(REVIEW) Tronsmart 2 port Quick Charge 2.0 Wall Charger*
I received this Tronsmart 2 port Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger for free in exchange for an honest review.
Look/Feel
First impressions were very good. The charger was packed well and came with two good quality micro usb cables. The actual charger has a good sturdy feel and seems to be made well and out of quality materials. The black and green colors are nice to look at.
If I have one complaint, it is the placement of the plug/jacks. With the current placement, the unit with a usb cable plugged in sticks out from the wall a minimum of 4.5” making it less than idea for direct wall plug in behind a shelf/nightstand etc. A right angle outlet adapter will remedy this, or plug into a surge protector where its slim factor only takes up one slot. Not a deal breaker as a surge protector is a good idea anyway for your $700 cell phone.**
Performance
The two phones I own that accept quick charging immediately recognized the charger and indicated the phones were “Fast Charging” just like with the OEM units. I tried three different phones and using the Tronsmart voltage tester, I recorded the following MAX volts/amps with the screen off.
- LG v10 :***9.09V/1.70A
- Samsung Note 4:**8.98V/1.59A
- Moto Droid Mini:***5.11V/1.24A
So the charger with Volt IQ did a good job of recognizing the phone and applying an appropriate amount of power. I found that it charged my LG v10 as fast as or maybe slightly faster than the OEM charger.
Overall impressions are excellent, I would buy this product. It is well made, did not get hot, performs great and looks nice. I see the 5 port desktop version in my future as we have a handful of phones and tablets in our household and it would also be perfect for travel.
Based on the Amazon reviews alone, I'd say Tronsmart is here to stay.

Well i bought tronsmart car charger 2 port with QC in one port and work great and inexpensive. But only one thing that i wish it has. Led or indicator if it is working or not. and maybe indicator if the gadget fully chargr or not.
I was just thinking about getting one of the car chargers from them also. (saw a coupon on slick deals)
Nice to see a review of something from the brand.

Ya I have that one too at work. I also have a bunch of their smaller QC 2.0 chargers. They all work very well.
5-port wall charger is good as well from Tronsmart

I bought the one that is a 5-port wall charger, it was on sale for $24 at Amazon, may still be there. It really does recognize what the optimal charging should be and delivers accordingly. Good buy.
Just checked and the promotion is over. Coupon expired. ?

Unfortunately not. I received it to test output, but it does not come with the wall charger.

Ordered a FUZ dock. It has a couple of thicknesses of the pad, so I am going to see if it will work with my soon to be Pure. Will post.
Interested in the results. I was hoping to find one that works with the Pure.
I think i'm just going to design and print one after my phone gets here Wednesday. Wish I had exact dimensions before it got here.
I hope that the Seidio dock for my S4 will work with the XPE.
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-desktop-charging-cradle-kit-p/bd3-crdssx1.htm
Connector is in the right direction
Compatible with with: LG Nexus 4 / Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 2, Skyrocket, Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S II (AT&T, T-Mobile, International), Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note, Google Nexus S, Google Nexus S 4G / Motorola Moto X (2013)
My Sinjimoru Dock works great. I had to use a USB to Micro USB adapter to connect the charging cables but it recognizes the super charger just fine.

I have been using this dock for some days now. And it has been working great for me also. I also have mine plugged into a Motorola Turbo Charger 15 wall wart. It shows as TurboCharging when connected. So the cable has to be USB 2.0.

You have to pair it with last year's Motorola Turbo Charger brick. It won't do it by itself.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
I see. I did pair it with a charger that does give me turbo when connected directly. But it seems to lose turbo once I put the cradle in between by phone and my quick charger. I will try with another charger I have and see if I get better results.
Do you have a link for the one you can confirm works for you?

Try docking with the screen unlocked. You should see the TurboCharge message show up. It's been working for me with the dock and 15 TurboCharge wall plug.
You can also try docking with the device totally off. You will see the TurboCharge message for sure then.
And of course, the device has to be below 100% charged when trying.
You sirs are correct. Getting Turbo through the craddle.
Thanks!!!
Anyone know if the Belkin dock with fit with a Supcase one?
My dock from Seidio works fine and passes thru turbo charging
I have a seidio surface case and would like to get a charging dock
Are you guys using cases with the docks you are recommending?
I thought I'd share as they finally got delivered. Still says it will be delivered on the 13TH of next month...
Orzly® Multi-Colour Value Pack of USB 2.0 Type C (USB-C) to Type A (USB-A) Cables (1M) for use with OnePlus 2, Nokia N1 Tablet, Lenovo Zuk Z1, and Other Type-C Supported Smartphones & Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013RMG5WY/
They are USB 2.0, but I know I'll need some spare cables at home, in the car and at work.
The cables are much nicer than I thought it would be for this price. They actually are a beautiful color with a clear surrounding on them as you can see in the pictures. The end all have this really nice speckled metallic appearance. The connectors look like they're pretty well made and nothing feels cheap. I will say the cables themselves are a little floppier that I was expecting but I've noticed this from flat cables a lot more.
Only cost me $19 for the 4 cables. Let me know if you guys have any questions, I'll answer what I can.

I was just looking at these on Amazon untill I read a review some guy said they only charge at 500mA max so idk
They may, but I don't care, that's why they are spares. I've got a few others on the way and one of the dual port ones from Google work the long cable.
thanks these will probably work great for a nice slow trickle charge through usb at work!

That's what I was thinking, when you can't find your good cable and need something to keep it alive, or have to move some files or pictures at work.
I have these but haven't used then yet. They feel very cheap to me. I don't expect more than 500mA. I'm sure they'll be great for a trickle charge until they fall apart. I expect to keep them for that reason only, even if they only last 6 months.

Yeah, I could barely care if I lose one, just a spare. I didn't think they felt super cheap though. Did you get the same colors?

Looks good. Triple charge above is my favorite. Less stuff I have to travel with.
Anything for the poor UK brethren?
choetech chargers
I ordered the usb C charger some time ago from ali, it works flawlessly, came with a C-C cable, got 2 and immediately gave one to a friend with a 6p, ordered 2 more already.
Says rapid charging on the lock screen, and it really is fast, 30% in 30min from my experience. great buy.
poor UK brethren can look up choetech at aliexpress and get himself a pair.
No coupon for the 3 port charger?
Triple Charger looks great.
Going to try the standard wall charger and 3.3 ft cable. That triple charger looks intriguing though. Perhaps soon.
Definitely like the Choetech 3A/5V Type-C Wall Charger, charges up phone quickly Will try the 9.9ft USB CC cable soon!
I've tried the 6 foot C to C cable for a couple of weeks now and it works exactly as advertised. Charges just as quickly as my stock 3 foot cable from what I can tell. I've tested it on both my 6P and 5X and have nothing but good things to say in all honesty.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I've been using the 0.5M A-C cable to connect my 6P to my Surface for a while without any issues. Its nice to have a shorter cable for times when a 3.3ft one is too long.
Have the USB A - C, love it. As good as the OEM cable. I'm positive my new favorite would be the wall charger if I win the contest!!
So far, the best product I've used is the Choetech T513 3 Coils Qi Wireless Charging Pad. Best wireless charger ever!
Looking forward to trying out the USB C charger though!
Also, January 30 is my birthday, so winning then would be fabulous =P
I have a C to C cable as good as described in the OP

Quite happy with their 6.6ft c-c cable.
The 3 port charger looks mighty attractive to me! Their power bank (not in the OP) looks pretty nice too.

Very happy we can start to replace the plethora of mini cables without breaking the bank... But mostly my favorite is everyone else's too, the 3 port charger.
Another vote for the 3 port charger here!
The three port charger is my next purchase.
That 3-port charger looks awesome, not sure how I missed that one. I have several chargers below my couch (with the wires coming out of the couch pillows, very handy), this would allow me to make it look nicer.
3 port charger.. another one.. major key to traveling
Must have that 3-Port wall charger
I got this choetech power bank for free in exchange for my fair review. If for some reason you think this review isn't honest let the know I'll try to answer any questions.

This product comes in a nice size to start with. While I have used a anker power bank the is slightly nicer I did enjoy this one even though it has a bigger size mainly because it comes with two input methods to be charged so either you are a Iphone user or android user just know you aren't left in the dark anymore (hurray???)[emoji14]
Let's get into the included goodies.. The included usb cable isnt my favorite slice of apple pie but I'll take it since the usage of most power banks is meant to be portable and close to the bank itself. I'm personally a huge fan of 6ft+ usb cables hint hint....
The phone packaging included always a warranty card and instructions that u should definitely read for safety and technical reasons!
There is no other items included sooo yeah don't be expecting a carrying bag or such...
So let's get to the actual usage I used this to charge an LG G5 at work a total of around 3 and a half times. Which was pretty darn good! I couldn't have been any happier to be honest. I currently own a note 5 (QC 2.0), s7 (QC 2.0) and a htc a9 (QC 3.0).
I'm glad I can take advantage of quick charge 2.0 and 3.0 if needed as the anker one I used only supported 2.0 quick charge so thanks a lot choetech!
Lastly I'll say that the power bank doesn't weight a lot either is its not a deal breaker to carry this inside your pants or back pack either. I'll be sure to keep using this mainly in my HTC a9 and see how things get going at work when I use it charge my work supplied LG g5 unit too.
I hope you enjoyed my review and purchase this product to try for your self. =)
Note I added images of the bank next to a galaxy s6 edge so you can get an idea of the size of the product.

@Febby Thank you for the nice review and pictures. When charging note 5 (QC 2.0), s7 (QC 2.0) with this QC 3.0 power bank, is the charging speed faster than QC 2.0 charger?

The note 5 is not QC, it is Samsung Rapid Charge. A QC 2 phone can't charge faster than it is designed to, no matter the charger.

@schwartz.matthew.e The Note 5 uses Quick Charge 2.0. Here's Qualcomm's docu that lists it https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
Since my 6P I've been hoping for a diminutive power bank with a captive USB C cable similar to what Moto made for microUSB devices, but after nearly two years have given up hope. RAVPower contacted me about reviewing their 6700mAh portable charger so I figured I'd give it a try. It's not quite the one hitter I'd been looking for, but with the included fabric pouch carrying a short A to C cable wasn't too bad. For comparison I tested it against Anker's Astro E1 5200mAh candy bar, which obviously has a bit less capacity though it should be noted they now offer a 6700mAh version.
Both devices are quite small, easy enough to carry in my pocket without noticing. Despite the increased capacity the RAVPower is noticably shorter, though ever so slightly thicker. I preferred the matte finish on the RAVPower; the gloss black on the Anker not only is a fingerprint magnet, but also showed micro scratches after just the first use. Anker does offer a white and blue version, for what it's worth.
Both banks have a single USB A output; Anker uses their PowerIQ to deliver up to 2A whereas the RAVPower delivers up to 2.4A with their iSmart2.0 delivery system. They both charge over microUSB, but the Anker can only charge at 1A whereas the RAVPower can take a 2A input. They each ship with a fabric pouch and A to microUSB cable. I preferred Anker's pouch because it was more fitted, but like RAVPower's flat cable better.
To test them I ran my Pixel XL down to 15-25% and mostly left the phone alone while charging and used the A to C cable that came with the Pixel. The RAVPower fully charged the phone from 20% in 1h 49m with an average charge speed of 1401mAh. There was still some juice left over, but only enough to provide a 16% boost later in the day. RAVPower claims three charges for the iPhone 6s (1715mAh battery) and and two for the Galaxy S7 (3000) which I tend to doubt, but again I'm just looking for a pocketable charger to get me a bump throughout the day.
The Anker performed similarly, but as expected didn't provide quite as much power. It took my phone from 26-98% in 1h 42m, but didn't quite have enough juice to make 100%. It also charged ever so slightly slower at an average 1381mAh. Again, Anker's claim of 1.9 iPhone 6s charges seems dubious, but mostly enough to get me the bump I was looking for.
Honestly there isn't a huge difference between the two, but if I had to pick I'd go with the RAVPower. The slightly faster charging (both input and out) and matte coating make the RAVPower a bit more appealing. I'm still looking for the elusive one hitter with a captive USB C cable, but in lieu of that these are both good, pocketable options for a little extra juice throughout the day.

I ended up with the Ravpower 26800 PD. That thing is awesome. It uses a USB-C that is capable of input and output, meaning not only will it charge my Pixel XL quickly, I can charge the entire battery pack in approx. 4 hours, which beats the pants off of my other battery packs in this size category. It is a little heavy and large (compared to the above battery pack) but I carry a backpack most times when I would use it so not a big deal. I have not tried it yet, but with that much of battery it should charge my Asus C302 Chromebook through USB-C. It was about 64 bucks, which for me seemed like a lot, but was also the best deal to get USB-C PD by my calculations.
Edited to add: I was not paid or offered any compensation for my opinions about this battery pack, I used my own money to by it
