Ok, I don't know if it is just me but when I upload videos I make on my Xoom to Youtube using the Youtube app they become choppy and out of sync. The videos play fine on my Xoom, they just upload wrong. Is this just me or have others experienced this?
Hey I just tested this with a video shot on my Evo 4G (cyanogen 7), and then edited on my Xoom, then uploaded to youtube using my Xoom. The video plays fine both on my Xoom locally and from YouTube. Also plays fine from the you tube website using flash.

It takes a while for a video uploaded to YouTube to be fully transcoded into every resolution available, and during the process, if you try to view the video it will often stutter and desync at some resolutions.
At least, that's my experience.
Try going back and looking at your video after a few hours.
Hi guys,
can adreno 225 play high profile 1080p h264 videos @ 40 mbs like tegra 3 does?
Here http://www.dvdloc8.com/clip.php?movieid=13599&clipid=4 you can download a sample and try it.
Furthermore , can you play a 1080p youtube flash video ( in browser, not using youtube app), does it stutter???
Let me know...
Thanks
Downloading it for you mate

ok,
indeed tegra 3 gpu seems better, it is fully capable to play this kind of video.
And what about 1080p youtube flash videos ( in browser, not using youtube app)?
thanks a lot

The point is yotube app doesn't use flash player...in app you are watching mp4 videos ( or other low bitrate codec).
In browser , istead ( with desktop user agent) you'll see flash video videos. I really would know if s4 can play 1080p flash videos....
so the quality would be better in the browser ?? i have default set to use youtube so never tried other methods.
im intrigued now lol.

I just tried a few 1080p flash videos using the browser and they played fine, smooth and sharp as a pin.
Next test?

the quality depends on specific video, but in browser you have a real HD ( 720p or 1080p) and a higher bitrate than youtube app that is designed to work with all phones, even with ones that don't have flash player.
In generally, in browser using flash player you can test the true capabilities of the cpu\gpu,
this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i2RCBa3l-g at 1080p is a good test.
There are scenes at high bitrate ( for a flash video ).
Try it please. tegra 3 is good to play this...

Thanks

Playing youtube on the browser desktop page is definitely much higher quality than in app. Even the lowset 360p option looks better than HQ in the youtube app. Can you test 720p and 1080p in the browser itself.
ok, Using chrome browser and maxthon browser. the picture quality is awesome, both 720p and 1080p.
using stock browser was a little choppy. as if it was buffering, Which it wasnt

ichrome is not using flash player. it is using html5 in youtube desktop or mp4 in youtube mobile.
in stock brower you are using flash player.
adreno 225 doesn't seem a good gpu...
For websites that require flash, will it be able to play 720p or 1080p videos at full speed? On my iPad(which im debating on returning) there is a browser called Puffin where it will play a 720p flash video in browser but choppy, however there is a fullscreen button that grabs that flash video and plays it full screen at full speed. I was just wondering will the tf700 be able to handle flash video in 720p or even 1080p?

Puffin is available for android and it can handle 720p streaming natively too from what I've seen. Also, torrent for better quality.
Puffin isn't anygood for viewing those kind of movies/videos. Why don't you try using opera mobile. Which for me, by far the best browser to play flash movies from. Even high quality ones.

Dat lag bro. Firefox works best for me.
I have already watched several 720p flash videos smoothly with Dolphin Browser. But no experience with 1080p(which imho will work as smoothly)
i can confirm that it can handle 1080p as im playing it right now using opera
I just bought the note pro 12.2 and there is no 1080p option in youtube app. only up to 720p
How can I enable 1080p option?
Are you sure it's not just a particular video you're watching isn't available in 1080p?
I'm currently watching Marques Brownlee's (MKBHD) video on the Apple Watch in 1440p on my wifi model. The 1080p option is also available.

I tried the same video. (mkbhd). all the videos in youtube shows only 720p.
I have rooted my note pro 12.2 wifi and changed dpi setting. I tried default dpi but the result was same
I don't know what to do to fix it.
.
problem solved. uninstalling youtube updates fixed the problem.
Youtube 1080
I read somewhere that the 720p had come about due to the fact that the videos are only being streamed at that resolution... even if they purport to be 1080p or even higher.
Hello, i have Yoga Smart Tab 10.1 (YT-X705F) with Snapdragon 439 and i have a problem i have never seen before.
I just restored the tablet to factory settings. Logged in with my account, updated youtube app. When i open any video with youtube app and set the quality to 1080p60fps, it tries to change it and then it changes back to 480p and i dont see the 720p60fps and 1080p60fps options in youtube app anymore. When i close the video and start it again, i see them again. 720p60fps option does work.
I tried playing video in chrome and firefox youtube player, 1080p60fps works, but its very choppy and slow. I have been having a lot of weird bugs with 60fps videos. For example some videos hosted on my NAS stream OK using my plex app, but some only in plex webpage player, some none at all. I have various android and ios devices at home and havent see this problem ever before. All my media problems seems to be linked to missing/bad 60fps video support.
I have tried several 3rd party youtube apps with advanced settings (like yt vanced), but i cannot get the 1080p60fps to work properly. Same problem with VLC and other video players playing 60fps videos.
Thanks.
Well, so i will answer my question. Lenovo was able to confirm, that this device and chip really does not have 60fps support.

I checked this with our team and they were able to confirm that the Yoga Smart Tab appears not to support that video quality (60fps) feature when used on YouTube and other apps.
