Spigen Wallet Case - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

I've recently heard that the magnets used in the Spigen wallet cases will demagnetize credit/debit cards and any other magnetic card. Is this true or is it all just junk?

After trying several different wallet cases, I destroyed nearly the same amount of cards inside. One of those was the Spigen case. Although I think that it was my fault, cause I injected the card the most faulty way with the magnetic stripe nearest to the magnet I would not suggest the case. You only need one time where you are not concentrated and insert it bad and all the wealth is gone ^.^
Especially with the ARKTIS Pro Wallet Case I made a very bad experience because the whole design is not applicable for the Note 4. The magnets in this case are so strong, that the S Pen is not usable anymore.
At my last decision I took the genuine Samsung Flip Wallet Case and in my opinion its the best possibilty. Its functional enough, not that expensive anymore, wont hurt your cards and as a benefit screen turns on off automatically when opening closing.

Wow! I didn't think there was any truth to any of this at first as I've thought the the magnets used in these wallet style cases were very low power magnets. That wouldn't cause any problems with bank cards or any other magnetic cards.

I have just purchased this case and will let you guys know when it comes in. Got it on amazon for $29.99 shipped with the discount they are giving.
Let us know how it is. I almost bought one yesterday but decided to wait.
I have the Black Vegan wallet case sold on Amazon for $6. Had it for a month and no longer carry a wallet or kickstand! Its very protective and has a snap to ensure it stays closed. Been using it for over a month with no issues.

I ordered this case as well, its much cheaper and has the added feature of a kickstand.

I've been using the Ringke Discover for a week and a half now and I LOVE it. I carry 4 cards (2 id's 2 cc's) and 1 $100 bill..OK, a $20. I put two cards behind the inside flap, and two in the top slot, with the bill folded in a CC slot for a better close.
The case looks great..much better than the alternatives below. The white on orange leather makes the phone stand out. I've had several people comment on the case already. It does so a great job of protecting the phone's screen from card imprints when closed (a major factor for me) but holds the cards extremely well. The deep pockets relieve concerns about cards falling out.
Before this case, I was using the Poetic Slimbook leather case. This was a nice case, slim profile, tight credit card slots, and great plastic case fit for phone. The styling was nice, somewhat cheap looking, but passable quality. The flap is very slightly magnetic and will clasp onto the back of the case when closed, keeping the closed-fit nice and snug. When packed with cards, or extra bills, the flap barely stays shut.
The flaws with this case was the fact the inside flap was not sealed at the top of the case. While I was able to tuck a CC/ID into the bottom left hand corner, under the flap, I was constantly checking to make sure it wasn't flying out the top of the case. I never actually had a problem with this happening, but I don't understand the open flap choice. Also, I had problem with imprints from cards into the screenface. I used business cards in front of the plastic cards in each slot to protect the screen slightly.
My first case was the Black Vegan, which was an OK case, but the bulkiest of the three cases. It does look cheap in my opinion, but not horrible. The large front clasp gives this a large profile, even though it closes tight.
Cards pressing against the screen were a huge issue with this case (I was only using 3 cards with this case, one in the plastic ID slot). I would not recommend this case, but it was $5 when I bought it, so if you need a cheap option, this is acceptable.

Does it have a magnetic closing flap or is it a button? I'm worried about it staying closed and it's so expensive.

That Rinke Discover looks really nice. A bit on the pricier side though.
I've been using the white Rearth Ringke Slim case and it looks like that's what they use inside of the Discover. They make a great product and now another decision to make whether I want this one or not.
The Ringke wallet is a nice higher end case. But it doesn't have the Vegan fold landscape kickstand which is awesome for my daily usage. Also the vegan cards do not touch my screen; I have credit cards in the 1st two slots, business card in 3rd slot & $bills under it. I have covered the 3rd slot with a small piece of microfiber (1"x2") and that is the only thing touching my N4 screen when snapped closed!

That's very true, the kickstand is a huge plus for most people (hardly ever used it personally).
I was able to make the Poetic case stand like that, a pyramid shape, but it'd just be good for videos, not the most stable option. You take the magnetic flap and lay it flat against the surface of the table and it keeps it from sliding back down. Don't know if that was an intended feature, but if it is, it's not nearly as stable as the Vegan.
I used to fold a $ bill in front of the lowest card and behind the top card...your method seems much nicer ha!

No magnetic clasps or snaps of any sort. The front cover of the case is twice as thick as the rest of the case, starting at the edge of the spine. This makes it heavier and gives it a tendency to stay closed on its own.
I went with the Vegan at first, being concerned about safety / stuff falling out, but I realized I didn't need the snap after a while. All of the cases hold the cards well enough without needing to be held shut. If stuff is going to fall out, it'd fall out with out without the snap being shut.
I prefer the slimmer profile of not having any clasps/snaps, and since the inside flap of the Discover is stitched on top and bottom, you can use the compartment behind the card to keep anything from falling out if you dont trust the CC slots.
It's a lot of personal preference though, and will be different depending on what you carry, need a kickstand, etc. If you don't mind the larger profile, you'll be happy with the Vegan. With winter leaving, I won't have the big coats to hide the case in anymore, so the Discover or Poetic were better choices for me.
If anyone wants my Vegan case, PM me and you give me a UPS prepaid label, it's all yours.

For your 2nd requirement, there's this recently released new flip case option on Ebay from Imak.

Similar to the iPhone one, you're pretty much directly sticking the case itself with adhesive to the back of the phone to maintain the slimmest profile. So I hesitate to really call it a case.
Another guy answered below, but I will also give my impressions. I like the case for sure. Has a little bit more of a premium style. When answering calls it is nice to keep the flap over the screen. The earpiece cutout lines up well and I can clearly hear the person in the phone. The only real gripe is the flap slides around a little bit when closed against the screen. The cards don't touch it so that isn't really a big concern. Other than that I do like it.

Could you post some pics of the case? I am interested in it especially since it's only $30 on Amazon.
has anyone tried the POETIC Slimbook leather flip case for the nexus 4? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Poetic-TM-S...533885?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item417009547d
looks like a decent price! Any feedback would help

Apparently the magnets are a hit or a miss if you put multiple cards and/or bills and it's a little on the thick side but for $7 bucks I think I (or in this case my mom) can live with that

And the top of the case isn't sealed (behind the CC's). I worried about cards sliding out the top, but I never had a problem with the card almost coming out. Just paranoid.
If you don't want to spend the money for the Discover, the Poetic one is a nice alternative.
Sorry eliter1, my only camera is the N4, my pics wouldn't be great. I paid $30 on amazon back on the 4th

iMagnet dock - after having it for a few weeks

My opinion of the iMagnet dock has slipped a bit after having used it for a while now.
I got it at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IOQ3K6/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the price was right.
The mounting sticky suction cup works great and it is not too large so it is not obtrusive.
However ... the magnet is just not strong enough. Once you put a case on, the strength (or lack thereof) becomes more apparent.
I put an el cheapo s-view case on and since it covers the back instead of replacing the battery cover, the extra thickness insulates it from the magnet a bit too much.
Yes, it holds the phone. However, the choice of a round-shaped magnet may have been the big mistake.
Since the magnetic field is round, it allows the phone to pivot around the central axis and after a bit of driving, the phone tilts to one side or the other.
A rectangular magnet or at least a much stronger one would probably correct this.
When my Spigen Slim Armor case arrives I will try it out and see if the s-view case if just too thick or what.
I've had the whole phone rotating and less magnetic strength as you op. I used it with my s3 and put the metal plate inside the plastic on my seidio ext battery case. The phone was pretty heavy and it did hold pretty well. A good pothole could knock it off though. It'd be much stronger on the outside of the case but way to ugly.
Now I'm using a ballistic sgmaxx this case is way to thick to put it in the inside. Plus I have a wireless receiver for charging making it a no go. And on top of all that even if I placed the plate on the outside it blocks the wireless charging from working.
It really sucks because I loved that mount. No tabs to adjust, no pieces to break or lose, no clicking it in place and pushing a button to release.

Any luck with the Spigen Slim Armor case? I have the Slim Armor right now and am debating this mount but after reading this thread, I'm a little skeptical. I was thinking to put the round disk between the TPU and Hard Shell of the case so that there's less insulation of the magnet.
I have had this mount for over 18 months starting with my s3. I can see where with the extended battery it may be an weight issue. I have the slim armor case and with the plate between the 2 layers (the hard plastic and the rubber) on my S4 it works great. even in the pot hole state of Michigan. I don't know if the other people are using the large plate that is included but its almost a must in order to keep the magnet in full contact with metal.
Funny enough, with the Spigen Slim Armor, it works better than the el cheapo sview I was using.
The $5 slim armor from AliExpress is just plain awesome, although a little hard to open..
I was thinking of getting one of these.. now I am not

I'm going to have to figure out how to use one with wireless charging. Maybe a rare earth magnets instead.

Anyone use this wallet soft card case?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wallet-Card...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item2343f50447
anybody have any experience with this or similar? I usually run my phones naked. considering a case to eliminate my wallet maybe?
I just got the official folio case, it's very slim line, which is nice. I can't make up my mind on naked or not. However this case makes the naked vs cased almost a mute point try it it will probably suit you
I've been using this case for 1 day so far and I'm thinking I'll order another one as a backup just in case. You can only fit two cards in and it's a bit tight at that. I don't think it will stretch out enough to fit any more cards and I don't think I'll try as it's already pulling up a bit from the sides where the stitching is.
The silicon part lips over the front of the phone giving a little protection the the sides and edges. But on my Verizon Note 4, the left mic hole is off by a bit, but I was able to fix that with a large sewing needle.
I had a similar case on my Note 2 for a year and a half, but it had a diagonal cut on the credit card pouch that made it a bit easier to get cards in and out and I was able to fit about 4 cards into it. It also lifter a little on the sides next to the hard plastic on the Note 2 model but it never fully came apart and worked fine until I got my new phone.

Magnetic cases for Galaxy note edge

I just bought a nice case for my note edge in HK by a UFO company, some chinese stuff most probably, later i found that the S pen is not working in the area where the magnets are located. Just wanted to warn you guys before damaging your device.... Be cautious with magnetic cases , i ripped the magnets out, case still looks good and protects the phone . If you use magnetic case for a long period, it should still recover once you remove the magnets and the magnetic field fades away(could take some time).

What was wrong with the old design cases???

Hi all. New Note 4 owner here. I cannot believe how hard it is to find a decent/suitable/working! Note 4 leather wallet case!!!
Having owned the excellent Note 2 Spigen Valentinus case why oh why oh why have ALL the Note 4 cases gone magnetic with only 3 card slots? Doesn't make sense.
All magnetic cases affect the screen. Found one that doesn't, but then the bloody clasp isn't strong enough to keep the case closed! Not to mention that expensive case doesn't even have a cut out for the pen!!!
What's wrong with keeping to a button clasp? Especially when magnets cause problems.
The phone is bigger, so why have less slots???
Going mad here...is it only me? Why couldn't spigen (and others) just keep the old design?
