Need some help with ROM choice. - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been looking around for a ROM and cannot find one for my build... I think. I have attached a screeny of my "about phone" menu. Suggestions would be fantastic! I want to use the MOAR ROM. Also just rooted the phone.

You can use MOAR.

most developers put their signature in the device info. go to start->settings, under system tab, there's device info. check there,,

This phone has a amazing battery life as it is, and most ROMs do help battery life. So yeah it does.
have you experianced any issues thus far? with the infused rom
Easiest and quickest way possible to probably install this rom, is Odin flash the refused rom because that has root and modded e3 recovery in it, once in that rom, you can download "rom manager" from the market, flash the Galaxy S i9000 clockwork recovery, download gtg465x infused rom and flash. Done
do i do this all on my phone? or do i need my computer as well ?

Not at all it smother then stock I think, and it uses a black theme witch responds better with Super AMOLED screens. Plus its just cleaner then stock also.

[Q] Help me I'm new

Hello everyone this is my first time starting a thread on this forum so hello, anyways I just switched form iPhone to the Skyrocket, and am enjoying it, I switched because I wanted something to make my own and android seemed the route to go. Anyways, I just wanted some input on rooting and what the best ways to do so on a Mac. A couple months ago I rooted a EVO for a friend so I have some knowledge, but would still like some input and any tips that I could get.
-Thanks
P.s
If this is a repeat thread I'm sorry

Welcome to ROcket world man. I switched from iPhone too but i had i777 for like 2 weeks and than i727. You must read this once so you know what we are talking about. Its all in one noob guide. And make sure to flash t989 cwm through rom manager. Don't flash anything else unless it says it will work with i727. T-mobile SGS2 aka t989 is very similar to our phone so mostly everything there you can flash except kernel. Because with t989 kernel you will get rotation issue. Let us know if you got any question.

If this helps, about in settings tells me i have 2.3.7 android version and the mod is "CyanogenMOd-7.1.0-SelfKANG10-Sensation" I would appreciate someone telling me the easiest way to upgrade to this.new version. That guide is fairly general in that it just refers to the 'latest version of CyanogenMod'. So yes as per the OP of the thread I linked you to you will need to install 3.32 firmware. You could install over your current ROM if you really wanted but I'd recommend a full wipe for a nice clean installation.
CM7 is Gingerbread based and CM9 is ICS based so yes you will end up with a newer version of Android, hence the need for the newer firmware.

Firmware isn't removed with the wipe so it doesn't matter too much. I would wipe, install new firmware, install ROM and you should be good to go :good:
Make sure you do a nandroid backup before you start anything, if things go pear-shaped you'll want it. Also make sure you have access to a copy of your current firmware, if you have to restore your nandroid backup AFTER installing the new firmware it won't work as the firmware will no longer match, so you'll have to roll that back too.

still on VBRMA2, want to go to latest stock OTA

I am currently running a stock VBRMA2 build which appears to have been rooted and tweaked a bit. At this point I just want to be on latest stock ROM.
What is the best way for me to get there (hopefully without having to wipe my phone)?
