Rooting advise needed..... - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just received my Z5 compact on upgrade from o2, I'm distraught to find out the rooting status is bootloader unlock allowed : no
Now I'm unable to find anyway to root it without unlocking bootloader.
Someone please help or break the bad news to me if root access is impossible without an unlocked bootloader?
I upgraded to this seeing as I was so happy with my Z1 compact but I can't have a phone I can't root.

Rooting with locked bootloader

Has there been an exploit found yet to root under a locked bootloader? Received my Xperia Z3 (D6603) today and found out the bootloader is locked. Unfortunately that rules out Cyanogenmod but I would still like to have root for Xprivacy and some other essential applications.
None yet.. I just wonder if there ever will be dev for this phone.. I miss flashing roms.
Have you tried installing the international ROM on it? and check to see if there are any root/exploit options for locked bootloader?

[Q] Unlocking bootloader XE SS

hey guys, I've noticed that almost all of you have the bootloader of your Sony Xperia E JB (C1505) unlocked.
Mine says not allowed, I just wanted to ask if you guys that have it unlocked, had the same ''status'' as mine, or if there is any way that I can unlock my bootloader...
I have my phone rooted but with the bootloader unlocked the possibilities are not comparable
I really wanted to change the rom, my kernel (to be able to overclok etc), but im afraid I can't to that
Please give me an answer

To unlock bootloader follow the instructions from Sony Mobile: developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader
I had to send my mobile to Sony service center to change the Rooting Status: Bootloader unlock allowed: No to Yes.
Good luck.

[Q] Unlocking carrier restrictions on Xperia M2

Hello! sorry for creating a new thread but here it goes.
I bought a M2 xperia and when I reached home I saw that it was carrier locked.
I tried to unlock the boot loader in order to root it but it was a no go.
Eventually I downgraded the firmware to 4.3, rooted it with towelroot and then upgrade it to 4.4 again, the root was still there.
Now my question is, is there any way I could unlock the sim restrictions using my root privileges?
I kinda don't want to pay 30$ for a imei code.
My m2 it's O2 locked, if it has any relevance...
Thank you

[Q] Bootloader unlock impossible?

Hi guys, my new Z3 has just arrived today and I am looking to remove the bloat. I went to the Sony site to unlock my bootloader but aparently it cannot be unlocked (using service menu to check). I am new to Sony products, does this mean I will never be able to unlock my bootloader? Is this caused by a hardware difference?
Thanks

Plenty about this on the forums already.
If service menu says "bootloader unlock allowed: no"
You can't do anything.

newbie

I have a Sony Xperia z5 device from Au and it is locked with Bootloader, the Bootloader Unlock Allowed status on this phone is: No, I'm really upset and I want to unlock it and root it but can't find it. Anyway, I really need help from all of you, sorry my English is not good.
most root method require you to have bootloader unlock have you tried any action/procedure on unlocking it?
