I know it may be a silly question, but how to adjust the volume to make Ringtone louder and Notification lower? Every time I change them in setting\sound\volume then I exit the screen, the two will automatically change to the same. The other 2 items in the same screen work fine.

Great program, although even though most of my profiles are set to ring and vibrate they do not vibrate. When I go into Sounds & Notifications, it always defaults back to RING. If I select Ring & vibrate in the sounds & notifications, the vibration works. As soon as I select another profile, it reverts back to Ring only.
Any help would be great.
Note I have the O2 mini (magician)
i had the same problem but only on the silent mode.....every other mode is set to vibrate and ring and they work fine......first of all the sound and notification option on WM5 is no longer used once u have installed PPC ProfilesPro........well i dont use it anyway, and yes it always defaults to ring but this doesnt matter anymore....as long as u have set the ppcprofilespro setting to vibrate and ring this overrides the sounds and notifications settings on wm5........
basically what i did to get the vibrate mode working on silent mode is to set the volume "system" slider is not to set it all the way to the left....make sure you have at least one notch set to the right, it will make a sound only on normal programs but not on rings because u have to set the "ringer" slider all the way to the left and the "incall" slider obviously all the way to the right......
Hello,
Is there anyway to make all the volumes move together at the same time? Its annoying me that when you use the volume up and down on the side of the phone it changes the ring tone only. Sometimes you want the text tone louder but its a lot off faff to go into the settings and change it for the one time you are in a noisy area and you want to hear it.
Thanks
Richard
You could always download an app like Quick Settings and link the ringer volume to the notification volumes so they move the same.
Additionally, Quick Settings is a sweet app and its free.
I am in the market right now!
Im used to know that when i lower my volume or set vibrate, everything will vibrate, apps, calls, text, etc.
Am I doing something wrong?
I also have this
I'm not sure why but I have this issue, and to add to that, I cannot change the volume of my ringtones. Its either full blast, vibrate, or off. I think its a simple software issue that can be fixed with a future update.
Settings > Sound > Volumes -> Link ringtone and notification volumes.
Toggle that option.
Hello,
I have a Galaxy S5 running CM12.1 and I am having a couple of issues using Tasker to control volume levels.
I have four profiles set up called Home, Out, Night and Work. Home is active when connected to my home WIFI network, Night is active when connected a power source between the hours 11-7, Out is active at all other times except between the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday when Work is active.
The tasks in these profiles (among other things) change the phone volume levels.
The first issue is, when a headset is connected, the media volume always returns to the volume it was last time the headset was connected. It doesn't matter if you manually change the volume before connecting the headset or run the task to set the volume, it always returns to its previous volume. if you check the volume sliders to make sure they are correct before you connect, then you can see it jump back up again on connection.
The second is, I cannot set notification and ringtone volumes independently (Settings, Sound, 'Link Ringtone & Notification Volume' is unchecked). If ringtone is set to 6 and notification to 0, then notification stays at 6. If ringtone is set to 0 and notification to 6 then notification is muted.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

The volume returning to the previous level when you connect headphones is probably a setting in your media player or if you're using a sound mod such as Viper4Android then it might be in its settings.
As for the independent volumes, that is probably a ROM issue, the developer would have to fix it in his ROM, let them know of this issue by posting in their ROM thread or by sending them a PM.

Your media volume control is divided into the headset volume, and the loudspeaker volume. And they're not synchronized. So each will be set independently whenever you adjust them.
Your "media" volume depends on which of the outputs you're using at that particular time (Loudspeaker vs Headset) when the profile is triggered.
So the headset volume will always remain unchanged/unaffected by the tasker profile (unless the headphones are plugged in when you run the profile)
Unless there's a way you can have tasker explicitly identify and target the headset volume and the loudspeaker volume separately, then I don't think there's a fix for that particular issue.
I'm not sure about your second issue though. The first part seems to be a bug, but the second part is working as intended. Once your ringtone is set to 0 then your phone automatically goes to vibrate or DND/Silent. Which means no notifications
The volume of ringtone and notification sound can not be adjusted seperatly. At itself not a problem except for the fact that notification volume is way higher then ringtone volume. If I set the volume lower then the ringtone cannot be heard anymore and the notification volume is still to high.
If I set the volume higher then the notification will become a disturbence.
I have tried some 3rd party apps to manage volume of ringtones and notifications seperatly. But those do not seem to be capable off manageing notification volume and ringtone volume seperatly either.
For now I have decided to turn off notification sounds because off the volume.
I have had an OP6 before the OP Nord. There the volume of ringtones and notifications could not be managed seperatly as well but at least the volume of both ringtone and notification was in sync (equal loudness).
Anyone else noticed this? Any ideas on how to get the notification volume in line?
Do you use own file for ringtone? You can edit it, increase volume, e.g. in Audacity on PC, so it will be louder than notification sounds, and then lower ringtone volume.

Yeah, it is not a OP ringtone.
Strange thing is I have been using this ringtone on my OP6 previously where I did not have this "volume" problem.
I will give Audacity a try.
Thx.
Hi try this app, This might work for you.
It will increase ringtone volume to 100% before receiving normal call.
P.S tested on galaxy devices.
