Almost there...everything working but just have to figure out how to release it

Yeap! stupid me had the use only 2g option selected when taking pics. Waiting for my GF to come by tomorrow to do a nice vid.
You will not need to send phone anywhere and it is working on latest update.
It will be a paid service so will not be posted on forums unless XDA allows me to like how they do for the HTC unlockers...
Only like 5 bucks and free to FRM donators...not much...last I am speaking about it so I do not get in trouble with XDA

If I ever decide to get the droid 2 global over the desire z, I will definitely pay 5 bucks for this.
The only thing stooping me to getting a D2G is battery life

so awesome!! I would love this, so it should be as simple as a flash? I would deff pay for this!
If we already have the new update for the global would it still work to flash this rom?
We also have to already have it network unlocked with the subsidy code right?

lol this is not right..now I got go back to D2G from the DX after going to the DX from the D2G ..
I swear, my poor return warranty...is battery life any better yet? Especially on fission? and does it work on T-Mobile also?

That's a different beast entirely...
I'm sure it won't be long till they have a version of the Pro, but it seems that the Global is a priority.

Is the T-mobile in the US? If so, the phone doesn't support T-mobile 3G bands anyway.

So if this is the patch released on FRM then it appears to not work with T-Mobile USA as I just tried it without success.

I would really like to see the evidence that this works at all.
A couple of screenshots with no data connection showing is hardly convincing.
I am well aware that it is possible to do, I have it working on my D2G with both T-Mobile and AT&T SIMs with Edge on T-Mobile and Edge,3G and HSPA all working on AT&T using the DroidBandUnlock method.
Their method makes modifications to the radio and I don't see how it is possible to do this via system level patches.

I have Verizon, just would rather not carry around two phones everyday. Personal and Work.

Got a TBolt off ebay....but it's an unbranded developer's phone!?

So, I got 2 TBolts off ebay with cracked screens for $245 (total, for the pair). Figured it was a good buy since I could replace the screens myself for fairly cheap, then sell one and keep one. I get them, and I notice that there's no VZW branding anywhere on one of the phones. I boot it into bootloader and it says "S-Off", whereas the VZW branded on says "S-On". Did some quick googling for "unbranded thunderbolt" and read this
(damn, ca't post links. Google for "unbranded thunderbolt" and click the first link to see pictures of the bootloader and phone that I'm referencing)
The bootloader screen pretty much matches what it says there.
So, here's my question...is this phone an extra-special one that I shouldn't mess with? Should I not replace the digitizer/screen with one that has a VZW brand on it? Should I resell it? I'm not a developer, so perhaps it better served in the hands of a developer? I'm really not sure what I should do with it, but I figure that you guys might have an idea.

what is the hboot number? if it is 1.04.2000 eng s-off then prolly it is a device that someone has previously rooted. if the hboot is the 0.95.0000 the it prolly is an unbrnaded test phone.
its kinda neat to have foound such a thing,maybe worth some searching to see if all 0.95s were s-off,or just some. if only some came that way,id try and find a way to pull the hboot image off the phone so youd have it to put back if you ever wanted to.
if all 0.95s were s-off,maybe its not such a big deal.
at any rate,theres really not much special about it other than that,and its not worth any extra $$. id fix it and take advantage of the s-off to flash shadomites permanent patched hboot,wich is all around better.
the 0.95 is not an engineering hboot,just an unlocked phone used by pr-release testers.

The only other thing I could think of is it has some cool development/debugging apps on it if it is in fact a pre-release phone. Although I think a few of our devs already had their hands on some pre production test units before the phone was released. So it might be a kinda moot point now but don't take my word for it LOL.

I'll put up some pics when I get back in town on Sunday. Everything looked different about it, even theone MEID didn't match a 'normal' vzw one...although trying to make a call let to a vzw message saying that the call could not be completed.

curious if verizon will give you a 4g sim for it. Though not sure why they wouldn't.

Not back to my place yet, but I did pull out the SIM tray when I was looking at it on friday....and there was a SIM already in there. Completely unbranded. No VZW or other markings on it.

Ya, it's just kinda weird. The branding is all different.

Also, neither one of them have active accounts, yet the unbranded one still shows a 1X connection and can (slowly) browse the web. Weird...

[Q] Radio Not Turning On?

I am having this issue since day one. I bought the Nexus primarily for testing out the developer preview. I flashed to it, everything worked fine. But as soon as I entered my sim and restarted, phone turns it's radio off and displays "Please turn off Airplane mode to place a call" when dialing a number and displays no service.
Also through the code "*#*#4636#*#*", I noticed I couldn't turn on the radio through the "Turn On Radio" button. Whenever I press it, nothing happens.
If someone can help with this, then that be great!

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the OP, I have tried every factory image available for the Nexus 5. Nothing changes. Even tried relocking the bootloader and unlocking it. No clue what is wrong. :-/

Very strange... Do you have another SIM card to try? Not sure if it would make a difference, but it's worth a shot.
Edit: Haha I thought I was the only one crazy enough to consider getting a Nexus 5 just for the Dev preview XD
I didn't go through with it though.

I am not regretting my purchase. Love the phone on Android L. Just that if the phone functionality worked.... xD Anyways, I have a secondary phone in use now. Plus yeah, tried other SIMs. Same issue. :-/

No RMA. I would recommend you wait for the final release. I don't wanna blame Google neither I am sure but I think Android L messed up my Radio in the first place. So yeah, wait for release and try to see if the final one has it all sorted.

Well, I'm hoping that root will be available at some point. But, if not, it's really no big issue for me. I originally went with a Galaxy S7, but couldn't deal with the fact that I had a device that wasn't much different than my current S6, but not have the ability to root it.
But, I consider the G5 a drastically different device, so if root isn't attainable, not a show stopper for me.

I ordered mine on Tuesday morning, got shipping Tuesday night, but nothing appeared on UPS til late this morning. It still hasn't been picked up. When I pre-ordered, the site only showed standard shipping, but UPS website says I should have it tomorrow. I sure hope so haha

Did mine. Should get it April 1st. Hopefully big brown doesn't mess it up...

I managed to run fast oem unlock when I go verify it doesn't say lock or unlocked so I am lost, but now my phone says device software can't be check for corruption every time I boot.

T-Mo build will have the carrier aggregation and MIMO support enabled.

Nothing here. It appears a lot of people that were probably in are having issues. It is displaying a "server issue" message and not showing us as registered. Perhaps we were not selected but then again I have not read about anyone with a tmus device being selected.
I will be bumped down if Samsung couldn't supply the tmus users.

Nope not yet. And though I registered on Thur morning I'm apparently deregistered as of today for some odd reason. Though I'm certainly not alone. Seems to be a case of hurry up and wait to see if we've even been selected to participate. Hopefully so, but if not... Well... There's always waiting until it officially comes out.

Apparently they are getting setup of the s6 beta. This is thought to be the reason for server errors.
Maybe, I'm being very naive I'm sure, they are fixing bugs before release. YouTube is broken and other things in the sprint /Verizon release. I'm sure this isn't the reason though
Edit: Tmobile is having server issues. So that's the actual reason for the delay. Just gotta wait. Atleast we know now why it hasn't hit.
