Hey guys, I am a new Android user and have bought the Karbonn A1+ Duple (not the A1+ normal, but the Duple version). The internal memory of the phone is extremely low so when I read on increasing internal space, I read that rooting might be necessary to convert SD card space to internal space. So I want to know how to root my phone. I only find links to root the Karbonn A1+, but not the Duple version. Can I use the same methods described in these links? If not please tell me how to root my phone.

it was easy using FRAMAROOT Application
Follow The Steps Below.
1. Download & Install Framaroot.apk and open it.
2. Choose Install SuperSu
3. Then Click on "Boromir".
4. It Will Display A Root Confirmation Message, Click On "OK" And Then "REBOOT" Your Device.
5. After Reboot You Will Find SuperSu Application In The App Drawer.
If you see the application then you have successfully rooted your device.
Thanks to the developers of FRAMAROOT

I tried Framaroot/ Z4Root/ Shuame/ SuperOneClick/ UnlockRoot. But nothing seemed to work. Although I was able to install superuser, but no root. Finally I came across a youtube video to root A1+ using Vroot application. And it worked for my A1 + Duple. Hope that it works for everyone else too.
Hay ... Friend !!
Don't worry ...
A simple mathord of Rooting for Karbonn A1+ Dupple device (100% Working )
Using - Framaroot App
Steps :
1. Download Framaroot
2. Run, choose Superuser or SuperSU
3. Select Boromir or another character
4. You will see
5. Reboot device
6. Root- installed
Link For Downloading Framaroot App - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2423136&d=1385779545
Sent from my Karbonn A1+ Duple using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
In case of Framaroot's 'Exploit work but installation of ... su binary have failed'
If using Framaroot's Install SuperSU fails with 'Exploit work but installation of Superuser and su binary have failed', you can try Framaroot's Execute script option (v 1.9.1 and above) to root the device via below method;
Pre-requisites: Karbonn A1+ Duple with SD Card; Settings - Unknown sources enabled
Download latest SuperSU (tested ok with v2.02) CWM / TWRP / MobileODIN installable ZIP from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 and extract the UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX.zip to a folder in /sdcard/ of device
Download latest Framaroot (tested ok with 1.9.3) http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276 and copy to somewhere in /sdcard/
Create a file named custom with below contents and copy to /sdcard/ of device
Code:
cp /sdcard/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02/arm/su /system/xbin/su
chown root:root /system/xbin/su
chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
/system/xbin/su --install
Do remember to replace /sdcard/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02/ with the folder path you got the SuperSU zip extracted to. If you create the file in Windows, do save the file with 'Unix end of lines' using a Text Editor (e.g. Notepad++) and then copy to /sdcard/
If you have older version of Framaroot, uninstall first, install Framaroot latest copied to /sdcard/
Launch Framaroot, choose Execute script (/sdcard/custom) option and click 'Boromir'
Framaroot will display "Success ... Superuser and su binary installed. You have to reboot your device"
Reboot device and install SuperSU from the /sdcard/UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX/common/ folder
Launch SuperSU. In the SuperSU prompt that 'su binary is out of date' click Continue to update the binary
SuperSU would complete rest of setup and you have root
All the praises should go to talented devs of Framaroot and SuperSU.
I found this method useful in Mac OS X (& should help Linux users) where other root methods that need Windows were not helpful. I guess above method could work for other devices where Framaroot's exploit work but su binary install fails.
Instruction
-download the recovery.img and copy/move to your sdcard
-install mobile uncle tool on playstore (don't run it...UNLESS you're ROOTED
-root with kingroot (download and install kingroot then proceed to rooting by simply run the king root)
-After your tab was rooted-->run mobile uncle tool then install the recovery.img (download on 2nd post)
BUGS
-backup space eat big space on sdcard
-restore data will end with fail
I don't need a cup of beer..just hit thanks if you're apreciate my time to do the recovery, upload to server, write this post
Download CWM recovery.img now
CWM doesnt work
This CWM is dangerous to use for novice users! Backup and Restore doesnt work properly. I would not want to loose my 3E /Stock recovery and thus cannot update OTA. Must as well not have CWM but a good try by developer.

Hello, do you have a TWRP 3.0 / 3.1 port for Lenovo TAB 2 A7-30HC?
TWRP 2.8.7
Sorry as far is known for A7-30xx model only TWRP 2.8.7.0 is available. It is made by a Russian modder "Jemini". You can download it from 4PDA ,Russia ( it is in English). Or just do a Google Search for A7-30HC ROM and you will probably reach my Blog. I am not at liberty to give the link to my Blog here.
Here is how to root Xiaomi MI 4i on MIUI 6 / MIUI 7 Lollipop update. The best part is, you don’t have to install a custom kernel just to gain root access on your mobile. We will be using a latest release of SuperSU for rooting this mobile. You can now root MIUI6 / MIUI 7 on Xiaomi MI 4i without using PC using the tutorial below. All you need to do is to download some files which I will mention below.
NOTE: This will only work on MIUI Chinese Developer ROM. Make sure you have installed it OR get MIUI 7 Chinese devloper ROM from here .
This Root allows you to explore system apps and even modify them to your specific need. This will help you to get ported features by developers on your phone and even give you the opportunity to modify yourself. Running low on space? You can delete unnecessary system apps and gather up some useful space all with rooting your phone. This could be useful for budget Android phones that don’t come with a lot of internal storage.
Step by Step Instructions :
Step 1 : First of all you need to download and install an App from Google Play Store which is popularly known as Flashify. (Get it from here!)
NOTE: Give Root access to Flashify App using default Security App on MIUI 6/7 ROM.
Step 2 : Download TWRP and SuperSU Zip file in your mobile from here :
Mod edit: links removed (not actual download links).
Step 3 : Extract the TWRP 2.8.7.0 zip file in your mobile using file manager like ES File Manager.
NOTE: Do not extract SuperSu Zip. (It is Flashable)
Step 4 : Now Open Flashify App that you have downloaded in Step 1
Step 5 : Select Flash Image file and Choose twrp-2.8.7.0-ferrari.img file and Flash it. Now Reboot your device and you are almost done.
Step 6 : Switch off your device again and press Volume Down + Power Button simultaneously. Now you will be in TWRP Recovery Mode.
Step 7 : Tab on Install and navigate to SuperSU Zip file. Just flash it by swiping below and you are now completely done. Just Reboot your device.
That’s it! Your Xiaomi MI 4i is now rooted on Android 5.0.2 official software. Check the SuperSU app in your MIUI home. Also, verify with Root Checker App to confirm.
stupid....if i m not rooted then how i give root acess to flashify??

I have installed the Chinese developer ROM, and want to give root access to flashify but my "permission manager" keeps crashing..
I am doing something wrong I guess?
I rooted my phone when it was on Miui 6.x.x (with TWRP).
Currently on 7.5.1
Each update retains TWRP - so after each update, I simply root by booting into TWRP and flash the lastest Supersu zip file.
I've just updated to 7.5.2 via OTA. Then booted to TWRP to flash su. Rooted. Done.
Please guide me to root clearly.. Am again and again doing wrongly..
Does not help!
It does not help on MI4I MIUI 8.0.2.0
