Hey guys.
I stumbled upon this today and thought it look great
http://phandroid.com/2015/10/15/how-to-diy-custom-clear-back-cover-samsung-galaxy-s6-note-5/
Just wondered if anyone has done this with their S6?
and if so how did you go about re-attaching the glass after?

But now that ive got that screen off and bought a new screen, what type of sticky adhesive do i get to put the new glass on? and where do i get it? does anyone know?

Has it ever occur to you that no one else here have done it?
It's not an everyday thing to swap out glass on a tablet, not like you can boot into recovery and do it.
Anyhow try a glass specialty store or even an electronic/pc repair place.
yea i know haha sorry, its just theres people online that say they have done it, just not how anyways thanks so much for the reply, i dont think ive ever heard of a glass specialty store, do you know the name of one?

Silicone. It'll stick it down for sure. Might not be able to ever take it off again with out breaking other stuff though.

Hey guys,
I really want to change the original plastic back cover. Wouldn't it be nice if it would be real carbon-fiber, wood, metal or something more .... I think you know what i mean.
Do you know where to buy such back cover?
Thank you

so my last phone broke with a very small drop in a case, so i decided to just go the skin route for scratch protection and customizability. I Just put it on, it was a long process but I like how it came out. Let me know what you think. Feel free to ask questions

I was torn too, I have the black on the edges and I like it too. But that white though
This vid shows how easy and simple it seems to take apart and peel the back cover although it's on another language. Just wondering has anyone done it already. Looks kind of cool

watch the jerry rig everything teardown. he does the same to his device. you will probably lose any water resistance though since you are tearing up the adhesive strip that holds the back panel on.
Get a case with a clear back, and have a custom skin made with the insides.
Put the skin on the back of the phone and the case on top.
They'll sell it on witrigs soon enough for like $45US

That would kinda work although it's too easy and fake.
I probably will if I break my back plate, because at that point, why not? I did it to my Samsung S8+, and loved it.
I won't be removing the back of the phone just to do it though. I prefer water resistance.

I'll post pictures once I receive them (could take awhile based on Slick Wraps history)
I just want to share with you my favorite modification to the OnePlus 7 Pro. I love transparent phones and this is what I did with mine.
I am going to replace the tape for glue but I wanted to show you how it looks.
Very cool ? Enjoy that 7 Pro!

Thanks! I also have a transparent Note 9. They should offer all the phones that way.
Hello jerryrigeverything,
Did it scratches at level 6, with deeper groves at level 7 ?

Zhanlida T-7000. It is black and it is very similar to the original. I prefer black because it does not turn yellow with light.
Do you have one to recommend me?

You think it's still water proof?
That looks really cool! But did you strip down a nebula blue model? That pains me internally lol but hey, it DOES look good!

This guy used double sided tape but only mentioned dust, never said liquid. Ballsy move.

No. It is not waterproof anymore, but if I apply the glue very carefully I can seal it as much as possible. I just love the way it looks.

Yes. It is the 12gig model. I tried to resist my impulse but at the end I couldn't. I am really happy with the final result. I looks fantastic.

My Note 9 has glue and I was very careful applying it. I can not assure you that it is 100% waterproof but it has received humidity from rain, wet tables, etc and I have not had a single problem. I gave it to my brother and he loves it. I think that being carefull it can be waterproofed.
Jerryrigeverything and the other guys who make transparent phones just do it to show but not for daily use. I am confident that my phones are sealled. Time will tell but the note 9 has been transparent por months and is perfect.

Yes. I saw it but I preferred the original look. It would be great if the original battery color was red but I do not want to touch the battery.
OP, I have a quick question. Isn't there some sort of black "card" that covers the motor for the front camera? I think it contains the NFC antenna.
Did you lose any functionality (other that waterproofing) by doing this? I only ask because, once I break my back glass (and I'm sure I will eventually), I'll probably do this as well.
Looks good btw.

I removed the black cover to be able to show the camera motor and the board. I just lost NFC which I never use. Everything else works as expected.
In a couple of days I will post new pictures with the back glass glued and I think that I can make it waterproof again or at least splash resistant.

It was never water proof.
It was mildly water resistant. An not now.
