hi, i got my lg g3 at&t from my cousin upstate and i was trying to get some apps running on it and it most of them werent really functioning well because my playstore couldnt connect with google through mobile data and facebook app was doing the same so i decided to download the stock firmware for the phone. the phone used to start up as sprint so i download the sprint stock kitkat firmware and used lg flash tool to change it back to stock firmware. Then the network stopped working so decided to do background check and found that it was actually at&t version.
Long and short of it all is that i tried putting the stock at&t kitkat firmware on it using lg flash tool and always outputs download failed( mismatch device and firmware ). can anyone help with this.
i read on some forum that theres a universal dll that can with all versions for Lg G2 and was wondering if theres one for this one too
pls help i really need it to work

Try this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2473543&d=1387955530
From my Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
If that DLL does not work for you, You may need to use a HEX editor to edit the TOT file. But try that first

thanks, i already downloaded that and tried it and still fail and i cant wrap my head round the hex editing. Was thinking of installing twrp recovery and doing a full data wipe then after i use the lg flash tool to flash the .tot file on the phone but an having problems with installing the twrp recovery cos the firmware is sprint and the phone is at&t so i dont know which one would work. Thats even if its possible

Hi guys.
I'm in trouble with my phone (LG P920h). I tried to install Cyanogen but it didn't work. Then, I restored to original ROM using LG Software Update and that's OK.
My cell phone is now with original GB 2.3.5, from LG. But, I have the same problem again: network is not working. I can't make calls. There's no signal.
My friend has the same cell phone. I noticed that, when I type in the dialer 3845#*920#, go to Version Info -> Factory Version, there's difference:
Mine: LGP920hAT-00-V20a-724-06-DEC-22-2011
Him: LGP920hAT-00-V20a-724-XXX-DEC-22-2011
Now I'm wodering if this 'XXX' in the version number is the problem.
I tried to install this baseband: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668541
But, it didn't work.
I tried to restore using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836
But it also didn't work.
Does anyone know anything about this? Is my problem that 'XXX' in the version? If it is, how can I fix that?
Try to flash with Smart flash or LG flash tool, Bin files or KDZ file that will help you for sure.

hi bensmokie.
i've tried to use Smart Flash too. I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803, using this bin: BIN_LGP920hAT-00-V20a-724-XXX-DEC-22-2011-0.zip
It flashed. But, it still isn't working.
Look i am not proffesional in this this stuff but i have been in your place, so i know how you feel right now.
Smart flash isn't working, so try LG flash tool, there was a time when i didn't know nothing about flash i had similar problem like yours , but Lg flash tool cleared all the problems for me, Try to flash your file with LG flash tool Bin and fls, just don't give up yet. or try to flash the baseband only for your country. good luck mate.

Adriano, you should also check if your IMEI has changed or been deleted. That sometimes happens when flashing different roms or basebands.
Check if the IMEI under your battery is the same that shows in system settings.
If they're different, use this tutorial to change it (only the restoring imei part): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734330.
I flashed a T-Mobile Kit Kat 20g based rom on my D800 and got a lot of problems and can`t flash back to stock AT&T Kit Kat rom.The problems I`m having with the Kit Kat rom is no Play Store,no internet, and brightness don`t work.I tried tots method and that don`t work.It appears that my D800 is now a D801 with no way to return. If anybody got a fix let me know.
Also I have to reboot several times to get the usb to work to transfer files.

First make sure your rooted with twrp.Basically what I did was flashed a already stock rooted AT&T rom in twrp which I knew would brick it.That will turn it back to the correct stock ROM which in this case D800 even though the device is brick.Next get out of recovery and get the device in download mode. Then I flashed stock AT&T Kit Kat rom using tot method and the no check DLL file.May work with AT&T DLL.Didn't test.Flash it,should be successful.I will assume this method will work for others on different devices if flashed wrong rom, didn't make a backup,or however they ended up changing the device because of flashing wrong ROM.

EDIT: Looks like its not MM but some security update, so that sucks but I'd still like to know if anyone successfully got back to stock from rooted 5.1.1
Hi everyone.
I'm trying to find a way to restore my H950 to stock and completely remove any trace of root so that I can install an OTA update. I have tried installing the update with LG PC Suite and LGMobile Support Tool. Both of them say that I am on the latest software (5.1.1 H950v11?). It has been so long since I rooted it that I can't remember what method I used. If anyone has any idea how to flash it back to stock, I'd appreciate the help!
More Details:
I have an H950 (US AT&T) rooted on 5.1.1 and I just started getting an update yesterday saying that I have a system update available. When I tried to download and update, the phone I got an error while the update was still at 0%. When the phone restarted I got the "This phone is suspected in rooting..." Error.
I have tried following this thread [Guide] LG G Flex 2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) KDZ & TOT Method
but it didn't work. I got the flash utility to run but I still had SuperSU after it flashed my phone and the update still failed due to "Suspect in rooting."
I also tried following this thread [Tool] Easy Restore/Unroot Tool for LG G Flex 2 [09/15/15]!!
but I could not get it to work. The utility just hangs at "Working..."
Anyone successfully used either of these methods on an H950 with 5.1.1 to get back to stock?
Thanks in advance!

You chose cse flash and wiped correct? If you didn't that's why my guide removes everything 100% if you follow it correctly.

CSE flash? Sorry I didn't see that in your guide for the H950 on the AT&T network. I'm looking at your guide and not seeing the CSE Flash unless the LG Tool is the CSE FLash? I had the same problem with SuperSU left over and not able to update. I tried the default Upgrade method, then got a minios OS screen on the the Board method.

It's entirely possible that I am technologically inept, but I am having the exact same issue as the OP. I followed your guide (which was very helpful) for the TOT method, and there is no option to use CSE flash, or at least it's not discussed in the instructions.
I flashed my phone twice using your TOT guide -- pretty sure I followed it to the letter. It completed successfully, but when the phone rebooted, I still had root access. I'm not sure how to unroot this thing so I can receive OTA updates (and maybe sell later on down the road).
Thanks for the help!

Umm, so I found a possible solution on another thread in this forum. Maybe the answer was so simple that nobody thought to mention it. But apparently, you can just remove root access within the SuperUser app; just select "Full Unroot" or "Total Unroot" from settings. Then run this TOT flash, and you should be GTG. I am trying this now and will report as to whether I am successful.

Rooted or not you should be able to go back to stock. And CSE flash is for the kdz method of lg flash tool. Which I didn't realize what model they were needing help with. Also with the H950 LGUP should be used instead of normal flash tool to avoid any issues with the flash tool.

Hmm. Thanks for helping us out. So I am kind of confused. I reinstalled the Tot file using LGUP, and it completed successfully. I selected "REFURB" mode, and it completed successfully. But after it finished, my phone is still rooted. (I verified with root checker.) I just want to go back to stock so I can get OTA updates (and MM hopefully, when/if AT&T releases it). Now my phone won't get OTA updates because it says it's "suspected of rooting." I bought the phone used off of Swappa, so I'm not sure how exactly the original owner rooted it.

At this point you'd be better off waiting for a KDZ of MM when it comes out for the H950. (But remember, root will probably never be achieved for our devices on MM, if that's something you care about).
I remember buying TWO H950s. Both needed the OTA for the latest Lollipop. But despite several hours, several methods, and several hours at the ATT store, I was never able to get OTAs working on either of them. It was impossible.
And supposedly impossible for several other users on XDA, who couldn't get OTAs working for their ATT Flex 2's. So even if you manage to unroot, don't get your hopes high believing OTAs will work.
Did somebody ever able to go back to stock (H950) from rooted 5.1.1? Where did you get the TOT file?

Thanks. I just reflashed 10d (my mistake when I said 5d) with LGUP and uppercut. I guess you can't boot to TWRP without having flashed it first or something so I'm as good as I can be for now. Hope your issue clears up.
I realized I used a wrong command to flash boot instead of recovery.
Fortunately, I saved the 10d full ROM and I just flash it with LGUP and use correct command and install Magisk again. However, I had to wipe the machine due to mistake, but I have a backup a month ago so data loss isn't that bad.
10d seems to be a bit faster.
Full ROM + dll + instruction how to copy.

alright I have flashed the kdz file from multiple souces including this one, nothing changes on my end says completed but nothing changes, except an error message everytime I open up any app says App Updates has stopped it's getting annoying, my camera is not as good anymore either its more of a blur than anything, what do I have to do to restore this phone back to original settings and original software where I start completely over, this kdz did not do that it kept my apps, it kept everything and then gave me that error
LGUP I could only do upgrade not refurbish it just does not take it as a refurbish something with the file structure I think but that's the only option it would let me do

plug in your phone, unzip this and you will see 2 lgup icons (red). right click on the developer("D" on it) icon and choose run as administrator. notice i skipped uppercut. if you do it this way it is not needed. you have many more choices. it is even possible to put the os of one model running the same hardware into another effectively changing the model. there is no device check. If lgup refuses to do something, close it and boot it up again. Sometimes it helps.
I had 10ulm and flashed it with the G710AWM and now every time I boot my phone i get:

The phone works fine since it was unlocked, but I am getting a ton of calls go straight to voicemail and this may be the issue? How can I fix this?
any help appreciated. Thanks
also wifi calling is nowhere to be found under call settings. It seems like I don't have the setting on this version? thoughts
Don't bother pal, stick with the official rom, I had this same issue best option is to just stick with the same variant as your phone, might not be latest but it works good. FYI I have g710emw and was using g710em rom

You are probably right. What a pain to have to flash again and go back?
How are you guys backing up so that you just restore to the same phone you had without having to set up everything again?

I didn't restore, I tried out the rom first, and then just wiped it. What broke it for me was the wifi mac address somehow became lost while using it, maybe some software glitch only by flashing the same variant was I able to restore it.
Best to root and then backup and restore

Hey there, how do you do this KDZ with refurbish option? Will this mean flashing again anyways?
I was hoping that by now the official android 10 version from LG would be out for the unlocked 10ulm, but it seems that they will never update this phone for some reason. This was the Google Fi unlocked G7.
Suggestions please. Thanks

Thanks for replying.
I noticed you are the leader of the other thread I posted, so I will ask here so not to bug you too much
Will the choosing of refurbish option erase the serial or IMEI or anything else that I should be aware of?
Also, when you say flash again you mean using the canadian version correct? I was wondering about the Korean version vs the canadian and what advantage would there be in any.
If you could, please lead me to the instructions to flash again. When I did it, I used a guide from some dude on youtube and I can't find that again.
Also, read somewhere that the error at boot could be fixed by rooting and then changing something with the explorer app. Not sure if that is worth it. I just hate backing up and restoring to find I am logged out of most every app and all settings have to be set up again. It takes me hrs and I am not that technically savvy as you guys.
Thanks for your time and have a good evening.

Flash with the kdz you used before, Canadian firmware is better than Korean. In lgup select refurbish instead of partition dl. It won't tamper with your IMEI and you will loose all your data
Hi dapolicy,
I am done with the LG G7ULM since it will never be updated officially.
I really like having the fingerprint sensor on the back and it seems that the LG G8 is the last iteration of phones from LG with this feature and it is an upgrade from the G7.
It is cheap here in the US.
Which version of this phone should I look for? I will be using it on Mint Mobile, so an unlocked one sounds great and all, but then you see what happened to the G7 ULM that never got android 10 unless it was tied to a carrier.
So, what do you suggest I do so I can get the next couple of updates for android with the G8?
Thanks man!

If the firehose was available for the Wing/Velvet you can hex the FTM and fix the NT Code on the Wing. You can try the engineering service menu, but I highly doubt the IMPL is 0 under MID.
