Hello everyone,
I just joined this forum and i need some help.
I've got a very wierd problem with my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 GT-P3110 model.
Android: ver. 4.1.2
So the story behind my tablet is that my dad bought it when he working in another country, when he came back he told me that he had a broken galaxy tab 2 and he asked me to try to fix it,the problem he reported was that the tablet sometimes restarts, alot of programs have crashes and the wierdest thing is that, when I turn it off and then turn on the device (or simply restart it) the system is restored to some earlier state, this includes:
1. Apps I've deleted are still installed.
2. Widgets or app shortcuts on 'home' pages are still on their old place though I've rearranged them.
3. Same with wallpapers.
4. Same with settings.
So i tried the following:
1. Factory reset + cache clean. Even though it is supposed to be a full system wipe, it doesn't work.
2. Reinstalling a Stock ROM via ODIN. Doesn't work either and it takes about an hour to do...it says it was successful but it doesn't change anything in the tablet.
Also there is a notice in android recovery, which states:
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/feature.xml' (no data available)
This device wasn't rooted.
So i you would ask you guys for some help, thanks.

My line of thought is that if you do root it, you can format the system partition which would more than likely fix this issue. But like I said, more than likely, there's no guarantee because it might be a hardware issue. Have you considered sending it in for repair? Since it's not rooted they would do it. If you don't care to send it in and are just trying stuff to see if you can get it working again, then rooting it wouldn't hurt anything. But that's your choice.

OK, so here's where just rooting won't help. You have two options: 1) Find the stock ROM at Samsung and have it on your SD card. Or 2) choose another ROM. Whichever you choose is up to you. You're going to have to format your system in the custom recovery, by doing this your tab is wiped of all info including the stock ROM. If you format system you won't be able to boot into your tab without flashing another ROM after. If I'm repeating stuff you know, I apologize. You'll need the ROM you choose on your external sd card, because you'll want to completely format everything (except your ext sd). If you know all this, try it out and see if it helps. If you want to learn more and the steps, PM me, I'll help as much as I can!

Hi, i'm facing the same issue here. Then I've try to root the phone but failed. Can help me too Sir?
For now it can't repaired, It,s known as emmc brickbug, find the xda forum thru Playstore emmc brickbug check. In Indonesia there is website that claim can repair it by replacing the emmc chip/internal memory, but it's not proven yet, since no body in our Galaxy Tab 2 facebook group has confirmed it. More than 15 people in the group has reported this bug, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the mainboard in Samsung Service Center. I also have replaced my wife Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 mainboard with the same case. In Indonesia the cost is about US$100

A new tablet will fix this issue. Seems like the only solution.

Hello everyone!
I recently got my first Android phone so im fairly new to all this.
(my phone: lg g2 d802 16gb model, rooted, stock 4.4.2)
I rooted it and froze some harmless apps(was very cautious not to freeze important ones) and everything worked fine. i downloaded some apps after i edited things(=playstore worked) the last thing i remember is change the clock widget on my lock screen(a stock widget) but i dont think this has anything to do with it eighter..
At one point i tried to download an app but the play store couldnt connect(even though i had an internet connection, rest worked just fine)
i read through the internet and tried multiple things:
-clear cache and data of the play store app
-removed updates
-deleted and reinstalled it
-removed my google account(after this the app started crashing instantly probably because i froze sth thats needed to register a new google account or whatever, i dont know)
-made a factory reset: i really hoped this would fix it but it didnt. the app still crashes. after the factory reset i still found the supersu app on the phone(is the phone still rooted even though i did a factory reset?)
-removed my root access and did a factory reset again. additionally i logged in with a new google account so they google wouldnt use the data from my original google account(maybe there was sth that was causing it) didnt work.
Anyone has an idea what to do next? could flashing the stock rom help? whats the next step?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
First try clearing Data on play store, Play services and Google services framework. Then reboot.
Failing that, you would need to ask for help in your device section here...
> LG G2 > G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
hey, thanks for the fast reply.
i tried it but it didnt work unfortunately. Thanks for the advice, i posted a thread in the device-specific section!
hello, i use a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1.i knw just little about rooting thats why i never wanted to root my device untill i installed an app called rootmaster.i ever know dis app will root my device when installed,i just thought it will tell me more about rooting,so after the device was rooted i noticed that the device got frozen and restarted about five time before i could use it normaly but i ignored this sign.i then went on and used superuser and other apps such as ''fx file manager'' to access the system apps,i then replaced some of the system apps such as the map and play music with their updated versions,i never know i was causing more harm.i then restarted the device, after the samsung animation it gets stuck android is upgrading.......starting apps.i tried a factory reset, wipe cache but still unsuccessful, any help will be helpful.
Hi
I will have your thread moved to your device section. You will need to register on XDA to reply to any posts though. ?

Hello,
You have three ways.
You may remove the keyboard from the system via adb and push another keyboard apk to /data (USB debugging should be enabled)
Or you may root your phone again, and put a custom recovery(TWRP or CWM) and flash another keyboard zip.
Or you may restore to stock firmware.

Thanks for replying Vatsal
when you say restore to stock firmware , does it mean that my phone will be back to normal ( same as it used to be before rooting ) ?
What are the process to do so since i'm new to rooting . Will my font be restored to default once i do so ? because i think that my default font was overwritten with the new one .
And i've just noticed that when i restart my phone i get a pop-up saying " Unofrtunately , System UI has stopped"
Thanks

Now, this wasn't immediately after rooting. My phone worked just fine, but one day all apps just started crashing. The only ones that work are the easy apps, like WhatsApp. I saw a bunch of questions like this and all of them said even a factory reset won't help. Will installing a stock Huawei Rom do it?
Hi !
If you flash the stock firmware , the root will be removed and maybe the issues will be gone , factory reset won`t remove the root and maybe it won`t help
Cheers !
