if it was soft bricked, you could fix it. sounds to me like its hard bricked, because you claim even stock wont go on. in that case its trash.
i already know that not the case. hardbricked it wuldnt even come on. this just goes straight to recovery.

I was trying to update my C500/Typhoon to a WM6 Rom. I got it running for a while, but after a sooft reset, something happened. For some reason, it is now stuck at the first splashscreen.
If I try the hard reset, it doesn't do much. Just tries to boot the phone as normal. So I am pretty much stuck.
Any ideas?
Hmm.. I can also get it into Bootloader? Where to go from here?
You didn't brick your phone because bootloader is still there. You need to hard reset your phone. I am not sure how to do it on typhoon but you can find it somewhere. Or you can try to flash different ROM on your phone.

So today my droid started messing up, home and recents button didnt work. Google play store and whatnot couldnt access data, the signal status bar at the top was just grey.
So i factory reset it. During the reset it just sat there on the little screen with the spinning hexball thing for like an hour so i shut the phone off. Now every time the phone boots it just tries to wipe it again unless i go into the boot menu and hit normal boot.
Running stock rom and whatnot, but im rooted.
I know that theres a flag somewhere that it reads on boot saying to wipe it, but dang if i know what to change.
Thanks in advance
Well i unrooted my phone and tried to let it redo the factory reset again, and it still just wont do anything.

When this happens to me, it's because of a bad flash and a factory reset won't fix it. I would suggest reflashing stock...

I dont have a custom recovery or an unlocked bootloader.
I managed to get the problem sorted out through some unrooting and some non stock system file deletion. Installed safestrap and got blurry hd running on it now.
Thanks.
I rooted using CF Auto root
flashed cwm
launched cwm
it said - root permission lost
i googled
i re rooted by manually flashing SuperUservxx.xx.zip via cwm
now i am stuck on the 4 dots animation
i factory reset
still nothing
now stuck in 4 dots
i reboot
it just reboots, doesnt do to boot loader
please help !
Well you're not bricked. But you probably have to flash the factory image and wipe your device to get it working again. Start by dirty flashing a rom.zip in cwm. Doesn't matter which one.

Not that this is particularly relevant, but a brick is a brick. There is no real thing called a soft brick. Brick means the phone can not be used as intended and can only be repaired by the manufacturer / Service Centre. Whether it partially boots or not, is not a distinction that needs to be made and does not identify a hard or soft brick. It's either bricked or not.
Before I do factory reset, I removed the root under SuperSU settings.
But unfortunately, when I try to do factory reset, my phone rebooted twice and starts normally.
THE ROOT GET BACK AGAIN AND FACTORY RESET DOES NOT DONE!
It seems recovery mode has some problem, don't know what problem is it.
Is any way to fix it? MY PHONE IS ZENFONE 5 (T00J)

Sounds like your device comes prerooted and if that's the case you can't remove it with a factory reset. This is common among Chinese devices.

My device is not prerooted. Before I rooting it, my device still can do factory reset. But after I rooted I can't do it anymore.
It seems like the recovery mode is dead or whatever, do you know how to fix it?
Dont worry all you need to do is to flash the frimware for your device using CWM/TWRP.
You can find your frimware from this site.

Hi,
I was wondering if it would be safe to factory reset my phone after unrooting it with SuperSU. Many months back I rooted my phone with Towelroot and now I want to factory reset my phone because of many problems I have been having. I was wondering if it would be safe to unroot my phone with SuperSU and then do a factory reset with no problem.
All replies are appreciated.

My phone kept on restarting on its own and kept getting stuck in small boot loops so I decided to unroot it. I'm now going to do a factory reset and hopefully everything will be fine.

I just noticed that my system status is set to Custom for some reason. Can I still factory reset without a problem or could there be a conflict?
