Moto G XT1031 Flashing Problems - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had my Boost Moto G XT1031 flashed to pageplus awhile ago, originally the flasher locked it so it couldn't be updated to anything past 4.4.2 which was probably a good thing. I recently wanted to get my phone back to sprint/boost network so I decided I was going to flash it back. I am normally super careful with flashing custom roms and such from doing it a bunch on my galaxy fascinate. I downloaded I what I thought was a stock rom and preceded to flash boot.img which is now obviously the biggest no no. The phone wasn't booting but I could get it into fastboot but recovery was borked. I was able to get teamwin recovery before I flashed the first time and had it on there. After a bunch more messing around of trying different things in the Moto G regular forums I accidently flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/gpe-lollipop-5-1-1click-installer-t3075522 and the phone booted into it no problem and I was ecstatic but setting up the phone it said Sim card part(I did't pay much attention to it and just skipped it). I then went to settings once it had finished setting up. I found it then said XT1032 and I knew I was in trouble because my stupidity is unboundless today. I preceded to retry and flash back to a 1031 rom and now I am just getting Unlocked bootloader infinite reboot but I can get into fastboot and twin recovery but I am hoping someone can point me specifically to what I should do or what threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry if this has been asked and I have searched for hours

Boot.img is simply the Kernel. It's required. Are you following the factory firmware flashing tutorial?
BTW, all models of Moto G (Falcon) say XT1032 in Settings > About phone > Baseband version - that can be ignored.

Moto G Telus/Koodo version - unable to flash non-Telus version

Hello,
For the better part of this evening I have been trying to flash Telus Moto G with a different ROM. I even unlocked the bootloader, but to no avail.
I keep getting the following errors when trying to flash bootloader, recovery and system:
hab check failed for boot
hab check failed for recovery
invalid PIV signed system image
(when trying to flash a ROM with three sparsechunks, sparsechunk.0 gives the error, two remaining flash correctly, the phone boots, but the phone is unusable (most of the menus and stuff is just not there)
I have tried GPE, same thing (wouldn't even boot).
Only thing that always works is flashing Telus firmware.
Is there ANY way to bypass this limitation?
Please help me!
same for me bro. I tried US retail and it didnt work. I didnt unlock bootloader so I went back to the telus one.
I dont get why you cant get it in if you unlock bootloader
anyways, I doubt there is a difference between these stock rooms. just saying..
There is a fundamental difference in that Telus version only has a few system languages, and doesn't have the ones I need.
could you root it, install cwm and than install custom rom?
Yes, I've finally managed to flash CWM and Cyanogenmod. Thanks for the tips!

Sweet! Good to hear.
Anyone found a way to install non-Telus stock FW or GPE on a Telus Moto G in the meantime? It appears Moto G losdt CM support, so I would like to get back to stock - but Telus version is not acceptable.

I've tried flashing the US and GB retail with no success. The result of the effort was a loss of radio antenna with no network connection. Flashing the Telus firmware repaired the antenna issue with no errors when flashing all the files. The issue seems to be the bootloader and leaves me wondering if it needs to be unlocked. I'm not desperate to have a retail version that I'm willing to void the warranty by unlocking the bootloader.

Can't talk or text on flashed Moto G.

Edit: Decided to return the phone.
I picked up a Consumer Celluar Moto G phone yesterday.
Following the guide on this site I flashed it to a stock android rom Android 4.4.3 Blur_Version.210.12.32.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US.
Phone updated to 4.4.4 over wifi
Then I put in my AT&T sim, unlocked it through a code on eBay, and it's not picking up any signal from AT&T.
I tried to flash it again with a different rom but it failed on the first step.
Is there any way to save this phone?
I flashed it with a differerent ROM and there was no change.

[XT1031 - Boost Mobile] No Radio (Data/Calls), no Wifi, no MEID/PRL/Network.

I'm new here but desperately need help. A bit ago I purchased a new Moto G from Boost Mobile, and activated it, the xt1031 cdma variant. It came with 4.4.4, however I installed the 5.0.2 soak test by putting the zip in the sd and installing via stock recovery.
I decided to go back to kitkat. I flashed the stock boost 4.4.4 firmware, no fails, all OKAYs via fastboot. However, the rom would not boot, it would be stuck on bootloader unlocked screen. I tried various times with the same result. I wanted kitkat so I read somewhere that someone had flashed xt1033 asia firmware and flashed xt1031 radios and it worked. I tried, to no success. I then tried to go back to the soak test 5.0.2 this time via custom CWM 6.0.4.7. It formatted system. It booted up but had no radio or signal, no network, even the MEID showed as 0 and everything else including Carrier, phone number, PRL, etc as unknown. Only wifi worked. I tried flashing the 4.4.4 again, a deodexed from SuperR (which I had flashed before). It boots up but now my wifi is stuck on turning on, wont turn on at all. Before this wifi issue happened I had flashed a xt1031 radios, and kernel, also tried a apn fix flashable zip. Is there anything I can do at all to get it back to ANY working rom but with working radios?
Same Issue
I have the same issue did you find out anything?

Can't flash stock rom on XT1031 Moto G (1st gen)

I flashed to Lollipop using the US Optimized 1.3 XT1032 rom thing that I downloaded from this website because for some odd reason, I can't flash soak test XT1031 roms. I couldn't get the Boost Mobile website or Boost Care to confirm my phone is indeed a Boost Mobile because its saying the MEID is invalid even though it is clearly a Boost phone. Anyways, I blame the Lollipop update that I did and decided to go back to stock, but I downloaded the stock from this XDA link here: (cant post link cause im a new user) and when I went ahead to flash it, it's giving me, "this is a XT1302" error.
Can anybody help me with this? I've never been so confused in my life.
Try flashing stock XT1031 firmware with fastboot.
Next time - don't flash firmware or ROMs that are for different devices.

[Completed] Moto G XT1045 without WiFi after flashing ROM

Hi guys, I'm new in the forum. I looking for some help my moto g xt1045 started to reboot by itself with the ROM 5.1 us retail optimized. I though it was the ROM so I flash the ROM 5.1 us retail stock untouched via fastboot, but when it starts I look there's not WiFi, I try to turn on but nothing, I check and also the bluetooh don't work. I've been reading ever since and I try: reinstal the antena firmware
Try another ROM
Paste the wlan_factory file on the persist folder
Run WiFi fixer app....... But nothing.
I look in the phone info and my WiFi doesn't have mac adresse, and can't find the way to added (I think is that the problem). I have bootloader unlocked and rooted... Please help me. I'm gonna be really thankfully :crying: I'm on just data.
Hi !
You have flashed the untouched rom on top of the modified on without factory reset I assume , maybe in order to keep your data
The first attempt borked the MAC address so now you need a full flash of the factory
Check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/4g-development/xt1045-stock-rom-dump-t2794145 and be sure you flash the proper rom for your device variant
Good luck !
