Hi,
I just got my hands on a S6 from the second hand market, and loaded up Phone INFO to check firmware and status of Knox etc and make sure everything is legit.
Phone Model: SM-G920F
Device Type is: zeroflte
Product Name is: zerofltexx
What's with the zeroflte stuff? That doesn't sound like it should so? Root Existence is No and Knoxx is showing as 0x0 .

Don't worry, everything's fine. zeroflte/zerofltexx is as the text says it the product name. Its a kind of codename for the S6.
In google developer console i see reviews with strange device information like: device: zeroflte, resolution: 480 × 854, and the most of other fields are empty. What does it mean? How it can be Galaxy S6(zeroflte) with such low resolution?
Your worrying for no reason

Sadly no. zerofltexx only works on the G920F, I believe. Definitely not G920T or G920R. Ask me how I know.

Hi -- I ran into the same problem. On ADB sideload, I get "This package is for device: zerofltexx, zeroflte; this device is zerofltetmo".
I then found a version for the G920T [1], but that package appears to be specific to an older bootloader version. When I try to ADB sideload, I get error "This package supports bootloader(s): G920TUVU5FQE1; this device has bootloader G920TUVS6FRC1"
[1] (begin url) cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/lineage-os-14-1-galaxy-s6-t-mobile-zerofltetmo-nougat-rom (end url)
Has anyone had success installing lineage OS on a G920T (samsung galaxy 6, tmobile)? I'm not sure where to go from here -- is it possible to change my bootloader version, or trick the updater into thinking the unofficial-zerofltetmo package is for my bootloader, or trick the updater into thinking the official-zerofltexx works on my device?

If you find any work around, plz lmk. I installed the tmo version as well. I had to delete the assert lines from the updater script due to error 7. After the edit it installed perfectly but now im stuck on the logo screen with the little frown and the circle sliding from right to left. been half an hour or so and it still hasnt booted.
I know this is an old thread but have there been any lineage based roms which work for the g920t?

I have updated my phone to the latest version of Android:
Galaxy S6 - China dual SIM SM-G9200
Update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
I have now many problems that I did not have before:
- QQi: QQ international does not open anymore. When I try to start it, it opens and immediately stops with the following error message: "Unfortunately, QQi has stopped".
- I can use only one of the 2 SIM cards in 4G. The other one is automatically turned off, or changed to 2G (depending on which one).
I have tried the following:
- Reboot
- Clear cache of all apps
- Reinstall QQi
- Wipe cache partition from recovery mode
Anyone knows how to fix this?
I haven't run into this problem with mine, were you able to get gapps installed after updating?
Which version of the phone do you have?
I have the Chinese version, so no gapps.

Mine is the same version, before 6.0.1 I was able to flash gapps via twrp but now I can't get it to work after upgrading. By the way I have a working TWRP for 6.0.1 on our device if you need it.
I have not been able to root mine (not even before the update). I would be interested also if you find a solution.
The TWRP works on a non-rooted device? I would be interested if you can let me know how to do it.

TWRP will work without root, you need to:
Download C-ROM from the Galaxy Store to unlock it from flashing custom roms
Download TWRP https://pan.baidu.com/wap/album/inf...d=3737720806726914354&third=0&adapt=pc&fr=ftw
Activate the USB debug mode on the phone
Boot into download mode (hold home button, volume down, power to start phone until blue screen shows up, then release and press the up volume button) and install TWRP with ODIN 3.10.6 or higher by opening the TWRP file from the AP button.
To boot into TWRP just turn the phone on by holding home button, volume up, and power button.
If you can read Chinese you might be able to help solve this puzzle; try searching the web for the translated equivalent of "gaps G9200 6.0.1" or "root G9200 6.0.1" etc I'm sure someone has figured it out in China already (the TWRP is obviously made specifically for this phone with a Chinese interface)
Thanks. I will have a try, but my Chinese may not be good enough.
Hey John, so I've found a forum where they've managed to root our phone on 6.0.1, but you need to be a forum member to log in, and to do that you need alipay to pay 1Y... I can't seem to sign up for an account, do you have one? here are the links:
http://www.tomatolei.com/thread-125147-1-1.html
http://www.tomatolei.com/thread-125148-1-1.html
Sorry, I also do not have an account there.
I will try to find a Chinese friend to look at it.
I've found another site that has it:
http: //pan.baidu.com/s/1bxjvZK password y3in
You have to have a baidu account to download it and I cant create one because I don't have a Chinese phone number, do you have one by chance? If you could download it and email it to me or share via dropbox I would be forever grateful!
Edit:
I was finally able to create an account (I had to do a chinese captcha using a website that lets you draw them by hand... wow it was tough). Let me know if you want the files and I'll put them on google drive. I'm rooting now to see if it works!

I have tried to type crom or c-rom in "Galaxy Apps", but it gives only games.

I faced same problem as below :
QQi: QQ international does not open anymore. When I try to start it, it opens and immediately stops with the following error message: "Unfortunately, QQi has stopped".
Would you please support me how to solve it ?
TKS.
The only way around at the moment is to install the Chinese QQ.
It is in Chinese, and has many painful additional features though....
So let's hope they release a fix soon.

I have OEM Unlock and USB debugging enabled in developer options
I tried rooting using Kingoroot on PC and Kingroot on the phone itself, both say my phone is unsupported
I have tried to root this phone using cf-root images gathered from firmware.mobi (link https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:483/firmware:14717 ), this comes up with the error RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING before rebooting normally
I have also tried using TWRP, but all the tutorials show pressing vol+ & menu & power to access, but this does not work with my phone either (it takes ages even to power on then just sits at the RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING until I remove the battery & reboot)
Is there any way to root this model of J1 mini? I am at the end of my tether here

I remember having trouble finding out how to root my J1 Mini.
My device info differs slightly from yours (marked in red in the quote) so I can't guarantee we have the exact same phone. I suspect it's because I have a later firmware version than you (and my phone is rooted!).
Search for SM-J105: ROOT + TWRP Fácil! and you will find the video that got me rooted (sorry I can't post links).
When I initially rooted, the video description contained direct links to the needed files. The current video description links to a site where you can scroll down to "ROOT SM-J105Y" and download the files; I assume they are the same as the files I used.
I can't guarantee this will work so make sure you have a way to restore your phone in case anything goes wrong.
It might be worth looking up Magisk as this seems to be the new way to root phones however I haven't tried it.
Thanks for the info, but searching for that just showed a load of Youtube videos, most of which just show the exact same methods that don't work for me, so unless you can post a direct link then I don't even know what I should be looking for really.
And I looked up info on Magisk, but that requires TWRP to be installed, which as I noted above I just can not get to work no matter what.
I must have the only Samsung phone in the known multiverse that can't be rooted.
Enter firmware.mobi (desktop.firmware.mobi) and search for your sm-j105y. Chose the exact type of your phone's security patch, build date, etc. Configure CF-Auto-Root (better don't modify anything), generate the pack, wait for it to be ready, download start automatically, unpack it, read instructions very, very carefully and root your phone.
I did it successfully with my sm-j106h.

I've checked the files and they are the same ones I used to root my own phone.
I have since tried out magisk and it works using TWRP from the files above.
Magisk also works and seems to be a better way of rooting but I haven't managed to get xposed working with it.
@shahinul: read my first post again, I already tried firmware.mobi, I even put a link to what I downloaded there. It doesn't work.

Thanks for the link jatan. After loading the video, I thought "hey this looks familiar" and sure enough, my comment was there about it not working.
Since my last post, the new firmware update (the one that you already had, with the same info you marked in red above) came up, but would not install (it came up something about not having the right recovery image or something, and to take it to a Samsung repair centre), after trying a number of different methods, I finally went into recovery and wiped the cache which did the trick and allowed the latest official firmware to install successfully, so now I am on the same firmware you documented in your first post.
So, since I am on the same firmware as you, I thought I'd try again, but now, even using the package you linked to, when trying to install the image file, this time it won't even install, instead coming up with
SECURE CHECK FAIL : (recovery)
even though I still have OEM UNLOCK and USB DEBUGGING enabled in developer options.
That's it, I completely give up now. I honestly must have the only Samsung phone that is simply incapable of being rooted by every method known to man.
I think if I wanted to continue, it would be quicker and easier for me to do what a friend suggested and go to a pawn shop and pick up a second hand S4 or something.
omg so actually impossible to root j1105y and 106h; i find since few day and nothing twrp work and no roms custom available too
Hey guys
After a lot of googling and trial and error . I failed several times and also had boot loops and also lost IMEI and SN. but I just found a working method to downgrade SAMSUNG devices.
Here I have used J7 2016. and I am 100% sure that this method should work on other devices bcoz I have not used any specific tool except Odin.. I would like to inform that I was on Latest Nougat version with Bootloader updated.
Curent Status is :-
Baseband :- J710FXXU5BRD4
Bootloader version :- J710FXXU5BRD5
PDA:- J710FXXU2APK6
CSC:- J710FODD2APK6
here baseband and bootloader are latest (7.0) but CSC and PDA are of 6.0.1.
So lets begin:-
We need
:-
1)ODIN
2)Nougat Firmware for your device.
3)J7 2016 4 file firmware of 6.0.1. you will find this on beow link.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...rom-j7-2016-stock-rom-build-date-7th-t3515491
I would like you to check your original model number which is mentioned behind the battery of the phone.I am from india so mine is J710FN. so download the Nougat firmware from UPDATO. you might find J710F or J710MN or other version but download the exact variant. in some cases it can lead to IMEI loss. because you need correct BASEBAND.
SO now.
you have Nougat which can be flashed via ODIN in a single file package.
and Marshmallow which can also be flashed via ODIN but in 4 Files.
Step one.
Open ODIN and select AP. and browse the nougat firmware which is single file. Check AP box.
Step Two
Click on CSC and browser the CSC file of the marshmallow version which we downloaded from above link.
Untick Autoreboot from Options menu.
Step three
Connect phone in download mode and click START.
Step Four
After Flashing is complete the phone will not reboot. now disconnect the device. remove the battery. and start the download mode again.
Step FIVE.
Now click on reset in ODIN and select AP and CSC file of Marshmallow(CSC file 2nd time) . only 2 files not all of then. Click FLash.
Now your device will boot in 6.0.1.
and you have successfully downgraded you Samsung device.
FOLLOW EVERYTHING STEP BY STEP and it will work 100%. I myself found this after working for almost 2.5 months.
IF YOU HAVE 4 FILE FIRMWARES OF BOTH NOUGAT AND MARSHMALLOW. THEN FLASH THE
NOUGAT FIRMWARE BL,AP,CP OT NOUGAT AND CSC OF MARSHMALLOW AND THEN continue from step 4.
Thanks for sharing the method.
Any specific reason to downgrade ?? Like any performance or battery life improvement?

Yeah Nougat version on Devices that are low on specifications like Samsung J5 2016 ,J7 2016 ,A5 and A7 2016 variants. There Dont run as fluid as the Marshmallow version. ESPECIALLY ON J5 which has a Quad core processor of 1.2ghz.
I have been dealing with all stuff since 7-8 years using Android devices since Galaxy Y. And till now i only used to refer or read on XDA. But I found that there are several people Struggling to downgrade fheir devices.
ANd due to bootloader Security it was nearly impossible to downgrade the OS. there are Lots of Fake Videos on youtube for downgrading Samaung OS.
And hence. As soon as I found this working I made an account and created a New Post. I was not able to post in Roms and Development Sections bcoz of 10 posts XDA policy.

How? I tried 100 times from 100 posts from internet and no success.
the phone was initially on android Nougat 7.1.1, I updated it officially to android Oreo
after that, I flashed new STOCK ROM Oreo too, by Odin for the first time for this phone after unpacking and updating it from Nougat to Oreo
now I cannot flash anything by Odin TWRP, ROOT, STOCK ROM, COMBINATION FILE .... nothing pass
I can't even flash any other stock ROM beside the one i flashed before, either it's the same android version or not
odin always fail
I Waited 190 hours (more than 7 days) of continuous up time without restarting to have access and Remove FRP Lock but no luck at all, still the same

You can't flash twrp because your in prenormal state you have to wait 168 hour no reboots.
Are you trying to down grade to 7.1?
Samsung updated the binary from Nougat to oreo. Its impossible to downgrade. Its thr same with pie, you can downgrade to oreo for now as it still has the same binary on the latest security patch.

For that, the binary is 4 (after the FXXS)

As you can see, Samsung updated the binary on the latest security update for your region. Its impossible to downgrade to a previous OS due to having different binaries. You'll also find that even though it's oreo, the binary updated from the January security patch to February's. Probably to make way for android 9 One UI.
The only option is to flash oreo but with the February security patch

You can flash a different regions firmware as long as you download the right variation. (SM-A530F)
Sorry but I don't know much about rooting this phone though

Read post if you had read before you jump this would not have happened.
You can't flash twrp because your in prenormal state you have to wait 168 hour no reboots.
Are you trying to down grade to 7.1?

They both have the exact same hardware, so, you should be able to download the stock firmware for SM N976B and flash it on the SM N976N using Odin without issues.
On the SM N976N device, go to system settings>about>software information>build number. Look at the build number and find the 5th character from the right, this is the currently installed binary version.
Then, when you find the firmware files that are available for the SM N976B, look at thier build number and make sure that the 5th character from the right(the binary version) in the build number is equal to or higher than the binary version of the firmware build number that is currently installed on your SM N976N device. Do not try to use a firmware that has a binary version that is lower than your current binary version, it will not work.
