fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot reboot
I am going to try a full wipe and install
EDIT: After doing full wipe and fresh install, my radios were still gone.
Had to run the above fastboot commands after fresh install..... Would be nice if we didn't need to do this each time on a new version.

[Q] Help needed - WiFi not available, no matter which ROM

Hi all,
After flashng several recoveries and ROMs yesterday, my MOTO G 8GB XT1032 (GER) has no WiFi any more.
I can nor turn it on, even if I use the slider for that. After some seconds it goes to OFF again.
I have tried to flash stock 4.4.2 German retail. Rom works perfect, but no WiFi.
What can I do?
I think while flashing, I have overwritten some settings...
Please help a frustrated stupid from Germany....
Edit: What I did and what might be important:
In CWM Touch I formated all what is formatable. Also "none". I thought, that my new installation will be "cleaner".
Thank you all so much in advance!!!!
Maybe there is a ROM I can flash that brings WiFi back?
Is there a way to restore the phone to factory regarding the partitions and relevant files?
How did you flash 4.4.2?
Directly 4.4.2. Stock? Or first 4.3 and then update to 4.4.2?
If 4.4.2 then like this?
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata

Thank you.I will give that a try, too.
I flashed from 4.4.2 GPE to CM11 unofficial and back again.
Something during these steps went wrong...
In recovery I did some stupid formating and wifi was gone.
After my "cool action" I tried flashing nearly every ROM I cold get. No success...
If you really wanna thank me, then hit thanks

Hi, i saw, that this issue is currently solved. Thanks

No Wifi (Mac address 02:00:00:00:00:00) and no sim card with Moto G LTE 8gb (xt1039)

Hi I wanted to install CM on a friends phone. He wanted to buy a Moto G 2013 (falcon) but he did accidentally buy a Moto G LTE (peregrine). I just noticed that because I tried to flash recovery for falcon and it did not work at all. Then I opened the phone and discovered the sim card slot
Now I upgraded Bootloader to 411A and installed TWRP v2.7.1.0 and tried to flash CM 13. CM boots up, but it doesn't recognize sim or wifi Wifi-Mac is shown as 02:00:00:00:00:00 and baseband version is unknown. and model is shown as xt1039. Any suggestions? Tried all available CM nightly build (older ones are 404 for peregrine) and also the crdriod rom. Same problem with every rom. Full wipe of data and factory reset done
You have not updated the radio firmware. This is done via fastboot: (files are available here)
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
Thanks

Hi, even I've Moto E 1st Gen with CM 13 installed in it and having exactly the same issue with WiFi not working and MAC address showing as 02:00:00:00:00:00. Even I am not able to make or receive calls in my Moto E. I'd be really thankful if you mention the steps that you did to solve the problem.

Used Radios listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...p-rom-t3167111
There are for Lollipop but works fine on CM13 (nightly CONDOR 7/20/2016).
To flash radio as described here:

For flashing radio only, use this commands
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1

Extract firmware in fastboot folder, then use SHIFT + RCLICK there (Open new command prompt) and insert commands in post #1 one by one
is it possible to put forth the command to erase userdata? so the flashing is done after wiping the phone

After flashing does it show retin or retus in the about section? And have you experienced any issues? I have a xt1644 g4plus 64gb/4gb model and wanna do the upgrade, but not if there's issues though. Thanks in advance

It shows RETUS. No issues so far besides the notification sounds being low some times.
Flashed on my XT1644 g4plus on Verizon in the US yesterday.
So far, I have no issues to report. Seems to work fine. It does seem the battery drains faster, but I am likely just using it more looking for new stuff...
I do miss my ad blocker, though. Hopefully it'll be rooted soon, otherwise I may try a custom ROM just to keep these dang ads away...

Unknown baseband after flashing latest nightlies

Problem
I am running lineage nightlies on my Moto G 2015 (XT1541 with 2GB) since several month. Since some weeks i get "Unknown baseband" if i flash a current nightly.
Question
Is that a known issue? How can i workaround that?
Should i flash back to the latest Factory Firmware Images (from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639) and then try reinstalling Lineage?

You can reflash the radio firmware, that should fix the unknown baseband error. Here is the link to the guide, it's in the FAQ:
How to flash Radio Firmware only?
Use the following fastboot commands:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

Let's see if i understood:
- Download & extract firmware for XT1541 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639
- Install fastbook on my linux host ( i would prefer using my package mananger pacman)
- Reboot phone to Bootloader mode
- Execute the following fastbook commands
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1*
fastboot erase modemst2*
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
- Reboot phone
I hope thats correct so far.
As i am interested: why is that baseband now outdated or not longer supported for current lineage nightlies? And how can i be sure that the ones contained in the firmware archive are newer?

Sorry, there was a typo. Instead of modemst1*, it would be modemst1, same for modemst2
So the resulting set of commands would be:
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
.
As for the rest of the procedure, it's fine, I am a mint and arch user
Maybe the firmware isn't outdated but 'corrupted' in some way. Newer firmware doesn't always include core-level changes, so there is a chance that the firmware being flashed is the same version. The bootloader screen does show some info, but I'm not sure
