Cyanongemod cannot update Thread ToolsWatch Thread - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I have a question about the following I cannot update my cyanongemod to a new nightly.
Checking for md5 file...
Skipping MD5 check no MD5 file found.
Target: Oneplus/bacon/a0001 : 5.1..1/LMY48B/YOG4PAS1N0:user/release-key
detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/platform/msm_sdc
c.1/by-name/system
And then it is just stuck on Flashing file 1 of 1
/sdcard/cm-13.0-20151218-NIGHTLY-bacon,zip
(Not yet to allow past links)
BUT
When I do a factory reset > advance wipe > dalvik cache > system wipe
Only then I can flash the new update of cyanongenmod
So any idea's?
I also used TWRP and CWM and it just the same issue
Cheers in advance

Hello,
Since I did wipe(factory reset) to flash cm13-20151214.zip, I am not able to flash any new updates from the nightly.
The process seems to be stuck showing stage 1 of 1 forever.I am using TWRP 2.8.7.0
The only way to flash the new nightly,is to factory reset and then reinstall all apps.
Please help,
Thanks

I switched over to TugaPower Rom with a dirty flash so I guess you can also try that.

Later I installed via Odin GT-P5110_PhilZ-Touch-Recovery_6.26.1.tar.md5 http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=14129 from Android-Andi
Then i started on recovery mode, wipe data factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache and tried to install the

But i get this error...

Should i be looking for another version of the ROM? Or what am I doing wrong?
Can't figure it out.

Looks like you flashed a 5100 Rom on a 5110 or 5113 tab. Check your model number carefully before proceeding and thenyou need to use the ROM that is specific to your tab model. If you have a model GTP5100 then only 5100 Rom. If you have 5110 or 5113 model then you may use a 5110 or 5113 Rom. Those 2 (5110/5113) are basically interchangeable. Be careful and make sure you are using correct version as you may brick your device if not.

You flashed P5100 Recovery . I just checked my files, no derp on my side
Re-Download the correct recovery for you device and flash it using Odin.
Now you´ll be able to flash the right rom for your device.

GT-P5110_PhilZ-Touch-Recovery_6.26.1.tar.md5
Or could I install the .zip with Odin?
GT-P5110_PhilZ-Touch-Recovery_6.26.1.zip
no @jazzvel you can not use the zip (not without modification to flash it from current recovery).... i did that four you.
Download attached "recovery-tab2.zip"
copy it to your internal Storage or MicroSD
boot your recovery
flash the "recovery-tab2.zip"
reboot your recovery to take affect!
DON´T USE ATTACHED ZIP ON OTHER DEVICES - P511X ONLY!
It Worked!

No it is not a bug, just a removed feature. It is said that Samsung devices need this flag, that removes this partition thing

So i should try the cwm? Some other guys had similar problems: After step 10 i wanted to boot to recovery but after a few seconds of the recovery loading screen (blue text) it booted to normal android.
Uninstalling CWM, getting this version of TWRP
I'm trying to get CM 12 on a friends phone but I can't get the recovery to work,
This is what I did:
1. Installed CWM through ODIN v3.07 (going into download mode and stuff)
2. It worked! I went into recovery mode and started wiping everything, but I got an error when wiping the cache partition
3. The phone rebooted.
3. Went to ODIN again, downloaded TWRP but after installing it (which I did correctly according to ODIN v3.07) the recovery didn't change and it's still that buggy build of CWM that won't let me install CM 12 on the device.
4. I though I could force install the recovery using a .img I found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/ace-...3-lte-t2989278 but I really don't know how, any thoughts?
This is the buggy CWM copy I used and I want to remove: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2548856
Thanks!
hi there - i've tried both CWM (recovery-6.0.5.1.tar.md5) and twrp-2.8.7.0.tar.md5 but is still unable to install the cm-12.1-20150821-UNOFFICIAL-loganreltexx.zip.
I've downloaded the cm files a few times and have even formatted the sdcard yet receive this error message:
E:Cant open /storage/sdcard1/cm-12.1-20150821-UNOFFICIAL-loganreltexx.zip (Bad)

Appreciate advice on what I have done wrong or not done? Tks!

Hello Kotzir,
First of all, thank you for your great job !
Install via ODIN, already known method, like CWM
On this thread, it would be helpful to add a link to the latest version of Odin, or otherwise a link to this page :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548856
And to precise how to enter the download mode :
1. Go to download mode on the device : when the phone is off, press "Home+ Volume DOWN + Power"
And, to be complete :
6. And when the phone is automatically rebooting, press "Home+ Volume UP + Power" to enter in the recovery mode.
Elsewhere the TWRP recovery will be erased by the stock ROM, and it would be to be redone...
Thanks !

[TUTORIAL] [Noob-Friendly] How to Flash CM12 from Stock ROM

This is my first tutorial so please tell me if I missed anything This thread will teach some noobs here who are on stock 4.1.2/4.2.2 and want to flash latest roms like cm12/cm11/Euphoria Os and etc. This tutorial is self-tested by me!
______________________________________________________________________________
1) Firstly, you should unlock the bootloader. To do this go to this thread> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/tutorial-bootloader-unlocking-relocking-t2332900 (after flashing you may get a bootloop so flash stock ftf to recover > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/xperia-l-how-to-flash-tool-unlocking-t2337955 http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642
2)You should install a recovery > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320 for this you need root > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/rootkit-xperia-l-15-3-1-17-1-click-root-t2591290 Backup your stock rom(optional) and TA(if the phone gets damaged during warranty) and copy rom zip file to sd card http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/4-4-3-aospa-legacy-4-4-beta1-t2571273
3) In recovery Wipe cache/dalvic/art cache> Factory data reset> clean to install a new rom
4) Flash the rom and Gapps for specific rom(may not be included so google (the version of android gapps) and flash it after rom. Edit: Flashing kk is not necessary.
5) Reboot and wait for some time... Instalation takes some time... :good:
___________________________________________________________________________
6)(BONUS) If you want a good recovery like philz/twrp > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/beta-fota-cwm-one-klick-t3068084 just install an app and click install philz. The app that installs a recovery is unique. It won't be overriden by another rom's recovery and u won't have to flash tz boot.img again and again... Thumbs up if you liked my tutorial :good: I do appreciate it! And of course, if you need any help just comment here or add me on facebook.
I'm here to help you guys!
Edit: There are so many good roms for our XL on xda( I don't compare hard work of devs). Here are some ones that I tried and suggest checking out:

You should add backup of TA before unlocking bootloader (in case if phone will got damaged.. during warranty). Else your tutorial is great

This is my first tutorial so please tell me if I miss anything This thread will teach some noobs here who are on stock 4.1.2/4.2.2 and want to flash latest roms like cm12/cm11/Euphoria Os and etc. THIS tutorial is self-tested by me!
2)You should install a recovery > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320 for this you need root > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/rom-pac-t27490553) Backup your stock rom(optional) and TA(if the phone gets damaged during warranty) and copy rom zip file to sd card( KK rom is recommended first)http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/4-4-3-aospa-legacy-4-4-beta1-t2571273
4) Wipe cache/dalvic/art cache> Factory data reset> clean to install a new rom
5) Flash the rom. And GApps for specific rom(may not be included so google (the version of android gapps) and flash it after rom
6) reboot and wait for some time... Instalation takes some time... :good:
7) If you want a good recovery like philz/twrp > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/beta-fota-cwm-one-klick-t3068084 just install an app and click install philz. The app that installs a recovery is unique. It won't be overriden by another rom's recovery and u won't have to flash tz boot.img again and again... Thumbs up if you liked my tutorial :good: I do appreciate it!

Install the app and click philz if your bootloader is unlocked. BTW it's written in that thread that can only be installed on cm12/cm11 etc. But not on stock. If you want a recovery on stock rom try the step 2)
you should wipe cache and dalvik after flashing
and one question why is KK recommended first?
No need to wipe cache/dalvic

cm11 isnt nessasary...
cm11 overrides system and userdata partition...
cm12 does the same... so there isnt any differenz in flashing cm12 from stock or from cm11....
only thing usefull is to flash latest stock before flashing cm12 ... because other than custom roms ...stock rom will override nearly all partitions.... that means better modem...baseband ...etc... so you should come from last stock

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.
I rooted the phone using the install.bat toolkit. unlocked the bootloader using flashtool and imei on sony. flashed stock rom. then installed recovery and flashed a custom rom.
The wifi stopped working. cant even turn it on. (the date keeps reseting to 1970 on every flash btw)
Tried miui rom, cm12, stryfex roms. same issue..
I tried:
Installing a different version of flashtool
Changing wlan.ko(can't find a prima folder)
Installing a different kernel
Flashtool says error flash aborted on flashing stock ftf
(Closing TA partition
09/004/2015 19:04:30 - INFO - Parsing boot delivery
09/004/2015 19:04:30 - INFO - Ending flash session

09/004/2015 19:04:30 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
09/004/2015 19:04:30 - INFO - Device connected in flash mo)
please tell me how to get wifi to work on cm12 or flash a stock ftf

Hmm ... TWRP backup should work on your device.
Have you installed this TWRP version: [RECOVERY][i9500] TWRP 2.8.7.0 touch recovery [2015-06-23] by Dees_Troy?
If not, please do so. It's the latest official for your device.
In case you still have issues, please post in this thread ... including as much information as possible to get best help.
If you have further questions, best to ask in the [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S4 | Ask any question | Noob friendly. by malybru.
Good luck !
BTW ... you can also create a backup with FlashFire app from Chainfire, if you still have issues with TWRP recovery.
