Someones has same issue on Galaxy Trend Lite. Root your device and type those commands on "Terminal Emulator"
Code:
su
rm /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
or you can use a root file manager to do that.

yes, i can confirm that. The install-recovery.sh overwrites the custom recovery with the stock.

Yes, you should use "AP" option in ODIN to flash ".tar" files.

If I put my phone in donwload mode (home+ power+ volume down -> volume up) I get a lot of errors in /var/log/messages and heimdall is unable to write the image. In Windows odin doesn't see the phone and in normal powered on mode odin sees the phone but crashes when I try to flash the AP. Any suggestion how to get past this?

people can use the cwm recovery for the G360H to create an for G360F, the product are similar only 4G not present on the 360H. caution because i see the recovery arent on /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 but on /dev/block/mmcblk0p17.
ps: i try to flash recovery from G360H and cant go to recovery.
Anyone has CWM or TWRP compiled for SM-G360H?
9999 hours in linux
Not sure if it works, I don't have the phone ( I will in 1 week or so, but not sure if the LTE or non-LTE)
anyways this is for G360F
and I compiled it with -eng, so maybe there is more debug output..
Also I don't know the GPIO key values so I don't think you will be able to move through the menu.. I only want to know if its bootable.
zip is not flashable
Edited, not bootable
Look at the latest post, new image!!
Is the recovery tested?

I think I know what's the issue now. Just one more test,
attached are two recoveries, both are TWRP, one is using the stock kernel that the default recovery uses and the other is my compiled kernel.
Try both and please tell me if it works or not.
Try using adb if the phone doesn't restart or the touch screen doesn't work in TWRP
Also everyone can try it, go ahead.
And another thing, I used the kernel from the recovery.img of the OP.
Edit: Look at my second post for the recoveries..

The thing that bothers me is that the error is very generic and doesn't explain anything, it has to be something related to knox. You downloaded the one in this post, right?

yes i downloaded the right one, i think the knox is integrated in the recovery or in the boot.img. this is the grand prime twrp recovery forum it has the same spec only the display is different 5 inch compared to 4.5 on core prime. http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/share-twrp-2-8-4-0-galaxy-prime-t3064506

You just need to flash the file called "inception-samsung-goyavewifi-autoroot.tar.md5" using odin. The inception tool was only used to generate this file, but you don't need to use inception for flashing. More about inception in this thread.

TeamWin Recovery Project 3.0.0 Falcon[STABLE][MultiRom Bootable][DUAL SIM FUNCTIONAL]

Hey guys as you might know TWRP released their new 3.0.0 Recovery a day or two ago,I am sharing the TWRP 3.0.0 STABLE Image with working Multi ROM.
The Installation Instructions are :-
(1) Install TWRP 2.8.7 from the link in text document attached in Post via PC (you may use Flashify but I'm not quiet sure if they flash the images well as I had tried in another recovery earlier it didn't recognized 2nd sim even though the recovery supported 2 sims and then after one reboot Recovery vanished away ).
(2) Flash Optimus M-R 53 KEXEC patched Kernel from the link in text document .( Use another version according to your ROM this one is for Marshmallow only and may malfunction on other Versions ).
(3) Download & Install MutiRom Zip for installation of MultiRom from links in text document.
(4) Add any ROM's you want to as after 3.0.0 you can only boot Multiple Roms not Install any.
(5) Go to TWRP 2.8.7 Recovery and then Install TWRP 3.0.0 IMG you have the option on the screen.
(6) Reboot TWRP (Important) as otherwise the new recovery will be dissolved.
(7) Explore new TWRP/Reboot System and try MultiRom.
Optional:-
If you can't flash Kernel via TWRP directly Google Philz Recovery and use it.(Philz now uploaded on my MEGA as well ).
If you don't want MultiRom you can flash TWRP 3.0.0 directly via fast boot command:-
1- "fastboot devices"
2- "fastboot flash revovery (name).img.
3- reboot to recovery directly via Bootloader otherwise recovery will be dissolved.

It is mentioned MultiRom Bootable not MultiRom recovery .It can only boot MultiRom not Install them that's why add Roms option in above the option of Flashing TWRP 3.0.0.
If you think this isn't stable try it out and let me know any trouble everything is working pretty good.

I was in no doubt that it would not work fully. My question was simply if the boot loader would brick it or if the rom itself was incompatible with the hardware difference. Relax.

Are you suppose to do all the "adb flashes" on TWRP Recovery or while the phone is on Android... OP didn't specify to reboot the phone to TWRP after copying the files to /data/local/tmp

[RECOVERY] TWRP for Samsung Galaxy A31 [SM-A315G/F/N] [UNOFFICIAL] [BINARY 1 & 2]

Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short. Its a fully touch driven user interface, completely theme-able & you can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Now ported to the SM-A315F | SM-A315F/DS | SM-A315G/DS | SM-A315G | SM-A315N. (DS means Dual Sim, thing that doesn't matter a lot for TWRP)
I am not responsible for any bricked imei, when flashing TWRP backup the EFS & NVRAM partitions to be safe, do not root until having an actually good working backup, if you signal goes restore your backup, if you didn't have a previous backup I got a fix for you , flash your firmware as always but on the CP slot in Odin Flash Tool get the CP slot from a CUD4 firmware corresponding your CSC code.

Actual TWRP status: Bugfixing; Try at your own risk and only if you know what you're doing.
Thanks for doing something for A31 (the forgotten phone). I'll be test as soon as possible. It's a pity there is no rom for flashing through TWRP though.
thanks

Your issue is not flashing a disabled vbmeta + not using the latest Android Version.
For Android 11 you'll have to build twrp from my android-11 branch.
please help me i want a custom rom for my samsung a31

There's no rom for A31, just for A30 and A32 just don't ask me why... A31 seems like a forgotten phone

Never heard of custom roms for A32.
A31 is not forgotten, stop saying that ****.
It just got no developers and ppl who just ask for things 3 developers can't do.

There is for A32 -- not much as it should, but it at least has. A31 has no, basically no rom other than the stock. It's a real pity.
I won't stop saying that until one pops up out of nowhere then I shut my mouth while it didn't happen I couldn't... deal with it the same way we do
Send me the xda thread of that roms.
I doubt A32 got more to offer than A31
And roms don't pop out of nowhere, we're trying to develop and that requires time, money and people.
Is it able to decrypt encrypted folder? i got random string (encrypted) after installing twrp.
