Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to disturb in the p8 max section of the forum but I couldn't find the P8 (normal size) one.
My mother is the owner of a Huawei P8. She used to use the phone as a second hard disk but lately she touched something (and she does not remember what) and the phone is set to charge only when connected to the PC.
At the moment when the phone is connected the computer neither the computer or the phone seem to recognize each other. I went through almost all the settings but couldn't find ANYTHING on how to make the computer react to the phone. I would like NOT to have to root the phone or do strange installations and online the only kind of answer I found was that I have to do a hard reset of the phone. Is it true?
Thank you for your help and patience.
Best regards,

Hi guys, i just wanted to unlock my phone's bootloader when my computer was suddenly getting 'blue death'. My phone turned off, I tried to turn it on but nothing happened. After that I found some fixing method like SEUS, Flashtool (installed drivers to recognize my phone..), but im still bricked 'cos none of these programs can recognize my phone. When programs say 'turn off phone - hold back key - plug in usb' i get nothing, i mean i know what is flash mode (with the green led) but i cant get into it. I've tried all buttons on the phone (even combos like - power button & back) but noting. When i plug in the charger the led isnt light. Please help me i want my phone back. - and sorry for my english
Same problem: Hard bricked x10 mini pro
I have exactly the same problem as you.
I have had no success in finding a solution, because the phone cannot enter flash mode. There are absolutely no signs of life in the phone even though bootloader unlock was reported as successful.
Any ideas guys? Or can you recommend a decent, trustworthy repairer?
Cheers
the only one here with any inkling of a solution
if i am not mistaken, the only way to solve this problem is to J-tag your phone.
basically, what that means is you take your phone to a repair shop, they take apart your phone and plug in a chip which enables certain debugging features, and they simply re-flash your phone for you.
however, unless you are willing to buy a J-tag board yourself, you need to pay 20+$CAD for this.
After all, they need to make money too..
Hi,
I had baught flytouch 5 but once I recieved it, I only could find "Superpad" written on the box!!!. it is great in terms of the touch and wifi , browsing etc, but the arabic letters are displayed as disconnected, I know that is somehow will not be understood for the non-Arabic readers but, you can imagine that there is some thing wrong that makes the reading very very hard. Anyway, I started to google all the options, starting from installing a custom rom to just intall some fixes for the fonts or even font changers. but non of them worked out. the only methods left, are those that needs connecting the device to the PC , while I found there is no option in the device that changes the USB from a host to a device. and the PC does not recognize/ sens the tablet when it is connected. I had tried DSLR controller, but the device did not accept the installation. another trial with the USBcontrooler.apk also an error message that refuses the installation. I am really tired of this. Any help regarding either fixing the letters appearance or making the PC recognizing it will be highly appreciated. please if you have a solution try as much as you can to mention the details as I am totaly new to that staff .
Hi everyone, I'm sorry for my bad english. I'm Maciek I'm from Poland.
I had Samsung 3 (i5800) it fell and crashed (broken LDC and broken touch). Now I have HTC One X+ but now I haven't got any numbers that are necessary and important.
Is there a possibility to recover the numbers?
The Samsung work, when I plug in USB, hear the sound connect a charger. I do not know how to say it in English (phone is 'remake') but mobile has uploaded ROM, I don't know which one. I am a layman in these things.
When I connect phone to computer, computer can't detect memory card. I remember that when the screen was working and when I plugged USB phone showed something about debugging, something to press to go into debug mode or something like that. I don't remember exactly.
Please help me, I will add that I don't care for the phone, only the numbers which are very important to me.
If it's a bad section on the forum sorry.
Hi everyone! Total noob here so please be patient
I have this weird username bcs whatever I put was already taken so I monkeytyped.. and this came out xD
So it's about a week now that I'm struggling to activate OTG on this phone (that from what I can see is not noob friendly)
If I don't solve this issue (reading a microSD without having to open the cover all the time) I'll have to use a laptop (bcs it's the only way to transfer files from my camcorder to Kinemaster (app for editing videos) I can't do any other way bcs I'll be off the grid for long time and I can't use my desktop computer to transfer files to my phone.
I've rooted my phone and the OTG checker app tells me OTG is active now.. yet whan I try, it doesn't read any USB stick or sd reader.
I've also bought different adapters thinking it's that the problem.. but nothing external gets detected.
Then today I discovered that this phone is particularly hard to tweak aswell bcs I wanted to get rid of the annoying vibration it does all the time I connect it to my computer or when I charge it.. and it was impossible for me to understand how to install the frameworks and app needed and make them work.
So If you'll tell me something that I can do, I'll try.. but if you'll tell me change your phone bcs it's hard and dangerous to fix this issues.. then I'll consider to get a new one.
Sorry for being so long.
Thanks for your time guys.
thanks
Hello there,
First of all i have to warn you that i am a kind of a complete newbie about most things you are talking about in this forum. So please, be indulgent.
Also, i'm french, so english is not my mother tongue but, i'll do my best, i promise
I have knowledge in computing but not very much on tablets, phones, etc...
Here's what have happened to me.
Some months ago, i was looking at my tablet (Nvidia shield K1) when suddently it litteraly comes alive without me doing anything.
As i've some computing knowledge it was obvious that someone else was controling the tablet.
So i swith it off using the turn off button. Then i swith off all my network (router and modem), switch back on the tablet and disconnected it from the network. Then i turn back on the network.
The tablet was not anymore linked to the network.
So i start searching trying to figure out what was the problem.
But, as i said my knowledge with these devices is not very good.
This is were my memories are not really accurate as this happened to me a few months ago.
I first decide to ask some help to some people with a much better knowlegde than mine. I gave them the tablet but, they gave it back to me saying that there was no problem. They even upgraded the OS from Android 6 to Android 8 by downloading the update.
So i thought my problems were over but, in fact, they were not.
When i get back my tablet i tried to go again on the internet and didn't succed.
Once i have entered the password for my network, the network appears to be registred but i can't log on it..
So i started to search again for the cause of the problem, after a few hours, i found on the SD card 2 files that weren't here the last time i took a look.
These two files were named :
- Cryptokey
- Systemcrypto
Can't remember their extension....
So, from this point, i knew the solution of the problem was out of my reach as there was probably somewhere inside the tablet some corrupted datas.
This is where i definitely made a big mistake.
First i made a hard reset of the tablet with no results.
Second i have formated the SD card where two files were saved...
Now, i own a tablet with which i can't connect to the internet at home. But, i m quite sure that if i want to connect to another network than mine, it will work. As the guy to whom i asked help first succed to connect to his network and do the update to Android 8.
So, if anyone has an idea of what could i have to do to get back a working tablet, i would appreciate.
Many thanks for reading.
Have a nice day.
Listen I’m not like really good when it come to hacking or anything but I do know that in order to hack android you either need to A, be tricked somehow into downloading and installing some malicious apk or B, someone needs to have physical possession of your device for a short time. Anyone who knows more please correct me if I’m wrong. I think some of those apps for hacking android can survive a factory reset also. But your problem sounds different than just that. It won’t connect to a WiFi network? Try a different network is what I would think to do first.
Hi
I also dont think your device got hacked like @messymatthew already told either you need to install a malicious apk yourself or someone did it with physical access.
But your main problem atm is that you cant connect to your wifi at home which leads me to the question which android 8 rom you have installed right now ?
Or is it the last official oem 5.4 rom which is android 7. In this case its maybe a problem with the PMF function of your Router.
If thats not the case you have two options:
You install the factory recovery image you can find here :
Tablet Recovery images
For this you need to download the right image for your tablet (LTE, K1)
Then follow this instructions :
Instructions - Adb needed
Or you install a Custom Recovery like TWRP you find here :
TWRP - Custom Recovery - Adb and OEM Unlock needed
After this you can install a custom recovery like LineageOS.
Maybe you interested in my unofficial version of the last official 15.1 (android 8.1) which should fit your needs if you want use it as a normal Tablet with monthly security updates.
Scavenger87 - Unofficial LineageOS 15.1
Hello,
Sorry for late reply.
Many thanks to both of you.
EDIT : Forgot to tell you that you are right, my tablet works with Android 7 not 8.
I have tried to connect straight to my modem (so not runnig through my router) and i succeed.
So it seems you are right there is a problem with my new router ASUS GT-AX 11000.
I'm gonna try the solution you are suggesting to me and will keep you posted.
Hello,
@Scavenger87 Many thanks for the help you provide.
You were right, it was the PMF function settings that were blocking my tablet to join the network.
Now, everything is working smoothly
Wish you a very nice day.
