wifi and freezing up for a few seconds?

I'm having this problem on my tmobile s6 where my phone screen will freeze randomly but it only happens anytime i lose connection to wifi. When the phone unfreezes, it always shows that I now connected to my wifi network. Am i the only one experiencing this. Im on xtrestolite rom (tmo version) , stock kernel
Did you ever find a solution to this?
My Verizon Galaxy s6 started doing this randomly 2 days ago. While looking at the wifi screen, it will toggle itself off and then back on, sometimes as much as every 20 seconds. If i'm in an app the whole phone hangs and becomes unresponsive for 10 seconds or so. Seems fine when it isn't actually connected to wifi.
I haven't updated or added apps recently. I tried a factory reset and it seemed fine, but when I put all my stuff back on the phone it started doing it again.

Nexus 5 WiFi Crashing Phone

Hi all. I have a weird issue that after Googling it doesn't seem anyone else has had.
The issue started earlier today, in the morning. I was using my phone on the WiFi and it was working phone, then my phone crashed, restarted itself.
I noticed it wasn't connected to the WiFi, went to the WiFi settings and where it usually says the list of networks it said "Turning on WiFi" and the slider at the top was greyed out so I couldn't turn it off.
I tried airplane mode and that didn't help. But the phone was working fine on my mobile data so restarted.
Now the weirder part starts. I basically have an issue where, if I turn on the WiFi, my phone crashes, or doesn't act like it's turning the WiFi on.
Even going Settings and then pressing on the WiFi option freezes the phone.
The problem started when I was still using 4.4.4 however since the problem developed I've used my mobile data to download the updates and now have 5.1.1 I think.
The problem persists even after updating to the most recent version and doing a factory restore. The phone is currently completely stock with nothing downloaded on to it. All I did is go through the first time setup for the device.
The WiFi currently is off, and the phone is working however it won't connect to my data, it has the signal bars and then an ! instead of a 4G icon.
If I try to turn the WiFi on it crashes the phone.
The phone is still under warranty so I plan on contacting LG on Monday however it's currently 3:34 AM on a Sunday so I have a day until I can call them and was hoping for a solution in that time.
Thanks in advance. I have the phone to hand so anything you want me to test I'm able to.
There is some information I didn't type as I don't know what is important was trying to avoid a wall of text so if you have any more questions I'll answer I best I can.
Thanks for reading, I hope you can help!

Oreo update broke wifi

Updated to Oreo today. Everything seemed fine but I've noticed that the wifi is now intermittent to the point of uselessness. The wifi will show connected, but will stop passing data after 10 seconds or so. Sometimes it recovers and sometimes it doesn't. I can disconnect and reconnect to get it started again, but it goes right back into the problem in another 10 seconds.
Things I've tried that did not fix the problem:
1. Rebooting phone
2. Rebooting router
3. Forgetting and reconnecting to wifi
And in combo: Forget wifi, reboot phone, reboot router, reconnect
So it's not a settings or "stale" connection issue. It's definitely something in the update that messed up the wifi driver somehow. It's completely useless now; I have to use mobile data all the time to get anything done.
I usually don't like to update OTA but tend to wait till the full firmware is available and I then flash my phone this way its got no conflicts, the latest firmware I can find for oreo is G950USQS2CRB9 so you might find the download and try flashing it, might help, wouldn't hurt anything to do it to see if that will fix any wifi issues.
It not solve the problem and many people have the issue on different forums

WiFi connect/disconnect loop after MIUI 11.0.1 update

I updated a family members Redmi 6 to MIUI 11 and it's developed a WiFi issue. that I can't seem to fix.
Basically, I turn on WiFi and it connects like normal but then several seconds later it will disconnect, but then it'll immediately reconnect as normal. It will do this connect then disconnect in a loop without ever staying connected.
I've restarted the phone, reset the WiFi settings on the phone then rebooted and reset my router all with no luck.
My Moto G7 Plus along with a laptop, several google home devices and a few other WiFi stuff all work just fine so I can't seem to figure out what's wrong.
The only thing I've not done yet is a full phone reset, I would need to do a backup before I try that but not sure what is the best way to do it.
Here is a video of what my issue is.
I've also posted on the MI community but hoping someone here can help me out.
