[Q] Nexus 5 Rom for Android 4.3

Hi everyone,
Does Nexus 5 support Android 4.3. I am going to test a software compatibility issue. So is there any problem to flash 4.3 to my Nexus 5 ROM? Thanks.

there isnt anything 4.3 available for the nexus 5, so you cant just flash it. theres no 4.3 source for it, no binaries, no code at all meant for the nexus 5 and 4.3. so, how do you expect to just flash it?

Sorry, I don't quite get you.
Can I download factory images occam 4.3 for Nexus 4 from "developers.google.com/android/nexus/images", and flash it into Nexus 5. I am wandering if it works.

No. Nexus 5 was released with KitKat 4.4. There are no nexus 5 "drivers" that exist that will work with 4.3 because the nexus 5 did not exist then.

You keep posting over here in the Note5 forums, why don't you head over there and wait for root/TWRP/etc? You should probably avoid flashing any of these things on your Edge+, but you do what you want.

No one there has even started a thread
related to a compatible twrp or root for
the G928T phone.
Since the Note 5 and the S6 Edge+ have
almost identical specs and hardware I am
hoping that perhaps twrp and root might
be similar enough to be interchangeable.

Patience is a virtue TWRP might work, but I'm sure there are kernel differences between the 2 and you might have issues if you flash that kernel to get root. Better to wait it out and keep the thread on topic about the Note5.

I would say if your worried about Samsung pay not working, maybe wait until Samsung pay actually comes out and see if some other brave tries this and then tries using Samsung pay to see if it works. No need to get your panties in a bunch before we even know for sure.

I'm not concerned about something I won't use. I have root so I'm happy. Bring on the roms. Don't harass the devs to make a special Samsung Pay root either lol. Not happening.

Charlieb620, you have root, but does your fingerprint reader still work? Also, if you could, link the 2 threads you followed for rooting. I know of the TWRP thread, but the root method thread...?

It seems a difficult tast man.
Cm 13 is a bit android 6 type amd s4 runs max of android older veraions.
So officially not possible. Inofgicially a hard thing to go with.
Soo for now you will have to wait

Unlocking bootloader takes several weeks for unlock code.
I'd look for other phone then.

Samsung haven't released the source code / drivers or something yet afaik

It's so for lot of other phones, yet you get custom roms inclueing cm13..! So there are only TouchWiz based roms for now, that's it?

Other phones don't use samsungs exynos chip, plus samsung locked the snapdragon's bootloader, so we're double ****ed.

In the end, what's the best and lightest rom to use on this phone today?
