[Q] strange problem

guys from day 1 that i have been using creed's 3.0 & 3.1 rom a very strange problem occours to my phone
while downloading anythig from play store strange type of errors occour mostly somthing like signature/certiicate error or something like that and the app doesn't installs afeter download complete but esolves automatically on a 8th or 9th try
btw this is the first time i am posting something though me here from arround an year

they don't on firrst or even 6-7 tryy get downloaded every time but boesn't install
but if i keep tryig to 10-15 times sometimes they get installed out of luck

R Behaving very Strange

Well,
I am using this fone for abt 6Months and now its behaving very strange.
I had a problem of random shutdown, which i resolved by giving it to service center.
Now again back its giving me the same problem. It all started while playing some of the warez games, where it used randomly shutdown. The problem began to rise later. I flashed ZSLE6 ROM, n after flashing everytime it boots it simply shutdowns...i need to then start the phone in offline mode, wait for 5 mins and then put it back to online...pathetic..
Tried playing games on ZSLE6, same problems as of Indian 2.3.5..
Flashed ZSLE5, it boots successfully with no offline mode. the only problem was it used to shutdown very randomly. like playing games. Later even the problem began to rise and started having the same problem as ZSLE6.
Now the very strange part on ZSLE5, i was not able to connect to edge services. It didnt stopped here..after some hours i wasnt able to connect to the network. (Tried normal stuff, putting sim in other phone and was working ok.) It started giving me com.android.phone close unexpectedly..
tired, i flashed today indian 2.3.5. Again i had same problem of com.android.phone force close. After a use of 1hr, i was able to connect to n/w. But the moment i connect it, it simply shutdowns. tried several times but no use. Again after a use of half hr i am able to connect to network as well as to edge service....
Now can some one tel me what could be the prob ?? How to rectify ?? if its to be taken to SSC, how do i explain them ??
Shall i flash a rooted kernel ?? or wat ??

Flash clockwork mod. Wipe dalvik, cache partition, and format everything. Do a backup first if you like. Wipe data and factory reset. Then go advanced and format system and boot too. Then flash any stock rom besides Indian stock via odin. Post results here.

Yes i have done that. Flashed CWM, Factory Reset, Wipe Dalvik cache
but i donno wat is wipe cache partition so i havent done that..
i have my backup...!!

You have options in CWM, wipe cache and in advanced Wipe dalvik cache,
Wipe both and flash Neo rom

Ya but dats a custom ROM ?? rite ??
will flashing neo increase counter ??
but i still dont understand that nobody on this forum is facing such prob on ZSLE6 and ZSLE5... then why am i ?? its a h/w fault i guess so...

Flashing via cwm doesn't increase your binary count.

This shutdown problem is fixed by clearing cache in stock recovery

Did for even once consider that those *ahem* games might have caused this fiasco ?
Try to stop using / installing those type of apps / games for sometime & check how the handset responds. But at first format your handset completely by a factory reset, clear both dalvik & system cache partition.
If required use the unbrick method as it'll format everything in your handset & re-partition the internal memory but be careful.
Do update here on the progress buddy.

List of things i did:
1. Used ZSLE5, ZSLE6, Indian 2.3.5 and tried both clear dalvik cache and wipe factory reset from CWM
2. after clearing, still those shutdown
3. After factory reset, still those shutdown
4. 90% works fine without network
List of things i will do:
1. Install NEO ROM (Flashing any dam ROM with CWM will not increase the counter ?? m a noob in this )
2. WIPE Cache partition (What is this ?? and what will it do ??)
3. Last step, SSC..!!
Have put to download NEO ROM, will flash to-nite..

Cache partition is a place where all the cache has been stored. (I hope u know what is cache. If u don't know read this http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cache_(computing))
wiping cache partition erases all previoulsy stored cache on ur machine. So after wiping cache ur machine will genearate cache and will take long time to boot. Wiping cache solves this kind of issues in most cases. Wipe ur cache and do update ur problem has been resolved or not.

well the same sim was working well for 4 months after i had a motherboard replacement. Also i inserted my dads sim in my phone..but no result..
anyways I have wipe factory reset,dalvik cache and cache partition.
havent installed a single app..n is working fine.. (Touch Wood...)

That's good !
Don't use / install those *ahem* apps for a day or two, they could be the culprit buddy. Do update us on the progress here.

Well i had 2-3 shutdown, again booted in offline and then again back to online mode....
These shutdown occurred as the fone was not able to go in offline mode or wateva..i can ignore for a moment
Well the problem is, these shutdown are not consistent and occur very randomly
Current Installation :
Google aacount + Gmail + play Store configured.

Reset the counter, flash stock Indian ROM & give it to SSC. It seems that your hardware is faulty & needs to be repaired /replaced.
Explain your problem to them in detail & hope for the best !

Yeah it is called faulty production.. . If u r unlucky enough then u'll get one like this in 1 million phones

Ya dude i had checked the internal memory, i was having as much as 1GB left ...!!
So there was nothin left, and thats why i took it up to the general section..!!
M flashing NEO ROM tonite... will that make any difference ?? asking out of curosity.. or it would just another try
does flashing again n again ROM, has a physical impact on memory ??

Hopefully it shud solve ur prob..Do a Cache wipe/ Dalvik cache wipe before and after installing the ROM. It will not cause any impact to the memory. Believe me I have flashed my SGR around 20 times..

Second selva.simple. just clear cache and you're set to go. Neo rom will swap your internal memory (USB storage) with external memory card.

Did you install some app / did you specifically remember doing something before this boot loop started ?
However the best thing to do would be to give it to the Samsung Service Center.

This could help boot your device:
- Switch off the device.
- Enter into recovery mode by pressing HOME + VOLUME UP + POWER BUTTON.
- Then clear the Cache partition & reboot.
If the handset still doesn't boot then you have two options:
- Take it directly to a service center.
- If you think you can then flash the stock ROM released for your country.
Do update here if it resolves your problem.

I think flashing the stock Rom again would help you solve some weird issues. Sometimes it works but I just don't know why.

Nah , a cache wipe should fix this my sister's R's cache is always vulnerable , almost always needing a cache wipe every few months

Yea...maybe you're right. Every time I flash Rom I wipe cache and data...but never wipe cache only. I'll give it a shot next time.

Remove SIM SD card and try to boot now. Keep the phone on for sometime and then insert it back. It sounds weird but this resolved for many.

Take it to SSC. They'll fix it. And moreover since you haven't rooted I assume you'll have warranty

BTW could you list of games, where encountered such problem ??
I also started having the same problem while playing games. and later the problem increased so much much that i started having random shutdown problem..
so IMO, i would say resolve it by wipe cache,factory reset, wipe cache partition and flash stock ROM / NEO ROM.
If these things couldnt resolve, get it to SSC asap..
Do update the progress..
BTW, please change the title of the thread to 'Shutdown while playing games'

You can try booting in to stock recovery mode and try clearing wipe factory and cache partition..
However i would recomend to flash CWM and wipe thru it.....

Is recovery pre installed in the phone?

Yes. Stock recovery mode is always a part of the ROM.
you can consider CWM, as by flashing it, it always sits upon your stock Recovery mode.
and CWM has more options as compared with stock recovery mode...

[Q] Nexus GTI9023 issue need help

hi guys,
i have a nexus gt-I9023.
i connected my phone to my laptop to copy some files and something happened and my phone started restarting itself.
i even tried to do a factory reset and it seems to be going through the same issue even after a factory reset.
is this a hardware issue or can i get rid of it by installing a new rom.
also i am a novice users when it comes to resetting roms, would appreciate if someone could give me a step by step instructions on it.

You should try change your kernel.. if you use overclock also, disable it.. changing rom is not bad idea.. making a full wipe might help also not just factory reset..

i am a newbie at this can you please help me do a full wipe .. ?? i am not interested in putting in a new rom .. just want to restore my phone to the factory defaults... i am not that worried about the data ... i have it backed up in my google account.

I started writing a some posible ways to fix and i realised that if you are pure stock you can go to your carrier and get it fixed.. (they will probably replace the motherboard)

I had a similar problem that started like 1,5 years after i bought the phone. Random restarts when i connected it and problem loading the phone now and then.
I cleaned the usb-port from some dirt and it started working again.
Very strange but it worked for me

i am in pakistan .. and my brother got me the phone from australia.. from a retail store ... harvey norman if i remember correctly ... they had a deal on ..
unfortunately that is not a viable option for me

I just asked if Radio works but then I've noticed that you mentioned it and I removed my post. I didn't, but I will try it now

i did clean flash !!!
i also wiped internal sd card still wifi option is disable.. i m trying to enable it but still its going back to disable !!!
only mobile data is working !!!
for other Roms TW 4.4.4 my wifi is working
is there is any issue as GTR7 is based on S3 ROM ?
need to flash any extra wifi fix patch ?

a) I wanted to say i have 1st tried with your instructions i.e (wipe-->advanced wipe--->check box to : x_dalvic, x_chache,x_system, x_data. ---->swipe to wipe)
Rom got successfully flashed but i was not able to enable WIFI. that wifi switch is coming back to disable position!!!
b) Then I have tried to Wipe with (wipe-->advanced wipe--->check box to : x_dalvic, x_chache,x_system, x_data. ---->swipe to wipe) + Internal SD option check
Rom got successfully flashed but still its not connecting to WIFI.
WIFI Switch is not getting enable.
Sorry if troubled you !! i Wanted to try this ROM!! Only problem i am facing is wifi issue.
