So as the subject says, somehow my internal storage moved to a different location in my phone. It moved from storage/emulated/0 to data/media/0 somehow. I don't know how but now my apps and file managers are unable to access my internal storage and I am unable to download anything from my browser. My nexus 5 is rooted with Android 6.0 and has experimentalx kernel with xposed. Other than that, my nexus 5 is stock. I tried using root browser and solid browser to move my internal storage back to the correct place but that just gives me an error. I also tried using Android commander to move my storage using my pc but it's giving me permission denied. So I don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated thank you

So I looked at my brother's nexus 5 and he has the same thing where data/media/0 has all his storage but storage/emulated/0 still also had his storage. So I think my storage is hidden for some reason

From Settings>>Apps, give the affected apps permission to access Storage.

They all have permission. It's funny cause I was reading everywhere and I found that on storage/emulated/0 is actually a symlink to data/media/0. So I tried making another symlink using root browser and it just gives me an error

Strange I can't download this one specific app "diptic" I'm getting the "insufficient storage" pop up. But I can download other apps n deleted them too.
Also, tried to push copy my apps to sd using TiBu .. no results. Tried LinksSD, no results.
Any suggestions. Posted print screens, too.

I had this issue yesterday and had over 8GB in backups made by TWRP on the internal storage and that was my issue

Use root explorer or es explorer and go into /data/app and delete the .odex file for the app you are trying to install.

So do the Stock Custom ICS (Beans, Synergy) have native a2sd functions?
Dunno if this will help but it did the trick on my last phone. Open root explorer and check the cache folder. I had an ota sitting there and the phone wouldn't download anything from the play store because of it. If something big is lurking there delete it.

So I just connected my phone to the computer, where I found an extra TitaniumBackup folder. The said folder was located in storage/emulated. Here, the "storage" folder itself was located in the Internal Storage, that shows up on the PC. (I hope I'm clear)
Since there was a more current TitaniumBackup folder already sitting in the root, I decided to delete the extra one inside the sdcard folder.
After deleting, I've lost everything I had on the device. I checked in a file explorer app, and all I had in the internal memory was the Android folder. Apps are working fine at the moment, but camera app asks me to insert an SD card. The amount of free space also suggests all data has been wiped.
What do I do rectify this? I'm guessing remounting in recovery should do it, but I'm not sure. A simple reboot could fix it too I guess, but I'm not sure again.

This is what you're talking about? check picture attached.
And which folder you actually deleted?
Oh yes, it's storage that I deleted, not sdcard

It's a mirror storage link that also the same as your main storage.
Deleting the storage meaning deleting your main storage too I would assumed.
Edit:
For the camera asking to insert new SDcard or something. You need to clear data in Settings - Apps for camera.
And the rest of your data in your storage is gone for good now.
Cleared the camera app data, didn't help. You'd say a reboot should help?

If clearing data and a reboot doesn't work it's factory reset time, at least that would be the easiest way.
I guess I panicked more than I should have. Reboot fixed that, so I don't have to reset now
Thanks for chiming in guys

I wiped internal storage in twrp, will the camera data wipe also work when I did that?
Everytime I restart my phone it goes through the android upgrade process and for some reason instead of overwriting old files it adds new ones and eats up the internal memory. I'm rooted on latest firmware and running Moar 6.1. I have no available space left on my internal SD card. When I came from Moar 5.0 to 6.0 I reformatted my internal memory so I should have plenty. Es file manager shows I have used 2 gigabytes but shows no space available. The only thing I can think of is the system memory is somehow being eaten up somehow. Has anyone else ran across this? Anyone know of a fix?

I'm guessing you haven't been following the MOAR thread and the Playstore issue? Using a root explorer, check you data\app folder. You are probably going to find multiple downloads from the Playstore with a -1, -2, -3 etc. after the filename. It's safe to delete all the earlier files. I don't think there's been a fix for this yet.
I'll try that. Thanks.

I'm running out of space of phone memory. I've moved all the movable apps to internal storage but the notification keeps coming. And the calculation of space in phone storage doesn't seem correct. Please help me solve this issue.

I have the very same problem. I could not find any solution that does not require root access. And I can't root the device since it is not mine. :/ Can anyone help out? I tried many different cleaning programs and I also tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/how-to-solve-memory-leak-problem-xperia-t2488573 but none of this works. I can free storage from internal storage but not from device memory.
