Z4 Bootloader unlocked but no root... Why? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

*** Sorry for the double post... Admin pls. delete this one.... Thx! ***
Hi,
I unlocked the bootloader of my Z5 using Sony's official method (=receiving SONY unlock code after sending in the IMEI).
As you can tell from the enclosed screenshots, my phone is supposedly rooted - which is accomplished by unlocking the bootloader, isn't it? Unfortunately, any app I use to verify root is telling me I'm not (see attached png).
I've tried to find help (threads) in XDA on the web, but did not find anything that would explain this "phenomenon"... I'm at a total loss! Rooting past devices (plenty of other Android tablets and phones) has never been an issue - as it seems to be with the officially sanctioned SONY unlock process....
Anyone who can tell me what's going wrong?
Thanks much in advance!
AA

Mod, can you remove this pointless thread, dupe of Z5 one he created and off topic @MikeChannon

[Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V with no unlocking possibility?

Hi all, I've just bought my first android phone, Xperia Neo V. Surfing I found what a root is, a ROM, etc. I just rooted my phone by using SuperOneClick, and it worked perfectly. But i wanted more. I wanted to install Cyanogen Mod, but I read I needed to unlock the bootloader. I looked at my phone's service info (by dialing *#*#7378423#*#*) and it says Bootloader unlock isn't allowed... I've searched in the forum about bootloader unlocking, testpoint, and stuff but I'm a bit lost... Can't I do anything to install a ROM?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad english, corrections are welcome

It's nothing hard in testpoint method, just be careful and all will be ok.
So even it says boot loader unlock is not allowed, i can unlock it with test point?
no way
if it says not possible in service menu then not possible
used the roms which donot requires custom kernels!!!!

[Q] Root & Bootloader unlock

Ok, I am new to this forum so please excuse me if I posted this incorrectly or if there might be another thread similar! (I tired searching but could not find anything so please don't scorn me )
So this is my problem...
I have the Moto G 2013 Verizon Non-Dev (XT1028) that I am sick and tired of seeing "lollipop will be coming soon!" But it being a non-dev edition it does not qualify for Motorola's Official Bootloader Unlock. I searched everywhere on YouTube (yeah, yeah, not the reliable...) and Google on how to root and bootloader unlock but none of those things have helped me. Let me cut to the chase!
Basically I am on 4.4.4
~~~Rooting~~~
It requires my bootloader to be unlocked
~~~Unlocking Bootloader (unofficially)~~~
Using Sunshine~
"Your device has to be rooted in order to check for compatibility. " (not the exact message but the gist is I cant unlock because I don't have root)
So with those two being in mind are there anyways to bypass one or the other? I'm stuck in an infinite loop between being able to root requires a bootloader unlock and the bootloader unlock requires a root to do... Any known ways to root 4.4.4 without bootloader unlock OR unlock my bootloader officially or unofficially?
P.S. This is my first post as well so I'm not sure if my random babbling helped explain so if any information is needed I can try to provide it! Thanks for any help and suggestions

Unlocking bootloader doesn't give root access.
As of now you have to flash a custom kernel and then flash the SU binaries in recovery.
Thanks, Gamer649.... that explains.
Apparently, it also explains how lucky I have been in the past with rooting my devices by only following guides/instructions put together by fellow tinkerers on this fine board!
I did already push TWRP, and I had SuperSU (app) installed as well. Obviously that didn't cut it...
Now that I know what's missing, I'll check for those pieces and get them in place.
Thank you!

Rooting advise needed.....

Just received my Z5 compact on upgrade from o2, I'm distraught to find out the rooting status is bootloader unlock allowed : no
Now I'm unable to find anyway to root it without unlocking bootloader.
Someone please help or break the bad news to me if root access is impossible without an unlocked bootloader?
I upgraded to this seeing as I was so happy with my Z1 compact but I can't have a phone I can't root.

Xperia L2 Unlock/ Relock Issues, Need to relock but confused

Hi all, Forgive me for my confusion.
Name: TKBS (New to root etc)
Sony:Xperia L2, Latest Software & update
Bootloader: Unlocked
AIM/GOAL: Re-lock Bootloader, return phone to original state (without killing phone, before 12noon 25th june UK)
What i have done:
- I spent numerous days researching before i attempted to unlock the Bootloader on my new Xperia L2.
The bootloader has been unlocked
After unlocking it (which initially failed numerous times, tried many different fastboot and device driver downloads) i then read about a "TA.img" and Sony "DRM keys".
- Well i guess its too late for that Sony Specific Stuff now, since it looks like that stuff needs a backup before unlocking the bootloader, however, every guide stated "to make a full system backup you need a rooted phone, which needs an unlocked bootloader to be rooted".
I would simply like to re-lock my bootloader and send the phone back to the store (not happy with device), but i do not want to be simply given a link to a guide that will give me the same negative experiences as i have had before.
* I need a guaranteed 100% fool proof-noob files and guide/ support to ensure my phone is returned to its Locked bootloader without killing the phone, i would appreciate any support for this..
- If i am correct i now need to root the phone and flash it with an official Sony ROM ??
Here is a list of links and guides i have already looked at or used:

Please do not send a barrage of comments about how i am stupid or how i have missed a link or a guide. As you can see from above, Sony l2 is not as simple to do this process with as other phones, and for a new person who has already basically ruined a new phone those comments will not help.. I am currently overwhelmed
Many Thanks in advance,
TKBS
End Notes:
I originaly wanted to backup my entire phone as brand new. It looked like i needed to unlock the bootloader, Root phone, install software for backup, backup the phone, then use the backup to return it to original state. I then learnt, after the bootloader was unlocked, it effects sony phones in some special way (deleted keys or something). I now want to return my phone back to normal. It is my understanding that i may need to "flash" a Stock Sony Rom onto the phone to do this, but i will mess this up without 100% knowledge and undertsanding, which is why am i here.

I don't have this device and i tried to perform a search on the forum a few different ways but, I can't locate any more than 1 other thread that's completely different from your question.
I did locate the following links where you may be able to obtain some information and member guidance as well that's specific to your device.
These may be for unlocking but, you may find or obtain some guidance for a Relock as well.

https://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1904545-How-to-unlock-Sony-Xperia-L2-by-Unlock-Code
You may also be able to obtain some member guidance within one of the following Forum Threads from other sites as well...

There's other resources out there but, the above links should give you a good start...
Good Luck!

I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I will check those links to see if there is anything that can assist me and i shall return to add helpful info that i find for other users with teh same device.
Please note: Sony official Support advise Sony Xperia L device to be relevant to L1 and L2 users (just incase this helps)
I Hope the store will accept the phone with the Bootloader Unlocked, but if they do not, and IF i get it locked again i will write it up here and change titleOP
The Links posted by the user above did not help.
They lead to unofficial, uneccesary files, another forum which has less activity than this one and outdated links... - Completely pointless.
I also discovered that " Xperia L2 does not support OTG / USB Host.". I do not recommend this Phone to anyone, it is a slap in the face to Sony fans, the more i learn about it the more i am annoyed with this purchase. Will post progress if i make it.
