i have tried to flash CM11 - CM12 ,12.1- PAC- Glade roms but every time encountered "Error executing updater binary in zip" error while flashing . MY explorer is factory unlock (s-off) and now is running "HTC_Sense_4.0a_Build14_Final" rom
but i want to update it to android version 5 and will be so thankful if you help me.

Factory Unlock is NOT S-OFF, but it is a bootloader unlock. Please state which recovery you're using.

Hi guys, I want place question to CM11 oficial topic, but I have <10 post. So here is my issue. I have 4.2 FB Asus FW. Then installed latest TWRP. But if I want to install CM11 nightly build (tried last one and some older one) I allways get this message after some minutes of flashing:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/cm11-20140111-NIGHTLY-tf300t.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm11-20140111-NIGHTLY-tf300t.zip'
FAILED

If you would like a flashable zip recovery, that you can just flash from your current recovery try this one out....

i have just unlocked and rooted my mini and have tried with TWRP (2.7 and 2.6) to flash cm11 and pacrom but i get a "failed" and "e: error executing updater binary in zip".
do i need to be s-off to successfully flash a rom or is there something else i'm missing?

its an optional security check but installation will go as normal with or without the md5

Yes I agree with u but after this error its shows install process failed ,I search it on Google &xda I hv come to know that update the twrp or revert it to 2.3.3.0;now I am using twrp2.5.0.0,I searched a lot for solution but nothing doing well .I have tried to flash lower version of twrp with flashify but nothing goes right I am totally confused & waana install kitkat 4.4.4 but md5 file error is irritating so plz help dear .thanks in advance.

Same here. I tried to flash CM12.1 Unofficial TEMASEK by @mygalaxya for my A500G, and got the message.
You can try to unzip the rom and change the update binary with another that you know that works

Error msg on updating :
( update failed system/build.prop has unexpected contents ended with error # 7 )

If you are trying to official update then you can't. Because your system modified by flashing custom recovery. You need to flash stock recovery of your android to update your android.
