Has anyone tried to upload 4K resolution video to YouTube? Every time I try to do so, it says "Failed (Can't process file)." It seems this has something to do with a wrong codec or something. I'd really like to upload 4K videos. It would be neat to see what a 4K video looks like from this phone.
I get the same error. 1080 video uploads correctly, at least.

I was curious if anyone else is having chopping video performance on a 1080p video? I have 720p videos play fine but 1080p video's stutter every few seconds. Any ideas? Its hard to show off the screen when video playback is poor.
There is no difference between a 720p video and a 1080p video on this phone. The screens not big enough to make a difference. Convert your video to 720p or lower if u want to play it on your phone.

He is correct. Make sure you convert the video to the proper resolution and format for best performance. No need to make the phone work harder to decode video from a format you will not gain from.
Storing 1080p video would only seem to benefit if you intend to use an external display. Are you using an external adapter(usb to hdmi or analog) for playback?
Thanks for the replies. I knew that this was the case. When testing the video capabilities, I downloaded a bunch of random HD video samples. Some 720p some 1080p. The 1080p seems to work flawlessly if I taskill everything but I shouldn't have to do that. I guess I'll just stick to 720p unless I'm hooking up to a TV.
So I noticed when I tried to watch a video on youtube with the browser that it was showing in 360p, so I clicked it to try and raise it to 720p, didnt work, it just flashed up for a second and thats it. I know in the youtube app you can just click HQ and it will make the quality better but any way of doing it in the browser?
EDIT: Yeah it was a youtube issue but accualy its not a issue. The process took some time to show the 4k vid how it has too look. So there is no problem.
Hi, i dont know if its a youtube bug, but if you check the video i recorded on 4K you can see the bad resolution problem. But if you switch to HD you can see that it looks ok on HD mod.

i just tested this on chrome and samsung internet, and both get an error when i try to watch porn on 4K. Go to spankbang and see if it works for you. My display resolution is set to 1440p. Can someone try and confirm maybe it's not our phones but the video processing that spankbang uses?
I don't know where to begin..

On the real though you probably can't watch 4k smutting because your display isn't 4k. That's the reason non smut video services like Netflix and Prime video only play in 1080p. YouTube bypasses this by upscaling and downscaling videos.
This is peak XDA.

Well what i'm saying is, on my S10 5G, even if i set my resolution to 1080p as my phone display, i was able to choose the 4K streaming setting from the website on the browser. On this phone I can't do that, it shows an X and says it cannot be played.
I think people are overlooking the fact that its an adult site, but overall, I find this quite strange because it is the first time I've seen that it doesn't allow the actual stream setting to not play whether or not the phone display is set to 4K itself.
