[Completed] Sprout Cubby factory restart every time turned off. - XDA Assist

My daughters cubby is preforming a factory restart every time it is powered off. It is running Android 4.4.2 v4.6_20140408. I noticed it started after the internal SD card partition was erased.
When the tablet is in system recovery the bottom of the screen as the following:
E: Can't Open /cache/recovery/last_install
E: failed to mount /cash (Invalid argument)
I believe the file structure needs to be restored/recreated, but I don't know what it should be or if it might be a different issue.
Thanks for the assistance.

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about your problem with your tablet. I would start by contacting the tablet company's support so that you can receive proper assistance from their side. If not, I would recommend posting in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum. Please note that in order to post, you will need to create a XDA account. Usually a factory reset within the OS would recreate all of the folder structures and files.
Good Luck! - gsstudios

[Completed] [Q] Galaxy nexus no OS installed, cant find sdcard

Hi everyone, i have a galaxy Nexus GSM (i-9250) with cyanogenmod 11 4.4.4 and it's stuck on the "google" logo, i've tried to reinstall the ROM by the recovery but it tells me "E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
i thought it was a recovery problem, the CWM, so i flashed the TWRP recovery but nothing, the problem persists. When i try to flash the zip with cyanogenmod ROM by the usb i've connected, with the OTG cable, it tells me that the procedure has failed. I really don't know what to do, help me please :crying:
Hi,
I suggest you read through this frequently asked questions thread, particularly post 2...which has links about returning to stock. Which is likely what you'll need to try to get running again.
> Samsung Galaxy Nexus > Galaxy Nexus General > [REF] efrant's "Android for Galaxy Nexus" 101 & FAQs
That thread has links to just about every bit of useful information there is on your device.
If you need further help, ask 8n the threads you are using... Like the return to stock guide for example.
If you have questions not suited for existing threads, please ask for help here,

[Completed] [Q] Lenovo P780: Unable to mount \data error

Hi All,
I am using lenovo p780 8gb. while flashing custom rom using twrp it said rom installed and will reboot now. phone was stuck in the boot screen. so again i rebooted to twrp and tried to do a wipe to re-install my previous rom. it gave me this error "E: unable to mount \data".
when i tried to install the rom over it, it gave me the above error as well as "E: unable to mount internal storage. Now i did some research and tried to flash using sp flash tools with a stock rom but phone is not getting recognised by the flash tools. I have all the usb driver and have used flash tools before when my phone was working. i also tried to use some terminal commands, which i found in one of the threads. but it said that directory did not exist. file system is ext4. in file explorer internal storage is showing as 0mb. also i tried to repair option. system has 754mb out of which 99mb is free and preload has 196mb out of which 192mb is free. data is 0mb and when i click internal storage for repair it says invalid partition selected. again i wiped system, now only 12mb out of 754mb is used. please help me . can my phone be recovered?twrp version is 2.7.1.1

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can see you've also created an identical thread here:
[Q] how to solve the error-"E: unable to mount \data in twrp?
Please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information regarding the duplication of posts/threads. I'm going to close this thread and leave the other one open (we would have only moved this thread to that correct device section for you anyway).
Good luck!

[Completed] Myphone Uno E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

Please help me. I am trying my best but I cant do this anymore.
In the past my phone was always updating. I don;t know how it happened. But it started when I updated my android. I just saw that my device was taking too long to boot. I was on the four concentric circles logo of android 6. I used it for quiet a time. Then it ended up to bootloop. That time I don't know that I need to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache/ wipe cache partition. I search this on youtube after experiencing the error bellow.
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
E: Can't mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: failed to mount /cache/recovery/last_log
-and then all of the lines just jumbled again
same as the one on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/help-nexus-5-bricked-clearing-cache-t2564509
I tried to follow the advice by typing the code "fastboot flash cache cache.img"
unfortunantely I was not able to find any cache.img that is suitable for my Android. I am running on 6.0.1 MMB29Q.
I was looking for any sprout 4 stock rom here for my uno but i can't find anything. I even tried to fastboot flash another rom but it failed. I also tried to flash using an sd card but its not working.
when I am trying to adb sideload on the other hand, it would only take about a minute or two then it would go back to bootloader mode.
PLEASE HELP ME REGARDING THIS MATTER. PLEASE POST LINKS where i can find cache.img for android 6.0.1 MMB29Q. for MYPHONE UNO If ever there were other solutions please post. I really need your help guys.

Hi,
There's no dedicated forum for your device here. This thread seems to be the most relevant for your issue:

Try posting your query there. Hopefully other UNO users can help you.

E: failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory)

My phone started going slow, so I wanted to do a factory settings reset. Android recovery mode, I press on wipe data/factory reset and it says E: failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory). Read a bit about this issue and many people said to reinstall firmware. I downloaded latest firmware from the web and installed it using Odin, no issues with installation or anything and then when I go back to android recovery and press on wipe data/ factory reset I get the same thing: E: failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory). I don't know what to do, I'm desperate, my phone is a brick now.
